I headcanons that Donatello, despite being the smallest of his brothers, was the child prodigy when it comes to Ninjitsu during his formative years— although he may not particularly enjoy it, he's just so happen to excel at it.
This is because he can imitate the best; copying a form shown by Splinter to a 'T'. It doesn't take long for him to study and follow a pattern when presented to him, causing him to be able to master certain techniques flawlessly and without much problem. Leo might be having trouble perfecting it, or Raph might have some issues with his temper, or Mikey when it comes to actually paying attention, but these sorts of things came to Donnie rather naturally.
However, as years passed, and Donnie is slowly growing ragged caring for his family, so does his skills.
His intellect was quickly put to use in all forms of way; having to salvage every piece of technology that comes his way and make them into some useful appliances. He's the only one that eats with the knowledge of how long their food rations will last, the only one who sleeps thinking if their heaters would stay functioning throughout winter, working high and low to keep them alive to see the next sunrise.
Evidently, this affects other aspects of his life as well.
He couldn't keep up with his brothers' unrelenting pace during the day due to how much he's working throughout the night. He's so exhausted that he could barely keep his head up during training/practice, so much that he's falling behind.
ANON,,,,, ANON WHEN I GET YOU ANON—
Like. He's had to work hard to keep his family alive from such a young age
He barely needed to try in training but the older he got and the more he worked he could barely keep up. If that isn't gifted kid burnout I don't know what is
Encouragment for writers that I know seems discouraging at first but I promise it’s motivational-
• Those emotional scenes you’ve planned will never be as good on page as they are in your head. To YOU. Your audience, however, is eating it up. Just because you can’t articulate the emotion of a scene to your satisfaction doesn’t mean it’s not impacting the reader.
• Sometimes a sentence, a paragraph, or even a whole scene will not be salvagable. Either it wasn’t necessary to the story to begin with, or you can put it to the side and re-write it later, but for now it’s gotta go. It doesn’t make you a bad writer to have to trim, it makes you a good writer to know to trim.
• There are several stories just like yours. And that’s okay, there’s no story in existence of completely original concepts. What makes your story “original” is that it’s yours. No one else can write your story the way you can.
• You have writing weaknesses. Everyone does. But don’t accept your writing weaknesses as unchanging facts about yourself. Don’t be content with being crap at description, dialogue, world building, etc. Writers that are comfortable being crap at things won’t improve, and that’s not you. It’s going to burn, but work that muscle. I promise you’ll like the outcome.

This is the best caption you ever seen
I've seen quite a good amount of people with transfem 12 Leo headcannons BUT how is it that have I not seen at least ONE person with the headcannon that she'd change her name to Miwa (specifically in reference to after Splinter dies, maybe as another way to honor his memory)
I don't think we talk enough about how the 2012 Kraang are literally responsible for the creation and evolution of the human race
I love how we both see this scene and have two entirely different takeaways on what is worthy of screenshotting/sharing-
Me: WET CAT, SOAKED DOG, MISERABLE CHINCHILLA 😭
You: Hahaha, look at the sporadic jellyfish <3
