Give them to your enemies! 😈
Give them to your boss! 🥸
(This is all a joke, please don't do those last two! 😅)
Anyway feel free to use them/give them away to your friends and loved ones, and again Happy Valentine's Day! ☺️
(Special thanks to Bleach Gree Cards for adding all these cards to their blog, thereby preserving them when the website went down!)
Update: The Karakura Kids now have cards as well!!!
Opinion on the 12th division?
Current 12th division? Eh, my opinion on them as a division is mixed like I have a distaste for some of their actions and yet I'm mainly invested in certain characters of that division. If characters like Akon, Nemu, and Mayuri weren't in it, then 12th division wouldn't be as noteworthy to me despite how essential they are to the Seireitei.
The first scene of the 12th division reacting to Rukia's gigai (ew) and even before that where it's likely that they were behind Project Spearhead to use dead bodies doesn't exactly endear me with them lol. I will say that the designs of the individual members in their manga debut fit well with how they work compared to your normal, everyday shinigami, love that aspect of them.
It says a lot that this division's officers were behind it which I feel uncomfortable with. However, I do feel a little sorry for the unassuming shinigami in Squad 12 that are just there like Mayuri being their captain, potentially getting turned into living bombs without consent (who even consents to that?!) no thanks, bro.
However, I'll admit that they're important in creating the Soul Society tech that I enjoyed seeing in the early arcs. Watching them in the TYBW anime somewhat helps in viewing them in different scenarios outside their comfort zone, especially Akon and Mayuri. Akon adds so much personality and quirks to the division's scenes, despite being a non-combative side character who does his job no matter what (dude needs a vacation plz).
Besides that, there are details about this division that do interest me like how they'll create stuff for Squad 11, like Kenpachi's eyepatch and Ikkaku's teeth, like are they open to requests? Also, Hikifune and Senjumaru hail from 12th division before Urahara set up the SRDI makes me wonder what previous purpose 12th division was meant to represent.
Thanks for the ask, anon!
Hello, thank you for the likes and your kindness. ^^
You're welcome! The same goes for you, thanks for liking my old posts!
Harribel Hollow Queen Outfit
Ninjago rewatches always mess me up because I am now burdened with the knowledge that these two scenes were happening at roughly the same time on opposite sides of town
Some alternate titles.

Really true insight, it'll be intriguing if the final chapter gets adapted and people see the full-circle of Aizen's journey to this realization.
Honestly, Bleach is a series that took time for me to understand it's core message on the importance of connections with those who make your life meaningful, especially when that message isn't in your face like other shonen.
Looking at Aizen's actions through that lens makes me think "Aizen doesn't need a backstory to make you feel sorry for him" because his very nature is so devoid of what makes us human no matter how we change as people. So many of Bleach's characters have connections they make with each other and wouldn't be who they are without their friends and adversaries.
It always surprises me when Aizen is mostly perceived as this genius-evil-mastermind like oh he is so crazy, who knows what he'll do next!! (and he is, to a certain extent, don't get me wrong) but the silent victory has Ichigo acknowledge him as a sympathetic but ultimately misguided man who sacrificed everything for godhood only to be reduced to....utter loneliness. And I find that interesting!
Of course, this isn't a Conclusive Take (tm) as Urahara's silence definitely leaves a lot of what Aizen did as up to interpretation, but the loneliness of godhood is definitely an interesting theme, especially when you consider how often it occurs in literature, where the trope of the 'God' character playing around with lives due to his own boredom is so common (see: Frankenstein, all of Greek mythology, etc etc). It isn't a stretch to say Ichigo, the Arrancar, the Vizards, the Hogyoku and even Urahara were all just an experiment to him – pawns he played with to ease his own boredom. It isn't exactly that he's evil...per se. It's that he's innately unable to relate to the lives and struggles of mortal beings, because his quest for more power/scientific discovery/pushing the limitations of nature render him devoid of empathy. The intent is not malicious, it's just...curiosity. Which makes him 10× more creepy, but ultimately not one- dimensional.
I think I read somewhere that people found Aizen to be out-of-character here in his dialogue to Yhwach in 686, but I think this is his character arc coming to a close. When he says 'people,' I think what he really means is himself and how he understands it now, now that he himself isn't as invincible as he once strived to be. When you try to alter the cycle of life, when you try to exist beyond social/existential constructs, it's ultimately a very lonely and isolating existence, and that sometimes the status quo is just a means to an end of connecting with other people (ghosts, whatever) and living in social harmony.
I don’t know which volume this poem is from, it still puts in words the dynamics of Ichigo’s and Uryu’s unique bond. Especially in TYBW where you have Ichigo stepping into a more dominant role to stop Yhwach, while Uryu submits himself to Yhwach for his own plan. Hope there’s more parallels about these two in the next 2 Cours.
We are drawn to each other like drops of water, like the planets. We repulse each other like magnets, like the colors of our skin.
I thought Shinken Hakkyōken was a cool reveal and I wished we got more backstory to it and I'm hoping we might get some in the anime and/or hell arc.
I always thought it was a failsafe in case the Soul King broke free. When the seals on him were removed his powers did attack the Sereitei and the Shinigami.
My guess is that it was specifically designed by Oetsu to combat the Soul King. Oetsu's bodyguards are examples of zanpakuto with built in powers.
It was revealed that the Ise Clan suffers from a curse that kills all men that marry into the family and also that they only birth daughters.
Nanao's mother speculated that it was Shinken Hakkyōken's doing.
It made me think about the incorrect relationships between Shinigami and zanpakuto that could develop which were mentioned by Oetsu.
I also thought of Oetsu having a harem of female zanpakuto spirits to serve him. I think maybe Shinken Hakkyōken has a similar mindset as his creator and sees the Ise Clan as his wives and him as their true husband.
Oetsu regulates male zanpakuto to working behind the scenes. But I think Shinken Hakkyōken is more extreme so kills off their husbands and ensures they only have daughters.
