note from xe: this is a dream I had the other day! I changed some things and added others, but overall I really enjoyed writing this and I missed Ashtray so this really helped :) Also, the reader is half Latina (bc it is based on me and my dream) she's also the oldest daughter of Suze Howard making her Lexi and Cassie's older sister. The reader and Fez are both about 19 in this. Also, this doesn't follow canon even a little.

Summary: it's mother's day and Ash just wants to show his mama some love

Ash and Fez watched as the girl walked out of the bathroom and into the kitchen, listening to her talk on the phone.

“Yeah, mom, I’m gonna get ready, and then I’ll come over and we can like spend the day together or some shit. And the girls are coming too right? Awesome, yeah I’ll see you soon, bye mama, love you too”

Once Y/n put her phone down on the counter, Ashtray stood up from his seat at the small table. Making his way to the sink.

“Hey, Y/n can I ask you a question?” Ash asked, getting both Y/n and Fezco’s attention.

“Course, what's up, sweets?” The sweet smile on Y/n’s face was enough for Ash to back out of the question he had.

“Nevermind, it’s stupid,”

“Didn’t you declare me the queen of stupid questions? Let me hear it, Ash,”

“I was just wondering if maybe we could hang out some today, ya know like before you go to dinner with your sisters and mom,” Ash had a hesitant look in his eyes and it didn’t go away when Fezco responded.

“Ash, it’s mother’s day, bro, Y/n got plans,”

“I know it’s mother’s day, I just was wondering because you’re kinda like the only mom I ever had and shit, but it's cool if you can’t” Ash dropped the plastic bowl in the sink, ready to walk away from this whole interaction and act like it didn’t happen to begin with.

“Ash, you mean that? Like for real? You want to celebrate mother’s day with me?”

Ash and Y/n had just met a little over a year ago when she and Fezco first started dating.

For obvious reasons Ashtray was extremely on guard around Y/n, that was until one night when she was over waiting for Fezco to come home from the store and Ash had gotten home first, having to study for a test he had coming up. Ash walked in on Y/n dancing around the kitchen with music blasting through the speaker she had set up for Ash and Fez, in Fezco’s sweater while she waited for the cookies she was baking to be done. And when Ash made his presence known,

“Uh, Y/n?”

All she did was turn around and smile at the boy before asking,

“You want cookies? I’m making cookies! Homemade even! They might be shit but we’ll find out in like five minutes!”

That’s when he knew he didn’t really have to worry about her ruining anything for him and his older brother.

Just 30 minutes after that, Ash and Y/n had been sitting at the table eating the homemade cookies while she tried to help Ash with his history homework.

“I don’t remember freshman history being so fucking hard,”

“I don’t understand why I gotta write a whole paper on this old white dude,”

“Nobody does, babe, that’s just how shit is,”

The nonchalant use of the pet name ‘babe’ stuck around after that. Others worked their way in, ‘sweets’ ‘lover’ ‘mi amor’

A few weeks after that is when Ash first started referring to Y/n as ‘ma’

Something Fezco called her often, but when Ash called her ‘ma’ it was different.

Even if Ash didn’t clarify it, all three of them knew what he meant.

Occasionally if Fez would ask where Y/n was Ash would respond with something like ‘Mom’s in the bathroom,’ or if Ash wanted to know if Y/n was coming over that day, he’d ask ‘Is ma coming over tonight?’

Fez and Y/n never pushed the boy to talk about it, they both decided it was best to just let it be and act normal about it, knowing how Ash can get weird if he’s asked to talk about his feelings.

Instead, Y/n showed him she knew what he meant with actions.

Scratching his head whenever he laid his head in her lap the same way she had done to Fez, cooking him his favorite meals, baking with him, even going out of her way to almost baby him when he and Fez got back from a particularly rough night.

Y/n wasn’t stupid, she knew that there were plenty of things Ash could never experience because in some ways he never really got to be a kid, but she also knew what it was like to not be treated like a kid when she really needed it.

Y/n had taken on a pretty big role in her sisters’ lives when their dad ditched, basically losing the rest of her own childhood in the process.

And while Y/n never once compared the two childhoods, she did try and make it so Ash still at least had a present, loving, mother figure to be there for him when he needed her.

Ashtray would never admit it, not in front of Fezco at least, but he always needed it, hell, he even helped Fezco work up enough courage to ask her to move in.

Y/n was ecstatic, to say the least.

