I’m currently suffering hay fever from the seasons (essentially pre-winter to freeze and die winter) and I have a bone to pick with Snufkin because how is he hawling his ass to get to Moominvalley ON THE FIRST DAY OF SPRING. like sweet lord how is he not just a sniffling, red eyed, mopy, teary mess of a man with two tissues shoved up his nose. I’m dying because I dared to wake up and needed to breathe and that man is GOING ON A HIKE. WILLINGLY.

Like shit Moomintroll you got yourself a dedicated mans right there.

Or maybe he does suffer with the sniffles, he just waits till he set up camp and sits down in his tent. then BOOM tears just explode out of his face and the violent sneezing begins and if anyone goes to check on him he’s just like “oh yea I’m wonderful, the first day of spring in Moominvalley always gets me a little teary eyed”

Ah but a rather (unfortunate) common occurrence with me and my boyfriend

Since obviously our boy Snufkin loves to travel anywhere and everywhere, so my crossover loving ass likes to think that he’d eventually run into other characters from all my favourite medias! Like just imagine how wholesome it would be!!

Like imagine during his travels he comes across a tombstone and puts a coin on it to respect the deceased and as he goes to turn around and be on his way. He bumpsinto the grounds keeper, who just happens to be a pre-mighty nein caduceus clay, who’d be more than happy to have tea with him. And both of them exchanging tea recipes, even if Snufkin won’t have the means to make it.

can’t write anymore ironically or at least in a way that I can actually express, that isn’t just rambling but I promise you I’ve definitely imagined different scenarios and who he’d meet along the way but please tell me if you have any of your own!! Here’s that part 2 of my Moominvalley season 3 ramble? That I promised!! A couple of days ago but shhhhhhhh

Moominpapa really was just trying to see if he could get away with murder, while also looking for a possible business opportunity and honestly? Respect the hustle.

I also love that Cedric is from Ms.Fillyjonk and it also gives a timeline to Melody of Moominvalley, I’m sure I’m probably late to realising that it’s a post season game but shhhh

Oh my god they’ve got some pipes and the whole musical number was really sweet, I really have grown to like Ms.Fillyjonk and I want that song either extended or put on Spotify but I kinda want both, as a little treat >:))

I’m glad that once again Moomin is trying to learn boundaries with Snufkin it’s kinda fair that he is trying to not be in Snufkins space too much and help out where he can but simultaneously god damn poor Snufkin he’s just trying to chill and check on toofle and BOOM EMPLOYENT.

I did love him and the Hemulens dynamic that episode it was so sweet how much they both cared about the children at the park, also once again didn’t realise that pretty much all the employed people of Moominvalley are Hemulens. That kinda cool because like they don’t really have a finical system or at least one that’s necessary, so they can literally just have whatever job they want and I’m kinda jealous.

Also it seems my boyfriend is actually enjoying it quite a bit and might actually watch the full thing!! And he immediately noticed that something was off about the hattifattner and I was so happy about that.

“I don’t know the meaning of the word”

Without missing a beat they said.

“Oh trust me. We know.”

“You didn’t give up on your dream, you just shelved it”

Cue us both looking at each other and laughing our asses off, it’s super fun watching it with someone else!!

Snufkin made his one on screen appearance in Moominmama’s dream and we were both ready for him to be halfway down the beach, like he did last time he talked to Moominmama god it was hilarious. If I ever figure out how to make a gif I promise ill add it here

I’m so proud of myself for the timing of us watching the last episode, we watched it the day of the eclipse happened and shockingly Sniff was the only one smart enough to wear sunglasses.

I also loved that Snorkmaiden was going to be the one who did the midsummers spell (I know it was with Moomintroll too but shh) and ended up also showing little my and I can’t lie and say that I wasn’t hoping that it would show eachother (they’ve kinda grown on me as a ship)

Snork was a delightful character and I’m absolutely devastated by the unfortunate passing of Chance Perdomo may he rest in peace (I apologise I wasn’t too sure where to put this in the post)

The ending of season 3 was actually really sweet and I’m so glad that we are getting a season 4 soon, I can’t wait to see how they make me consider getting therapy!! But thank you for reading this! And I hope you have a wonderful day/night/time!!

Season 3 of Moominvalley (2019) Once again is banger after banger and has honestly become a show that I’ll definitely rewatch again!! (Especially since I now have someone to watch it with!!) P.S THIS IS PROBABLY GONNA BE A PART ONE BECAUSE IM ✨TIRED✨

To be honest I think Jack Rowan as the new voice of Moomintroll is honestly a pretty great choice, he sounds like he took time and grew into himself. With a nice hint of Moominpapa in his tonality (especially when being dramatic) but still is relatively soft spoken and mixes well with the rest of the cast.

God Episode 3 got me in the guts too, seriously what is it with this show and knowing just where to attack me. Little My’s struggle with feeling like one of the family, especially with her father figure is. Once again very relatable considering so when Moominpapa said he loved her, my heart warmed up so much because goddamn I wAnT tHaT…. And seeing the family growing closer together is always a delight!

