I wasn’t going to reblog, but it was too cute to ignore. I love this film, and Frollo’s stupid hat.
gross old people
I love seeing all the idiots in one room…
Also, short Emilie superiority!*
*edit: I meant supremacy. Got the wrong a word there…
I too think he deserves a kwagatama
I love this art, and I love the new album! So gorgeous! I love the line work. It looks so similar to the official art in the cd books.
Peacefield took me a second, but it’s fine because so did Lachryma- and I love that song so much! So Peacefield until Satanized is great, but the next two are kind of hit or miss for me. Cenotaph until the end is incredible and fabulous. I knew I would adore ‘marks of the evil one’ just from the title😂. I am so excited for my cd to arrive!
happy skeleta day 💜
I miss these two…
You know what I can't stop thinking about?
How long did Hawkmoth intend on leaving his face in her palm? Like, she obviously pulled away first. GABE, HOW LONG WERE YOU PLANNING ON SOAKING IN THE LOVING WARMTH OF HER TOUCH !?
Sometimes I like to tell myself that he was surprised at how fast she pulled away.
When we look at it frame by frame:
You can clearly see that he
a) has his eyes closed the whole time. An indicator of being in the moment and sternly concentrating on it
b) even though Mayura is pulling away and forces him to loosen his hold on her, his head remains in the same position
(Don't get me started on how he continues to hold her even though she signalled that she could stand on her own. And her hand above his heart better be some serious foreshadowing)
Nathalie, darling, I love you. But do you even know what chance you might have missed there!? He MELTED into you! Unconsciously starved of physical attention and you pull away so soon 🙃
Great art! I love how dramatic and cartoony it is.
Listen, I know Mayura hasn’t been on screen in years, and that Nathalie deserves better than Gabriel, but I can’t deny how great of a villain duo they were! I don’t even ship Gabriel and Nathalie anymore, but Hawkmoth and Mayura will always hold a special place in my heart. Mayura was hands down my favourite character in the show, and I loved seeing her get to be evil alongside Hawkmoth. She was so cool! And way smarter than Gabriel - she got closer to winning in a few episodes than he ever did. Anyway, I have a soft spot for early miraculous, mainly because I grew up watching it. I could write an essay about how Hawkmoth was better - and more enjoyable - before he became melded with Gabriel (it’s so weird how the villains seem to act and speak differently once transformed - Nathalie is a lot more affectionate, for one)
Anyway, great art, love it. Keep it up!
That one Archie trend, but this is partners in crime
My thoughts exactly! I’m always so embarrassed when people ask me what my favourite anime / manga series is, because of the associations with the fan base. I don’t even bother saying it these days, I just go with Death Note, Kamisama Kiss, or My Hero Academia - although these ALSO have associations that aren’t great…
I feel like a fake fan because I still can’t tell them apart… I’m sure that if I dedicate any actual effort to learning who each one is, I’ll be right as rain, but so far I have no clue.
Keeping this for future reference.
Some people had questions for the new era about how to tell the ghouls apart. So I made a handy flow chart! I hope this helps (:
A Different spin on an older idea (included below the cut).
The last chapter gave me thoughts about Copia's character arc, in so far as the chapters have character arcs. He seems to be going more villainous.
Anyway I finished a thing. Not entirely happy with it but I've been really struggling with art block as of late so getting anything done feels like an achievement!
I need people to stop making Primo nice. The dude is unhinged and evil and terrible and THAT'S WHY I LOVE HIM.
Any smut involving the man should include him killing the other person like a preying mantis.
His first suggestion to his brothers when they come to him for advice is to sell their soul to the Devil even further to make the issue go away. The next suggestion is murder.
He eats nosey reporters who stray too close to the Ministry. He hunts people for sport.
The reason Imperator had him specifically killed was NOT because she was worried about him getting up in arms about Copia's assention, it was because they were running out of cover-up money for his numerous crimes
Nihil should be baffled as to how he produced such offspring.
Hello? Is anyone out here? Can anyone here me? Where is my crazy evil old man?
The purple ones must stick together.
obsessed with the fact that skeletour's setlist has EIGHT meliora's songs
I was already interested in this post, but once I saw Primo with the hearse, I knew I had to reblog.
As for the puns, all I can think of is:
‘four Secon-door’
‘Toyota Prim-us’ (as in Prius)
‘four wheel drive can go up a Ni-hill’.
