I was using some blurred game screen grabs to experiment with a simplified workflow technique but then got distracted and just lined up a bunch of my player characters, and then I made a second sheet of a bunch of old (and a couple recent) sonas/self inserts what have you, redrawing old characters feels like a good way to stretch character design muscles and unlearn cringe culture junk.
Is this anything?
Alfheim, Sword Art:Origin, and Gun Gale Online player and Koharu designs
The face painting scenes brought intense memories of the scent of greasepaint back to me.
Not much there yet, but this has been taking up most of my art time lately. It's a cyberpunk/horror project so if that's your jam check it out.
Or if you're into beefy lesbians with scars and guns.
Starting out with the image from My icon
Haven’t drawn them since it was called sunflower, and that was 2 tumblrs and a whole transition ago.
Day 13- Peachy palette
Pomme worked in hydroponics on the Angel Nest, and on the surface has been struggling to adapt to the old fashioned soil based farms, and trying to make viable crops from wild plants
Finished up HMM blade liger the other day, no nice photos yet.
I love the real springs as the lower limb shock absorbers, but there are a lot of fragile areas near joints, which makes posing a bit nerve wracking.
It really made me want to track down some old Zoids kits, or even some wild models I haven't gotten a hold of yet.
Day 4 is re-design, and Mia and Jenna have been redesigned plenty over the years.
Almost as old as Super Kitty, Mia and Jenna have always been meant as a couple from their days as Sonic fan characters, to their years as amorphous furries/catgirls pictured here.
Most recently I adapted them to my hopeful Post-apocalyptic setting The Old Frontier. Mia is always an archaeologist disabled in an accident, Jenna always struggles to pick a career, and they were roommates.
Going to miss Lovestruck, it was my favorite visual novel in years.