Stinky going around saying ‘pinch, grab, take, steal’ over and over is so goofy and that Moominmama has/had a bad girl streak feels so appropriate for her. We love a badass, good mama.

I’m honestly shocked that Moomin didn’t immediately go to Snufkin when it came to taking toffle home p.s my partner literally was like

“ah there’s ya boyfriend” (he hasn’t fully watched the show he’s just watching with me now)

I was so hyped for the lonely mountain episode and honestly it was pretty darn great and fruity with just the right amount of pinning!!

Jesus Moomin found him so fast like I know Snufkin said where he was staying but like GODDMAN THERE WERE SO MANY MOUNTIANS. I also love how Snufkin immediately was like ‘alrighty let’s warm you up dear ^-^ ‘ and then immediately got overwhelmed. Once again completely understandable, especially since my partner had just moved in the week before we started watching it so we’re learning to co-exist and I’m so glad the Moomin parents were there to save the boys and the possible confession of Snufkin In which way? Who’s to say.

I’ve very much enjoyed this season and I’m super hype for what they have planned next!! I’ll probably post part two tomorrow sometime!! (Also how is this style of formatting?? Please let me know!!) but thank you very much for reading this!! Have a lovely day/night/time!!

What’s up with the humans in Moominvalley?? (2019) Like are they actually human, or just humanoid? Because I’ve seen people draw Snufkin and sometimes Little My with a tail. I mean Mymble seems to be a human rabbit mix because of how many children she has (lol) but seriously there’s only like a handful of humans and whenever they pop up I’m just so confused by their presence

Too-Ticky seems to be human and imma just assume so because 😎👍 but Snufkin and Little My aren’t off the hook because I’ve seen that in a different version of Moominvalley Snufkin has a dad?? (Pfft can’t relate) and isn’t his name like The Joxter? And that he has a tail in that version because if so then does Snufkin in that version have a tail too or not? And if not is that because of Mymble?

I’m not sure either way but I will say I do love seeing Snufkin with a tail, I think it’s adorable and tails are under appreciated in my eyes but thank you for reading this and have a lovely day/night/time!!

So I’ve finished Moominvalley season 2 (2019) and my god I loved it but it hurt me so much in return holy wow. Anyway if you’d like some of my thoughts about it feel free to keep reading ^-^

(fair warning it’s a lot longer than I thought it’d be)

Episode 2 the fire spirit got me so bad in my feelings and even funnier yet I could tell it would by not only the title and thumbnail but the second I heard the song by cavetown I literally was like ‘hm it sounds like something by cavetown…This should be fine’

oh how wrong I was because of how it ended with the little fire spirit sacrificing itself to save Moominvalley and how upset Snufkin was, he seemed to be pretty attached to the lil goober when the gang dropped it off.

So having his care and attempts to protect it, be basically for nothing would’ve been soul crushing for him.

Holywow I loved how the Hobgoblin and Sniff were just bouncing off eachother so well. Then the Hobgoblin giving Sniff ✨EMPATHY✨ my god that was amazing, especially with how Moominpapa and Little My were like “ew get away from me”

I love how the Groke is now just becoming a more casual part of the community especially with the trial episode, like don’t get me wrong they’re still uneasy with her presence but they still wanted to give her a fair trial and everything.

Ooooh no the ✨The bad feelings✨ I was having about Snorkmaiden and Moomintroll were riiiighttttt. Moomintroll seemed more angry about having to leave the valley (and Snufkin by association) than leaving Snorkmaiden to the point he was unintentionally hurting her. Twice. Technically thrice if you include the fact they broke up. But I’m glad that Moomintroll is beginning to learn that he’s gonna have to accept a couple of things about Snufkin, if he ever wants him to stay. But still kinda hurts a bit.

I loved that Moominpapa and Moominmama have character arcs that don’t involve getting divorced, it’s refreshing and sure they still fight and have moments being mad at eachother but at the end of the day they still love each other and honestly? I love them for that.

Ah Moominpapas midlife crisis, I hope that I can be able to just pack up and go when I hit mine. Sounds like the dream honestly and I wish I could be as creative as Moominmama, just painting the walls with no worries.

I also LOVED the sea shanties just 👌😩 it brings me so much joy because there was a good chunk of time where that’s all I’d listen too.

The last episode though also gave me a gut punch because of the fact Snufkin came back before he left for the winter, and that he just welcomes himself in because he knows that they wouldn’t mind him being there, regardless of if they are or not. I hate it here. Snufkin you found family fuck. And that everyone there played ‘The Moomin Family’ for the kid.

“Have you checked his bedroom yet?”

“Naturally c:”

of course you have you absolute loser I love you for that. Seeing him get so excited about possibly finding HIS letter, only to be disappointed was devastating too.

Oh but the puppet show, oh when I tell you I almost cried, It’s even sadder that Moomintroll (seemingly) isn’t going to back to Moominvalley. Also my heart dropped to my ass when they almost lit the fire with the ancestors inside, but Snufkin excitedly finding the note inside the fireplace? Put my heart right back in my throat

But more lightheartedly damn Snufkin has got some moves and seeing everyone close to the Moomin family looking back at their time and memories together fondly was so incredibly sweet.

