Experimenting with a more painterly gouache platinum gold morph red fox??? Yeah
"That old human box wasn't here yesterday. They are moving on their own and I keep thinking something is moving inside them..."
Oh wow, I’ve actually not heard/seen many recordings of red foxes making these kinds of growl-like vocalisations they are capable of before. Really fascinating footage!
A new (and sadly mangy) fox turned up last night and The Unit was not happy. Managed to capture one of the few vocalisations I've never got on camera before: a growl!
Red foxes don't really growl in the way dogs and wolves do, but an unhappy fox will occasionally make a guttural rumbling sound that's basically the fox equivalent of a growl. It's one of the rarer fox vocalisations to hear so pretty happy to have got it on camera!
This is also quite an interesting piece of footage as the other fox is female and it's pretty uncommon for male foxes to show aggression/hostility towards females. I wonder if it's because she has mange as I have noticed foxes can be more hostile towards mangy ones to try and drive them away.
Looking at this now I realise his hair makes him look kind of like a scenecore sparkledog. I'm not complaining at all!!!
Why do I love the fried-lipid corporation clown dog, seriously why the fuck have I hyperfixated on this little guy for so long??
This was fun to draw though, so yeshhhh
I keep thinking about this little guy a lot (why am I hyperfixated on these shitty fried lipid corporation cartoons god damn!!!!)
Sundae deserved better than to be subjected to the constant apathy of the fryer oil clown deity and his gang of obnoxious fast food monsters smh
Look, I know he's from a bunch of crusty VHS cartoons to endorse the fried lipids corporation but I love this dog!!! Sundae!!!
I always love canine characters, even if they're from 40 minute long advertisements (yes I am a silly critter)
Dynastes tityus, my beloved
(For a page I’m making for my website >:3)
(Also I posted this earlier but realised I’d used the common name for the related species Dynastes grantii in the image because I am a dumb bugfox who somehow didn’t initially notice oh no!!!)
In the Autumn we become anew
This fox waits. Will they ever know that at some point in time, their coat could have been the most saturated crimson hue of all the vulpines in the world? Contingency suggests so, but who are we to judge?
Messing with gouache and ink on kraft paper again wheee!!!
They/them, ace-aro, adult. Hybrid fox (Vulpes vulpes) and arthropod (various bugs) therian/otherkin. I am a bugfox critter who can found amongst deep hardwood leaf litter or in an old computer monitor eating a discarded pastry. I scrawl art of other critters. Hi!! :3(Art tag is #sadanimalcore, text posts are #bugfox_noises and reblogs tag is #reblogge )