‘Check the sees-pension on these cars’
They’re a bit wordy, admittedly, but I never claimed to be clever.
*Bonus*
‘Perpetua-l fear of crashing’
did you guys know that i like cars ? so here's the papas as cars .
i think about this a lot more than i should. but anyway. yeah. cars :3
i spent 12 hours doing this yesterday from 2pm to 2am. im unstoppable
UPDATE: sister :3
Cowbell ghoul!?! I was literally joking this morning about brining them back! Success.
Monstrance clock, my beloved!
I’m so excited for the new album!!! And I can’t wait to see more videos and photos on the instagram. I can’t wait to see Perry smile more!🖤🖤🖤
Freaking out about the Skeletour show in Glasgow
Peacefield is a Banger
The new stage is phenomenal, it just keeps getting BIGGER. first the curtain with giant rips in then the new stage with stone plinths for the ghouls and lights everywhere including under the drum riser. Then the stony walls fell down to reveal the usual stained glass windows and then the stone archways fell down and nearly took out Mountain. Then it was revealed that it was actually a massive LED screen
I got so excited that they were playing Majesty that I didn't immediately notice he was FUCKING FLYING. My sister was like omg flying and I was like omg Majesty and then we were both like OMG HIS MAJESTY
I started noticing the double kick drum during Ritual and after. I don't know enough about drums to say what was different it just was more idk
We were in the gods so we couldn't fully appreciate the GIANT MOVING truss grucifix of moving lights but she's a work of art. We could see the labels in the trucks as we left and they had a whole truck just for floor lights (the under drum riser lights are gorgeous) and they had at least 3 more for lights. No idea how to pack a giant moving rus
Lost my shit when they started playing Umbra I've been waiting fucking months to hear more than the opening bars!! I cannot wait to hear it again properly (it's only 9 days not that I'm counting)
Fucking cowbell ghoul is back for Umbra did not see that coming
Monstrance Clock is back too I didn't see that coming either and I'm so happy!!!! And the little smirk he did when he got to say "conclusively, I give you Monstrance Clock" for the second time in years, knowing we were about to lose our collective shit, was yet another wonder of no mask papa
We got sad about it ending and he was "you can go out and tell everyone about the amazing time that you had. Or at least you can tell everyone about the amazing time that I had"
He got his I/we/they/him mixed up which is always funny like "back at the assembly where we, no they, well I suppose I'm part of it now so we, and I thought, no they thought-"
He name dropped The Cathouse but didn't know if it was still running and then was like "I know a lot about the past, but I don't know much about the future" and then straight into The Future is a Foreign Land. Musical theatre levels of speech into song and he said "this is a song my dad used to sing to me" and they changed it to 2034 (I had wondered if they were going to change it to 2025 and have a new rhyme but that works)
There was a delay letting people in and my theatre brain wants to know what technical issue stopped them opening the house?? Was he stuck in the air?? Was the moving grucifix of moving lights refusing to move?? Did the LED screen decide not today satan ??
This is so cool. I love seeing fanart for sitcoms, it’s great - especially older ones.
Reblogging for Richmond being dramatic in the background. He is everything I want to be as a goth. Fabulous.
POV you're a PC getting turned off and on again (speedpaint)
*sobbing* He’s so gorgeous! Just beautiful😭
OH HES FUCKING SMILING IM SO COOKED.
God it’s such a uniquely Ghost fan experience to be excited to see your frontman’s lips move for the first time.
can't wait to see him cry
hey when you make posts, i just want you to know, thou/thee/thy/thine/ye are like he/you(object)/your/yours/you(subject) okay? "thou art wearing shoes," "i will wear shoes for thee," okay?
you say thine if the next word starts with a vowel and thy if the next word starts with a consonant and they both mean "your" so "thine own shoes," "thy shoes," okay?
and ye means you and refers to the subject of a sentence, "ye members of the brotherhood of shoes," okay? you need this information to create better knight yaoi. i'm personally more interested in nun yuri but we are a community
Saw this in a Facebook group and my first thought was
“Did…did Mildred type this? 👁👄👁”
ratched spoilers //
the show gave me a comp het storyline in a character played by someone over 45 which is my biggest weakness. if i think too hard about it i have to go and have a nap or get hysterical
who do you have waiting for you at home nurse ratched? 😳
It must be said that the Nurse Ratched of the ‘75 film had some villainous tendencies. She was condescending, unfair and used her patients as an excuse to keep things the way she liked them. She was on a power high, and most certainly had a sense of superiority. While her treatment of her patients was not quite abuse, medical abuse - especially that committed by nurses - is not acceptable and should not be ignored.
