Shower Thoughts: Water

Speaking as someone who's been outed many, many times, by both "allies" and homo/transphobes, some of yall are way too comfortable sharing other peoples' queer identities.

"But what if I'm trying to be funny?" Doesn't matter.

"But what if I'm an ally?" Doesn't matter

"But what if the person I'm talking to is an ally?" Doesn't matter.

"But what if I'm queer?" Doesn't matter

"But what if the person I'm talking to is queer?" Doesn't matter.

"But what if the person I'm talking about is a stranger?" Doesn't matter.

"But what if it's really obvious?" First of all, ew. Second of all, Doesn't matter.

"But what if they didn't come out to me, I just figured it out on my own?" Doesn't matter.

"But what if they're getting misgendered?" It's just as easy to say 'actually she's a girl' as it is to say 'actually she's transgender and uses she/her'. If that person is pretransition, it's also easy to just bite your tongue and not say anything.

Unless that person has explicitly given you permission to share that information, you DON'T. No matter how certain you are that everyone is accepting, no matter how noble your intentions, it's not your information to share. Getting clocked sucks, getting outed sucks, and they're both an invasion of privacy no matter who's doing it.

Deleting accounts

So about a week ago I noticed how many emails I was getting from websites I had accounts on that I never used so I started to try and delete some of them. Bc some companies decide to make it complicated this is how I deleted some of my accounts.

Goodreads

They don't have any links to click at the bottom of their email so you have to google goodreads, sign in, go to settings, click account preferences (I think), and scroll all the way down. Then there is a small red text "that says delete my account" click it, confirm your choice and you are done.

Candy

There is no button to delete your account. If you google it they will tell you to email them a request, don't do that. I did and gmail just told me that there was no email address under that. Instead go to this link

Or click the little question mark in the top right corner and click submit a request. Then once you are on the request page fill that out and submit it. Then you will get an email saying they have gotten your email and that they generally respond in 1 business day. They havn't responded to me yet so I don't know how easy it actually it.

Electronic Arts

There is no button to delete your account. You have to email them. I was looking at the discussion board and several people were complaining that they emailed and have to confirm their identity and then get another email and have to confirm it all over again. The answer for that question and when you google it is the same thing and basically useless. I haven't emailed them get because of this.

Hero Forge

For this one there is nothing on their site or even the request page. A quick google seach will tell you to email Support@HeroForge.com and provide the email used. I did just that and I got a email saying that they have received it and it will take 1 or 2 business days.

This is your reminder to delete accounts you don't use. Also I'm not saying this is completing accurate, if anyone know a better way to delete accounts pls tell us. Defiantly expect more of these and if people want to share how to delete accounts on other site pls do.

the thing that gets me about about barbie is that barbie land wasn’t even purposefully a matriarchy, barbie land came about because of the way little girls were playing with their barbies, it wasn’t created by mattel it was created by the people using the toys, so the fact that the barbies ignored the ken’s and had girls night every night wasn’t because they had some bias against him, it was just an accurate depiction of how kids play with barbies. I had some ken dolls as a child and they were essential to the plot in the sense that of course my barbie has a boyfriend because that represented the world i saw around me, but also he didn’t have any purpose in my dream world because i was only interested in what the girls were doing because they represented me and how i wanted to be, I wanted girls night every night I wanted the girls to be president and austronauts and not because of some inherent feminist idea but because I was a girl and I wasn’t thinking about boys, ken was an accessory. this movie wasn’t made to change the world but it showed a different perspective than what we usually see which I thought was fun. Men don’t have to be the centre of all our stories and its not even because we hate them, sometimes we’re just not thinking about them

I love how Sirius and Regulus are both huge drama queens, but in two completely different way.

At the slightest inconvenience, Sirius would roll on the floor and whine, demanding 100% of his friends' attention, while Regulus would simply go drown himself in the lake.

I just love when a whumpee is walking around, trying to pretend that everything is fine and dandy, but the whole time their clothes are rubbing painfully against hastily bandages wounds, messy stitches, bruised skin, raw flesh, etc.

I feel like this is best exemplified with tight-fitting clothes and especially jeans, as the fabric is rough and stiff, creating a constant chafing effect. But it also works with loose-fitting clothes, where the ghosting of fabric over an injured torso could feel like fire.

Best accompanied by whumpee’s hand continuously returning to the same spot on their body as if to soothe an ache before quickly moving away to avoid suspicion OR whumpee holding back a wince every time someone touches them/brushes against them in the wrong spot.

Bonus: blood slowly seeping through clothing

important reminder: if you are white (or have light/pale skin in general) and you want to cosplay as any Encanto character with darker skin tone than your own you do not need to paint your skin or/and make it looks darker

I saw so many white people painting their skin to make it looks like Dolores’ and it makes me feel sick please don’t do it
