thinking about how when Garroth gets back from the Irene Dimension he immediately gives himself the task of fixing up the old docks. thinking about how the docks first came about as a direct result of Aphmaus influence on the town originally, her tasking herself out of her own good-will to fix up and serve the first town she stumbled upon and decided to call home. thinking about how garroth says he fell in love with her as soon as he knew she was a good person. thinking about how Aphmau paving streets and renovating villager houses is what made him love her. thinking about how the docks was Their spot, it's where he saw her off and waited for her to come back from all her out-of-town quests, its where they meet up after Donna and Logan's wedding and where Garroth goes to reflect after Zenix's betrayal and is comforted by her. thinking about how Garroth's love for Aph is ultimately an extension of his love for Phoenix Drop and her love for Phoenix Drop is how she shows she loves him. Thinking about when he comes back from the Irene Dimension, after inadvertently leading the town to decay, blaming himself for Aaron's death, and irreparably damaging his relationship with Aphmau his first course of action is to fix up the docks. He's fucked up and the only thing he feels he can do is what Aphmau did so long ago that proved to him she was a worthy lord and a good person: roll up his sleeves and pick up a hammer and nail.

What if the reason Aphmau truly believes that her name is Aphmau as opposed to Irene, is because her name truly is Aphmau.

What if Irene is the persona. A name she uses in the public eye to protect her family and keep her private life well.. private.

It would explain why she’s so adamant that her name is Aphmau. That she is Aphmau and not Irene. Because she is Aphmau.

And if you think about it, the only thing she had when she woke up in the woods was the clothes on her back and a name. Her name. Aphmau.

i despise his first outfit i very well may redo this at some point in the future

OK onto the headcanons and changes:

•In Ru’aun it is custom for priests of Irene to cover their mouths unless speaking about Irene specifically, in which case they will uncover their mouths. This is done as a sign of respect.

•He’s a year younger than Garroth, but has spent his entire life in his shadow. He resents Garroth because of this.

•He’s always been very tall and lanky, having a very hard time gaining muscle. Because of this, he developed mental strength as opposed to physical strength.

•He had a cat as a child. It was the only animal he ever cared for without… being cruel to..

•He tormented Vylad as a child, but whenever Garroth would step in he’d stop.

•He’s always had personality issues, but his father being so cold, cruel, and callous when he was at such an impression age made him into something twisted.

•He was a mama’s boy. Well, they all were, but Ziana babied him the most. He’s not a 🥰 mamas boy 🥰 like Garroth and Vylad. He’s a 😬 mamas boy 😬

•He was the one who killed Vylad. Garte always hated him, seeing as he’s a bastard child and an embarrassment to the crown. One day he’d had enough. Seeing as Zane would do anything to impress him, Garte ordered he kill him whilst he was alone. He did, and later reported to both his parents that a group of bandits had attacked them and Vylad was killed in the action.

•The potion in which he carries (first outfit) is an early stage forever potion. (idk thought it might be interesting)

•He was briefly engaged to Lucinda, the then daughter of Pikoro. This was when they were merely preteens. They met and he embarrassed himself so severely that Lucinda BEGGED her father to have their wedding called off. Her father witnessed this and agreed.

•Though he has many pawns of his own and is a skilled manipulator, he fails to see that he is merely a pawn to his father. His father holds no respect for him and sees him as nothing but a rat. He’s only useful because his hunger for power makes him easy to control.

•Inferiority complex X god complex = angry lil rat

•His name is one that is none throughout many regions. Some know him only as the High Priest, some “The Savior Son of O’khasis”, some merely know him as the Living Son of O’khasis, and some know him as the Snake if O’khasisz

•He has a severe distaste for Lady Irene, and despises being the High Priest. But, it keeps him in power and it’s extremely taboo for a Priest to step down.

•His eye (like the actual eyeball) is scarred due to an altercation he had with Garroth. He broke a mirror after being shoved by Garroth. A piece flew up and stuck in his eye, leaving him blind in that eye. He keeps his hair over it, but doesn’t wear an eyepatch as their seen as low class.