That said, her treatment of McMurphy was entirely justified, at least in my mind. McMurphy - who was known to not be mentally ill - was a misogynist and an arse, who never once respected any of the nurses (even before she gave him any reason to dislike her). I believe him to be entirely unsympathetic. This warped my watching experience, and caused me to actually enjoy when Mildred belittled him. A story that should have been the uplifting tale of disabled men rising up against their domineering nurse is watered down by how unlikable it’s protagonist is.
Just finished Ratched 2020, and I’m conflicted. I loved it for the most part, but Mildred was clearly a completely different character to that of the film.
So yes, Mildred Ratched is, most certainly, a villain. She just isn’t as bad as Michael Myers or Count Dracula or Hannibal Lecter, but she is a villain. The manner in which she is viewed by the original audience presents her actions as worse than they are, focusing on the more trivial - such as her emasculating of McMurphy - over her heinous manipulations of her actually disabled patients.
Once again, the patriarchy would present Mildred Ratched as a bitch, and a liar, rather than the cunning, selfish, horrible person that she is, and the depth that comes with it.
Hot Take: Mildred Ratched is not a villain. She’s just a woman in a predominantly male field prescribing to the accepted medical practices at the time. It was the treatments and McMurphy’s (Jack Nicholson) reckless endangerment of other patients that were the problem, not her.
Yes! Yes! I totally agree with this hot take 100% Especially in Milos’ version he mentioned how it would be more “evil” or “disturbing” if Ratched didn’t think that she was in the wrong, that she truly and wholly believed that what she was doing was intentional to help them. She was most certainly is a woman (a woman with immense status) working in a male dominated feild, running a male dominated ward. She certainly had to leave her own opinions, ideas, and parts of herself at the door on the Outside. She wants to make sure that her authority and station will not be questioned hence why she is seen as mechanical, stoic, and “evil”
She’s most certainly not that, perhaps, even with my own interpretation, Mildred Ratched might be inclined to keep some people under her control out of a sense of superiority but ultimately that superiority is acceptable as she is a successful woman (and when during the book and movie being published or premiered) there was the second wave feminist movement. Something I’m positive that Mildred would pay close attention too.
I often feel as though I am the only one who enjoyed the Dark Swan arc. Perhaps this is because I am a goth, and thus much prefer when characters ‘go goth’ (or really, just wear black and have cool hair), as opposed to their normal look…
Not saying that I dislike regular Emma - I love her so much - but her little ten episode goth phase was very nice.
Also, she was so dramatic! Her entrance at Granny’s was very reminiscent of 30s black and white horror film villains - very Bela Lugosi with the lighting. Or perhaps Morticia Addams, seeing as it was in colour…

Undertaker Reveal Take Two 4/?
Bonus:
Being a grandpa theory diehard is all about walking the fine line between Yana's same face syndrome and Francis actually looking like Undertaker
Misthaven's #1 fashion designer
I loved the plushia flower arrangement - I need to get my hands on one of those things…
Lesbianism and polyamory in my Disney show? Yes please. I also need more of Maleficent with her hair down / out.
That scene between Regina and Mal in her castle was was more gay than it had any right to be…
Honestly, as tropey and lazy as this season is, this arc is so fun because it’s basically mean (lesbian) women making fun of Rumpelstiltskin to his face. I also adore the scenes in which he is talking to a woman who is taller than him - the fact that Anna was taller makes my day. Can you tell that I love the fact that he’s short? It kind of validates me as a short fellow myself.
the queens of darkness arc is a lot more entertaining if you view it in the perspective that they used to be couples who went on double dates but now they've both broken up and have to spend time together for work.
Yes
the difference between rumplestiltskin and literally all the other dark ones is so funny to me. like. rumplestiltskin as the dark one is this campy, flamboyant, giggling, mischievous imp of a guy, who traded the dark one's typical ominous dark robe for skin-tight leather, thigh high boots, and a magical blowout. was he like that before he became the dark one? no. not at all. were any of the previous dark ones like that? also no. were either of the two dark ones after him like that? again, no. there's no actual real given reason for why he behaves like that. he just does. and i adore him for it
