Sadness is so hard to portray in seraphim’s because of the STUPID RING EYES that I love and hate at the same time UGH they look so COOL but they’re so HARD TO DRAW RIGHT AAAAAAAAAAAAA

Portraying Sera’s sadness was honestly the first time I had an issue with portraying her expressions. I didn’t just want sera to look sad, i also wanted her to look tired.

One look at her face and you can tell it’s been eating her up inside for centuries.

The sketch to lineart phase was a bit of a challenge, because she looked too clean in the line-art process. So instead I had her eyes sketched in, not full of life or intensity like her usual expressions. Just exhaustion.

i don't know this particular oc sorry, but he sounds fun!! my knowledge on ocs in the kirbyverse is a little slim; i know those belonging to mutuals and a few standout faves!

but i certainly imagine that in the world of ocs she's much less abnormal than in a canon compliant setting, where she generally spends her time!

there are dozens of knights/puffball/etc ocs and waddle dees with much wilder and more creative designs than starstrucks out there, and many with incredibly complex stories and such! i think that probably in this circumstance she would get her wish of being just like any other waddle dee again 😂