Anyways TL;DR a super strong season that got me right in the feels every time, I’m so excited to be able to start the 3rd season soon!! But thank you so much for reading this! I hope you have a wonderful day, night or time and take care!!

Okay immediately episode 8 and 11 are probably my favourite episodes of Moominvalley (2019) I’m so glad I started watching it!!

The Groke is HORRIFYING I DONT GET HOW CALM SNUFKIN WAS.

“the only thing to fear here, is fear itself”

like BABES NO SHE WAS ACTUALLY A BIT SCARY, I HATED HER SOUND DESGIN AND HER CONSTANT STARING. That just makes her appearance in the game all the more horrifying, because it told me the prompt to run RIGHT BEOFRE she was introduced.

Snufkin running out of social battery was quite relatable to me, but it’s so sweet how he still immediately went to help Moomin and Sniff out. The ice skating scene was beautiful! I love the music and animation for it!! It was so delightful and filled me with some whimsy!!

My god the ending of 11 kinda got me a little bit until

“was I your best friend?”

“Yes! Well after snufkin“

and the fact he turned green, poor Moomin is gonna has PTSD from the colour.

And I loved the ‘spirits and how to mix them’ joke and how ever so casually Moominpapa was like ‘nope it’s not Those kind of spirits’

Man Ninny also hits me way to close to home too and I appreciate that they gave her multiple non-verbal ways of communication, OH MY GOD IM READY NOW NO WAY IM GONNA SOB I DIDNT KNOW THIS WAS THE CONTEXT FOR IT BUT IRONICALLY I USE THAT SONG TO HELP RECOVER AFTER A MELTDOWN

(If you couldn’t guess this was written in the moment, while i too was having a moment.)

Anyways if you can’t tell I’ve finished season one and it’s safe to say I’m hooked and I need more. But thank you for reading my delightful little brain rot, and I’ll be sure to update more as we go because there’s still so much to see!!

Okay so I’m absolutely loving Moominvalley (2019) it’s been amazing especially after playing Snufkin: Melody of Moominvalley because I’m learning the lore as I go and it’s been absolute blast!! (I’m on episode 8 btw so preferably not a lot of spoilers) but here’s some of my thoughts and feelings if you wish to read!

You can definitely tell that Snufkin: Melody of Moominvalley was made with a lot of love and being able to connect peices from both media’s is such a treat and gives me a better appreciation for the show ^-^

I love how the hatterfattiers travel in odds probably to keep themselves from sparking off!

I loved Snufkin and Little My’s dynamic, it was chaotic but also pretty endearing at times (I want more of them playing music together, and just more screen time with them both. They perfectly represent my remaining brain cells)

At first I wasn’t a huge fan of Snorkmaiden and Moomintroll being together but they’ve really grown on me. Other than the fact that Moomintroll is kinda fumbling with how he treats her, it’s a little bit painful to watch. I kinda hope they work it out but my gut just has ✨the bad feelings✨

Little my is an absolute menace and it’s either for good reason or just to cause problems, I love the inner guessing game I have whenever she pops up on the screen!! She’s probably my favourite character.

I understand that Snufkin leaves Moominvalley during the winter but like where does he go?? Because my immediate thought was ‘oh he just goes into the unknown or something kinda similar probably, he’d fit in pretty great’ like yea probably but babes, that means every winter he lays down and is like “yep this looks like a pretty great spot to just decompress and decompose, anyway good night” and just hangs out there for 3-5 months.

I’ve been wanting to watch Moomin Valley lately but I just mentally haven’t gotten around to it. BUT I’ve played Snufkin: Melody of Moomin Valley and I’m not emotionally ready for my perception of Snufkin to be changed.

Because from the game all I’ve gotten from him is:

“Gotta see moomin troll.” Is the most common phrase you’ll hear out of this man for the first few days of spring.

“Fuck the police, me and moomin troll hate the police.”

Happily destroying invasive police and their stupid signs.

“Ah little my!, you little shit. Thanks.”

Anyway I could be completely wrong but to summarise I think he’s a little bastard man, and if anyone has any preference on which version I should watch/read first please let me know!!

Wirt and Greg are both ‘I listen to everything’ kinda dudes but in completely opposite ways. Wirt has a couple of playlists for general moods with all different kinds of artists/songs. With them all making sense on why it’s on said playlist (basically little bit of everything but with preferences)

Greg on the other hand…just a liked playlist. That’s it and Wirt hates it

Greg would 1000% have only funky patterned socks and just so happens to some for every occasion and reason imaginable

For Halloween following after the unknown. Greg, Wirt and Sara would run a little haunted house type of thing based on their experiences in the unknown, and it actually is a huge hit which both excites yet horrifies the trio as they don’t know how to expand on it

Wirt swears he’s seen someone that looks like how he’d imagine Beatrice to look but can never get the nerve to talk to her.

Jason funderburker (the person) would eventually just be called jason by Greg and possibly Wirt as he isn’t the true jason funderburker and he’s kinda accepted that fact.