And when she did get all her stuff moved in, somehow she managed to make their house feel even more like a home to Ash than before.

Some nights Ash and Y/n would sit in Ashtray’s room until the early hours of the morning (or late hours of the night if you ask Ashtray) and they’d just talk.

Talk about work, family, their lives, what happened that day.

Even when Faye first started living with them, Y/n helped Ash to feel more comfortable about the random woman sitting on his couch.

Ashtray adored and loved Y/n in a way he hadn’t felt about Fez, growing up with Fez as his big brother.

Y/n was his mom.

“I mean, yeah, but like just a few hours, you don’t gotta cancel your plans or nothin’”

The smile on Y/n’s lips convinced Ashtray not to go to his room just yet.

“Baby, I’d love that, do you have anything planned?”

“Well, no,” Y/n cut Ash off before he could explain why. Not needing an explanation.

“That’s okay! I’m gonna go get ready and call my mom, I’ll have to rearrange a few things but that’s okay!” Ash put his hands on the girl’s shoulders to stop her from leaving the room.

“Wait, I have something for you,”

Fez and Y/n watched as the boy walked away to go get something from his room.

Y/n looked behind her, looking at the redhead who had been watching from afar while eating his cereal. Fez sent her a soft smile, seeing how excited she was.

Ash came back less than 2 minutes later with a little pink box with a red ribbon wrapped around it.

“Here, open this,”

Y/n looked at Ash watching him nod, confirming the words he had just said so that she’d open it.

Inside the small box was a dainty gold necklace that had the word ‘Ash’ on it, matching the necklace Fez had given her for their 1 year anniversary that had a small gold ‘F’ on it.

The little necklace had Y/n fighting back tears.

“Well, now you gotta put it on me,” Y/n’s words caused Ash to laugh before he took back the box and took out the necklace before carefully putting it around Y/n’s neck.

“Thank you, mi amor,” Y/n brought the boy into a hug, and Ash immediately responded, laying his head on her shoulder.

“I love you,” Y/n wasn’t expecting a response, Ash never told her he loved her in front of Fez but this time she heard him whisper “I love you too, mama,” just loud enough for her to hear.

Pillow forts and arguments - platonic ashtray x reader, fezco x reader

Warnings: Pure angst for a bit, you and Fez are dating but are on a break, season 2 spoilers, you and Ash are super close.

Whenever you and Fezco decided to go on a break you thought who would be more upset, you or Fez, never in a hundred years would you think that Ashtray would be the one losing his fucking mind over it. Alas Fez called you, panicked and not knowing what to do “I don’t know what the fuck happened…I was chillin in the livin room and he fuckin started breakin shit” fez explained, you could hear Ash in the back ground. It broke your heart, you grew up with Ashtray, you helped raise the kid along side Fez and their grandma, taking the role of his mother or older sister figure.

“I’ll be over it in a minute, just make sure he doesn’t hurt himself breaking things, I’ll text you when I’m there love you!” You rushed out hanging up the phone, it had been two weeks since you had really spoke with Fez, you both agreed after a fight you both needed space, and so far it was nice, not that you didn’t miss Fez, you just enjoyed the time to yourself. Your mind raced a mile a minute, worried about Ash, you had been texting him a few moments before and he was perfectly fine, what happened? Stopping your bike in front of Fezco’s house you knocked rapidly biting your nail, the door opened and you saw Fez, his face was painted with hurt, muffled screams and clashes from Ashtray’s room followed “I don’t know what the fuck happened…everytime I ask what happened he just screams at me so loud I can’t fuckin understand” he mumbled shoving his hands in his pockets. You cupping his cheek smiling at him, this is why Fezco loved you, you were that burst of pure sunshine in his life "I'll talk to him okay?.."

Nodding a bit at Fez you walked past him glancing at the blonde in confusion keeping eye contact as you walked past her and to Ash’s door knocking lightly “Fez I fucking swear to!-“ Ash went silent seeing you on the other side of the door after he swung it open ready to cuss his brother out again for trying to get into his business. “Can I come in to talk with you?” You asked looking at him, Ashtray had very little self control not to tell you to fuck off and to just leave and let him down like you did before, but he didn’t, he found himself hugging you tightly once you had sat yourself on his bed. You smiled a bit knowing you always had this effect on either of the boys, no matter how big and tough they thought they were, get them alone in the room with you and they’re the sweetest most respectful men you’ll ever meet. “Fez said you just started breaking stuff….what’s goin on bub?..” you asked softly rubbing his back determined to find out what’s making your adopted son so upset.

