this is so important, take care of yourself babes
I wonder if you have tips on how to deal with depression and finding joy in life again when you struggle to feel it đŤ đ
I will try my best to answer this but I am not super educated on this subject so keep that in mind.
Depression can often make it feel like the joy has been sucked out of life, but it's important to remember that you are not alone and that help is available.
SEEK PROFESSIONAL HELP
If you are feeling depressed, it's important to reach out to a mental health professional. They can provide you with a proper diagnosis and treatment plan, which may include therapy, medication, or both. If your diagnosis includes medication it is also important to not get addicted to it, as that could lead to other thing
STAY CONNECTED
Loneliness can exacerbate feelings of depression, so try to stay connected with friends and family. Even if you don't feel like talking about your feelings, just spending time with loved ones can provide a much needed boost. But also make sure you are taking time to yourself
SELF CARE
This can mean different things for different people, but essentially, it's about taking care of your physical, emotional, and mental health. This could involve getting regular exercise, eating a healthy diet, getting enough sleep, or practicing mindfulness and relaxation techniques.
FIND JOY IN SMALL THINGS
When you're depressed, it can be hard to find joy in anything. But try to take pleasure in small, everyday things. This could be a cup of your favorite tea, a walk in the park, or an episode of a show you love.
BE PATIENT WITH YOURSELF
Recovery from depression takes time, and it's okay to have bad days. Don't beat yourself up if you're not feeling better right away.
LIMIT EXPOSURE TO NEGATIVITY
Try to limit your exposure to negative news and stressful situations. Surround yourself with positivity as much as you can.
SET PERSONAL GOALS
Having something to work towards can provide a sense of purpose, which can in turn lead to feelings of joy and fulfillment. This could be anything from learning a new skill, to completing a project, or achieving a fitness goal.
UPLIFTING ACTIVITIES
Engage in activities that make you happy. This could be reading a good book, listening to your favorite music, painting, or spending time in nature.
PRACTICE GRATITUDE
Try to focus on the positive aspects of your life. This might be difficult during a depressive episode, but acknowledging and appreciating what you have can enhance feelings of joy and satisfaction.

I'm a big supporter of "the gods love you, regardless of how much you're able to do to worship them", but at the same time, it's difficult to forge a relationship with any deity (or even other people) if you don't allow yourself to be known by them. If you don't have moments of vulnerability, moments of silliness, moments of small joy even, then it's difficult to forge relationships or take them to a deeper level. Loving gods (or even other people) can be a scary thing for some people (hell, it was for me), but if you don't allow your heart to be exposed, even just a little, then you're not going to get back as much as you're hoping to.
Anything that's worth anything in life is going to require some level of risk, as terrifying as that feels sometimes, and in my opinion, having a deeper connection with a deity is one of those things that's worth the risk.
My point isn't that we aren't loved by the gods if we don't do a ritual everyday or pray every hour; my point here is that we cannot deepen our bonds if we aren't willing to dip more than just our toes into our deity relationships. Love your gods, and know that you are loved, but they can't really help you if you won't let them in, you know?
My doctor and therapist: now with this autism + ADHD diagnosis you need to learn to unmask because masking all the time will make you burn out again and feel like shit
Other people: well it's just interesting how after getting the diagnosis you suddenly start behaving like that I mean I'm not saying you're faking it's just funny how you suddenly cannot be normal like you were before
this post is all about how to process emotions that we are uncomfortable with, safely and positively. Today, Iâd like it if youâd try to implement at least one technique today!
Remember that when you feel an emotion, it is your body communicating itself to you. Listen to your emotion, and understand.
All emotions are temporary, and will pass. But some can leave a more long term effect on us.
Having the skill of sitting through uncomfortable emotions calmly, and not let it impact our lives greatly will serve you well.
STOP TECHNIQUE
S- Stop what youâre doing, pause all activities and shut off your brain.
T- Take a few deep breathes, continue until your focus is only on breathing deeply.
O- Observe your thoughts, your body language, any physical sensations and acknowledge them within you.
