AFO is so deeply funny to me.
He’ll just be looking at people’s pain and trauma and go "that’s free real estate" he will look at your quirk and go "my quirk now :)" he will find an orphan in the streets and be like "hmmm I’m just gonna take it I think"
I look at him and see this
this chapter bringing up lady nagant as a villain too just makes me want to ask... why. why is she a villain? is it because she:
killed people for the heroes/hpsc
killed the person who was threatening her (the hpsc president)
momentarily allied herself with AFO despite hurting no one while taking his orders
because uuuuhhh i can think of another character who has done basically all of these things and yet isn't treated like he's indebted to society. so care to lay it out for me, horikoshi? what is lady nagant's crime?🙃
it’s very cute natsuo and touya shared a room. clearly they had so much space, and money, it’s pretty much a decision that they really wanted to share. They sleep side by side with their futons, and the picture with Touya at his computer desk showed another computer desk littered with toys younger children would play with, like a mech, so I’m guessing that’s Natsuo’s. It’s just very cute.
Something I also want to point out - Touya has books on his desk. Likely because he’s in middle school and probably studying to get into a good high school. But also given we’ve been privy to the fact he does in fact write randomly poetic stuff (the whole ‘his light invites darkness’ thing) and Smash telling us he writes in a refined way and signs his name like an artist, it also shows us:
notice it’s Touya who has a lamp on his side of their futons? I’m sure this is showing us that Touya also likes reading before bed. Of the two brothers, at least when Natsuo was that young, Touya is probably very bookish. Just an interesting characterization.
this line is so jarring to me because if shigaraki really is gone... where are his friends waiting?
up until now we always took their survival for granted, no matter the situation they ended up in. toga's blood loss. dabi's quirk awakening at the brink of death.
but calling back on shiggy's line "even if [...] i turned into an empty shell, i'd still need to become a hero to those guys"
suddenly has me worried about the fate of toga and dabi.
they're waiting for him.
i actually didnt think it could get worse but touya's reveal being the thing that brought the todorokis together and finally made them ally themselves with endeavour regardless of all the trauma he caused them and how impossible they've found it to even hang out together as a family for the entire decade touya has been gone. THAT being what binds them. they might as well have spat in the face of touya's memory. it's not even an acknowledgement that dabi must be stopped it's just like they never even loved him. endeavour is giving him more sympathy than them. 'you will have to fight dabi one day' et tu rei?