“You can’t fuckin tell Fez…I don’t want him thinkin I’m some little bitch or something…” Ash said slowly sitting up in his spot next to you on his bed “when have I ever told fez about our talks?..” you whispered to him looking at him smiling softly cupping his cheek “so you gonna talk to me or just keep giving more rules for you telling me what’s wrong?” You asked shaking his head with your hands before he pouted looking at you laying his head on your shoulder. “Are you and Fez gonna stay apart?…” You heard Ash whisper, you heart melted and broke, Ash was this upset over you and fez going on a break “well…I hope not…we don’t plan to..we plan to get back together..is that why you’re so upset?..” you asked taking notice to him playing with the rings on your fingers “I just…you’re like the only chick in my life that’s stable….I don’t wanna lose you…plus you helped raise him…you’re just as special as fez to me” Ash admitted, you took in a shaky breath tearing up, kissing Ashtray’s head “you are too sweet, my dear” you whispered hugging him tightly, After a good minute long hug you pulled away looking at him “I promise…fez and I will get back together, maybe not right this moment...but we still love each other the same.." You whispered rubbing Ashtray's back frowning "You've been saying that shit for weeks!" He yelled jerking up looking at you, his mood shifting again "Ashtray.." You whispered looking at him, that's when you noticed, Ashtray had smoked a blunt earlier, he was probably stoned and trying to fix his anxieties.

"Stop lying to me!" He yelled, you looked at him grabbing his chin "okay, starters. you do not raise your voice at me, I may have upset you but you do not talk to me like you are" You snapped before standing up "Now. Just because Fez and I aren't together right now doesn't mean I'm gonna disappear or stop coming around, You are still like my baby brother and I am not gonna leave you behind" You whispered hugging him tightly "He brought another girl here to stay.." He whispered, you raised your eyebrows at him "Who? Blondie in the dining room?" You smiled looking at him, he looked up at you frowning with a soft nod "Oh my god...Ash..if you woulda' talked to me..or fez..you would've known, Faye is staying here yes, but Fez is doin it as a favor, trust me" You whispered, you saw Ashtray's cheeks heat up with embarrassment. "Don't...tell Fez" Ash whispered hugging you again "Just don't want the dumbass to make the mistake of losin you" you heard him mumble, you just nodded and lead him out of the room and to the living room.

You sent Fez to the store for snacks while you set up a pillow fort in Ashtray's room, sometimes Ash felt like you were the only one who was still worried about him doing kid things. He just stood in the doorway watching you put it all together and turn the movie onto the tv. Climbing into the pillow/blanket fort, followed by Ash and then eventually Fez. The three of you laid together watching the Halloween movies, almost like magic you watched as Fez fell asleep and then Ash, Fezco's head resting on your shoulder, and Ash using Fez as his personal pillow, sprawled out across his side of the bed making you giggle. Looking over you sighed, kissing their foreheads and covering them both up with a cover, after a mental battle that lasted about two minutes you curled up next to Fez falling asleep next to him, finally feeling at home after two weeks.

Description: After a rough day you find out your kids have been causing mischeif with the Sully kids leading to you having to take over their training as well

Y/N POV

As Ronal finishes dinner for the night the kids run in arguing, a sigh falls from my lips as I try and prepare myself for whatever it is they are disagreeing about. I set the knife I was sharpening down and look at them "and whats the issue?"

Ronal sets the food down on our small table while Ao'nung starts "Tsireya has a crush on the forest boy and-" he's cut off by Tsireya smacking the back of his head "I do not!"

I clench my jaw but patiently wait for their bickering to stop, after a few minutes and a stressed out look from my mate I stand up "enough! speak one at a time. Tsireya, you first"

Ao'nung rolls his eyes but stops talking as Tsireya looks at me "I was just talking with Lo'ak after our lessons and Ao'nung came over and started making fun of him. After a while of them arguing back and forth Lo'ak punched him-"

Ronal quickly cuts her off "i'm sorry what?"

I sigh and walk over resting my hand on her back "let her finish my love"

Tsireya huffs but continues "He punched him because he kept calling Kiri a freak and was also making fun of him!"

My gaze shifts from my daughter to my son who's standing there staring at the ground "that true?'

