"Vladimir, STOP!" Is Unfortunately Killing Me

Nintendo's announcement of a new #GameCube controller for the #Switch2 has frustrated fans.

It will only work with titles from the "Nintendo GameCube: #Nintendo Classics" service, abandoning the broader compatibility of previous retro controllers. Unlike NES, SNES, Mega Drive, and N64 pads, which function as Pro Controllers in various Switch games, this version is restricted despite having inputs suitable for modern titles. This decision blocks its use in future games like #SuperSmashBros., where the GameCube controller has been a favorite for years.

Labeled solely for GameCube Classics, it is criticized as a restrictive choice that favors Nintendo's digital ecosystem over player gameplay options.

I was putting on my shoes and singing nonsense to myself, and the idea for this video came to mind.

We need to stop talking about the legality of trumps actions. It doesn't matter if it's legal. The US government has already decided that he can do whatever he wants. What we need to focus on, is what we the people can do about it.

How can we help one another? How can we protect ourselves and our communities?

Put together community funds. Those of us who have money may be able to handle things when they come, but those without are left trying to play catchup with everything.

Organize community cupboards. Gather things you no longer need, or use, and prepare them for re-use by people in the community. Set up places where you can share things like clothing, furniture, even media like books or movies.

Prepare to teach people in your community skills that can benefit them. Teach sewing, knitting, gardening, etc. This can help members of the community be both more independent, and more capable of helping the community at large.

Organize movements to step in when organizations like ICE come to tear people out of your community.

And for God's sake, visit your public library. There are Hella resources available there. I've been able to get access to books, movies, and the typical shit you'd expect to find there. But, I've also been able to access seeds. There are services to help you with just about anything through the library.

There are things I'd like to recommend, but I cannot because unlike the trump administration, I can't disobey the law publicly.
