You start reading fics -> you run out of fics to read -> you write fics -> you don’t have any more ideas -> you cry -> you read a 250k fic for a ship you don’t really ship (but don’t really hate) just because it had a specific and niche tag you crave

Some people got confused on the newer electives at our school, so I’ve complied a list for you!! ^^

Strange Gotham University electives

Gothams Vigilantes and Villains: A crash course into both the protecters and destroyers of Gotham! It focuses on many topics including origins, first sightings, changes throughout the year (appearance otherwise), Suit designs, relationships with other hero’s and villains, etc

Batty gadgets and tech: A mini-course for engineering students looking into the schematics of Batman’s gadgets.

Villainous formulas: A mini-course for chemistry students analyzing things like Joker venom, Fear gas, and Banes venom.

Ivy botany: A unit in Botany class where we study the unique biology of Ivys plants as well as her pollens/spores.

Villain phycology: A unit in physcoanalysis where we look at what we know about the villians of Gotham and determine what went wrong in their lives and what we could’ve done to make them better.

V&V costume design: A mini-unit in cosmetics class where we look at the different suits used over the year and determine their effectiveness vs style.

And finally my personal favorite, Batfamily Conspiracy: It’s more of a club then a class, but a bunch of us get together every week and look at the facts and theories to try and figure out the identity’s of the Bafamily (and the Joker sometimes). The running theory is that Joker is Batman’s (who we believe is either Jim Gordon or a close relative of him) ex lover who took to a life of crime after being rejected and let down harshly by the man.

I need twins where one of them is a time traveler and the other is immortal. Similar to the normal prompt, except instead of helping the other, they have like a hate-love relationship. They’re not trying to kill each other. More like the immortal is trying to get rich and powerful, but the time traveler keeps sabotaging him and the time traveler is just trying to live a normal life, but the immortal keeps dragging them into their mess. Or something like that, idk

Percy Jackson prompt: Estelle is a demigod. While Sally and Paul were trying to have another kid, they discover Sally can’t have any more kids. So they decide to adopt. Estelle is a newborn when they adopt her, so they have no idea she is a demigod. While raising her, they notice some things, like the ADHD and Dyslexia. As soon as they find that out, Sally gets extremely scared, hoping that Estelle isn’t a demigod. She calls Chiron and takes Estelle to camp, seeing if she can pass through the border. She can. Sally and Paul are extremely scared, and they don’t know what to do. They start sending her to camp for the holidays, often with Percy. She grows up wondering who her godly parent is. A lot of people assume it’s Poseidon, since she and Percy are siblings, though most people don’t know they aren’t biologically related. Eventually, on her 13th birthday, she gets claimed.

Okay, strap in. I took Sinns fic and maybe a bit of my crossover fic of her fic and the BAU and made another fic that's set in the future, where Logan graduates medical school and starts working at the Chiacgo Med hospital. I know its a bit complicated, but oh well.

Anyway, you definitely have to read Sinns fic to understand any of this, as it's literally a fanfic of her fic. Chicago Med knowledge is not really needed at the moment, I'll update this if that changes though. It's a hospital drama that's all you need to know.

I know we all love the god/deity Nico. But just consider. Nico mistaken as a god.

Why? Because srsly, just imagine it.

You’re a new camper. You’re 8,9,10,11—idk, and your siblings are giving you a tour around Camp. You guys reach the Big House, and there’s Chiron, Mr.D, and then him.

This kid - not so much older than you’re - who wears all back, a sword by his hip, a distinctly powerful around him, sitting at the same table with Dionysus and Chiron. They have been talking when you arrived. He greets you with a silent nod.

Later that day, you see him again at lunch/ dinner. Still sitting with Dionysus. His plate is empty. They talk through out the meal. Perhaps he doesn’t need to eat.

You notice he has a private house all for himself, not so close to other cabins. Maybe he doesn’t like others trespassing in his place.

He’s also the quiet and reserved type, you figure.

He doesn’t talk much. But when he speaks, everyone listens. Whatever he has to say is usually impactful.

He usually sits with the goddess Hestia during the campfire. Rarely someone joins them. Will Solace does sometimes, probably bc the guy’s friendly with just everyone.

You see him in the Arena. His power is absolutely terrifying. Like. God-tier.

You take note of the fact he sometimes leaves Camp for days on a mission or an errand. Something about ghosts and Underworld. As far as you know, no one else in camp does that kind of task. And you absolutely didn’t expect the Underworld to be so easily in and out of. Not for a demigod, at least, because even the mighty Percy Jackson dislikes going there.

He talks about Cerberus and the Furies and Charon and calls Hades “dad”. He must be a chthonic deity. That explains his attire.

And the name di Angelo. It certainly sounds someone to take souls to the afterlife. The name Nico should be the equivalent of Apollo’s Lester.

When another god, Apollo - or Lester, comes visit. You see how the Olympian playfully jokes around and laughs with the Kid. In response, the Kid acts completely relaxed around him, despite not being one of Apollo’s children, whereas you’re there being like Omg it’s a God!. You figure that’s how fellow gods treat each other.

Nico di Angelo must be a God, right?

Können wir mal darüber reden, dass Adam fucking wütend auf seine Mutter für den Vergleich mit seinem Vater ist und dennoch schafft er es diese Wut runterzuschlucken (während er auf Entzug ist!) und ihr zu sagen, dass er sie trotzdem lieb hat. Also wir sind uns ja alle einig, dass Adam für Leo zurückgekommen ist, aber seine Mutter ist ihm ganz offensichtlich ja nicht egal und er hasst sie auch nicht. Was ja auch Sinn ergibt, weil Beziehungen nunmal kompliziert und vielschichtig sind.

LOUDER FOR THE PEOPLE IN THE BACK!

But honestly that's so true. "Don't like, don't read" is like the basis of fanfiction, and that should expand to not hating on people who do like it. However I do feel like recently (in the past few years) since Fandom has become much more mainstream, people treat it more like Netflix, instead of the home cooked meal it once was. Like someone put their time and effort into making this, because they wanted to, and people hate on it like the newest netflix show.

Like Sinn said, you don't always have to add your own opinion, because at the end of the day, no one really cares.

My TikTok FYP is filled by F1 content creators reacting to the AO3 Wrapped, particularly to the presence of Lestappen and Landoscar. I’ll never understand why some feel compelled to comment on a space that clearly isn’t meant for them.

It’s perfectly fine not to understand, but there’s no need to belittle others for finding joy in it. RPF has existed for decades and isn’t going anywhere. It’s purely fiction, and while there has been recent discourse around the blurred lines between reality and fiction, those concerns reflect only a small fraction of the fandom.

At the end of the day, fandom spaces are meant to foster creativity and connection. If you can’t engage with them respectfully, perhaps it’s best to simply scroll past and let people enjoy what they love in peace. You don’t always have to add your two cents.