He mumbles a quiet yes while avoiding eye contact, I pinch the bridge of my nose while Ronal shakes her head while getting some pastes to help his bruises

I look at Tsireya and nod with a small smile on my face, she smiles back and sits down to start eating

After Ao'nung finishes getting his bruises helped he walks over and takes his spot at the table next to me and across from Tsireya who sits next to Ronal

I say without looking up from the table "I'll help your sister train them" I shake my head when I hear Ao'nung let out a small "thank Eywa"

I look at him "but your apologizing-" he groans making me shake my head "your apologizing, there is no reason to disrespect them."

He scoffs and looks at me "why are you so adamant on protecting them? they are freaks! they have five fingers dad! demon blood runs through their veins!"

Ronal smacks the table "ao'nung! enough!"

He shakes his head and looks at her "no! and you- what's up with you hm? you trail behind dad like a baby- like someones gonna take them from you! since they've shown up you've both been acting so weird!"

She stares at Ao'nung shocked, he's never disrespected her let alone yelled at her

Tsireya watches with wide eyes as Ronal stands up and storms off to our room

I sigh and speak up "I know them...Obviously-" i gesture to my body that's the same shade of blue as the Sully's "I'm Omatikaya"

Ao'nung scoffs sitting back in his chair while crossing his arms "so what? some old friends of yours show up from the past and mom is just insecure"

I snap "enough! do not disrespect my mate like that do you understand?"

He stares at me shocked for a second before slowly nodding "sorry..."

I huff nodding and continue on with what I was saying "they weren't just friends...well Neytiri wasnt.." Both of my kids watch me confused "Before Jake showed up me an- me and Neytiri were in a relationship..we were together four years before he showed up, she fell in love with him...and I caught them together so I broke up with her and that's when I came here and met your mom" I smile at the memory of meeting Ronal for the first time

Tsireya stares at me for a second "so...that's why mom is acting weird?"

I nod setting my hand on Ao'nungs shoulder "yup..and you mister have to now not only apologize to the Sully's but also to your mother"

He sighs but nods and starts eating

-TIME SKIP NEXT DAY-

Y/N POV

I wake up early that morning and roll over to wrap my arms around Ronal just to find her spot cold, my eyes snap open and I sit up looking around to see our room empty

I stand up stretching and walk out and to the main area of our mauri, I walk up behind her wrapping my arms around her waist and resting my hands on her stomach "good morning ma'yawne"

A frown overtakes my face when she moves out of my arms and mumbles out a "goodmorning"

"you okay..?" she nods and grabs her small bag and leaves after kissing my cheek

I watch her confused but get dressed anyways and head to the Sully's mauri

When I walk in everyone looks over at me, Neytiri nudges the boys who stand up and walk over to me with bowed heads

Lo'ak starts "i'm sorry for starting a fight with your son"

Neteyam nods and continues "it wont happen again we promise"

That's when I realize they think i'm here to get onto them about the fight with Ao'nung, another realization comes over me that my son didn't come apologize last night like I told him to.

I look between both of the very nervous boys "did Ao'nung not come and apologize last night?"

They look at each other and then their parents, Jake stands up and walks over to me "he didn't...but my son was the one who started the fight. he should be the one to apologize"

I shake my head no with a small chuckle "no..he deserved it. he had no right calling your kids freaks"

Jake stares at me confused "wait...why are you here?"

"I'm going to be helping my daughter with the lesson's so I came to get them"

He lets out a sigh of relief and nods "okay...all four of you- off you go"

I smile at the kids and start walking to the beach smiling as the kids talk amongst themselves

-DURING LESSON-

I watch as the kids play around with eachother and Tsireya, the oldest...Neteyam? more like Neytiri made over. I've noticed how almost everything he does and says reminds me of her.

Kiri..there is something about her that's special..sweet kid, that's what she is...grumpy, but sweet

Lo'ak? Nah Jake Jr. I may have only known Jake for 3 months but I was very close to him in those months and I can confidently say that he is Jake made over. Nothing wrong with that..I guess...

And little Tuk..the sweetest little girl i've ever met. Definitely remind's me of Neytiri when we were younger. I smile as Tsireya takes her on a ride on her Ilu.

I feel someone sit down next to me and I look over to see Ronal, she lays her head on my shoulder while letting out a deep sigh

I smile and wrap my arm around her "you okay?" she nods closing her eyes

I kiss the top of her head and go back to watching the kids, the kids i've know for an hour but have somehow made themselves a place in my heart...yeah...those kids are special...