P- Proceed with any activity that may help you process this emotion. Meditation, journaling, stretching, talking to someone, etc.
ALL TECHNIQUE
A- Acknowledge, accept and alllow what you feel. Identify what emotion you feel, if you canât, try to associate it with something. Sit in this feeling for awhile and truly accept it within you.
L- Link it to a circumstance or situation that may explain why youâre feeling this way. E.g âI feel so irritated lately, it may be because Iâve been eating sugary foods moreâ
L- Learn what this emotion may be telling you. Thereâs not much detail on this because only you know what your body needs/wants.
SELF EXPRESSION
Draw, write, compose music on what this feeling looks like, sounds like, maybe even their taste. This really helps go deep in your emotions, analyse it and then hopefully process it.
In an exclusive statement shared with NBC News, Heard, who now lives in Spain, said: âSocial media is the absolute personification of the classic saying âA lie travels halfway around the world before truth can get its boots on.â I saw this firsthand and up close. Itâs as horrifying as it is destructive.â
Dionysus was there when those two boys got too drunk at the party and sloppily kissed in the alley. What are they doing? What does it mean? What are they to each other? It doesnât matter.
Dionysus was there when the girl who was sick of her hair went mad in the bathroom and buzzed it all off. In that moment, she was flying, and she truly felt free.
Dionysus was there when the girl was standing in front of the mirror, about to take a shower, putting lipstick on her eyebrows and eyeshadow on her cheeks, looking wild and partaking in the gentle joy of painting her face, knowing that before she is seen again, she can wash it all down the drain.
Dionysus was there the first time the 30 something man tried on a dress. As he poured himself a glass of wine and posed in the mirror. How elegant he was in the cramped confines of that dingy motel. For tonight, he can be his effeminate self, knowing that this secret is all his to indulge in.
Dionysus was there when the girls got together, removed their tight bras and danced in freedom as they burped and screamed and cried and howled. These women are insane! How mad they become when theyâre free from the burden of society! They were laying on the floor with their stomachs out, breasts sagging, hair disheveled, saying crude words that women must not say. For a moment they were no longer trapped in suburbia. They were in the wild woods, far away from any rule or law. They were free! Free and mad!
Dionysus was there, and no matter how hard they try to deny it, he will always be.
Hear me, Lord Hermes, Splendid One!
Let your name be sung throughout the land!
May you always be praised, never lost to time.
Hear me, Glorious One!
Your grace and love are not lost on me.
Your eternal gifts bless my heart,
And my lips will sing of you.
Hear me, Keeper of the Flock!
You guide my path with great care and attention.
I come to you for protection.
May you shelter me from harm,
And lead me through this life.
Hail to the great Lord Hermes!
Another thing that both Stormy Weather and Climatiqueen share is that while they are both technically the first episode in their seasons, and are supposed to kick off the story, both of which do so well. They are also supposed to show off the animation, especially the fights/battles with the akumas.
The show runners probably already knew, even before announcing it that fans were going to push back at the new animation. It's new, and people have a hard time with change. So they had to go with a story that fans already kinda knew, Aurora gets akumatized into Stormy Weather or variation, Ladybug and Chat Noir come to the scene and save the day (this time with a little help). They used call backs from the original battle, but while in Stormy Weather Ladybug and Chat Noir had only begun working together, whereas in Climatiqueen they've been working together over a year.
My only very small gripe...is that I think this episode would have been a good one to show both Marinette and Adrien's transformation sequence. Because it is the "first" episode it would have been a great away to "introduce" the new suits, even if we already seen it before.
all the posts about megan fox and sabrina carpenter getting cheated on being in utter shock that this would happen to women like them. because theyâre too beautiful and theyâre exactly what men want and how could this happen? as if it has ever mattered whether youâre the perfect woman or not. men are now calling sidney sweeney and margot robbie âmidâ. itâs a waste of your whole lives as women to try to reach their standards. theyâll want to fuck you one second and theyâll hate you the next, no matter how hard you try. looking beautiful to them means nothing.
