Dioscorea elephantipes chugging along! I’m going to need to buy it a new trellis - it’s filled this one and looking for more climbing space.
It seems like there's more positivity on Tumblr than other platforms (*cough*Twitter*cough*). Like, you can say "I love you, bestie." without anyone calling you corny or childish.
Y'know what? Reblog this to let your besties know you love them.

Trying to channel aziraphale
Hi, I find Aziraphale is the perfect epitome for a person like me. Could you give some tips for us, the fans of the blog, to be able to look more like Aziraphale. Manners, ethics and etc.?
Hiya! :) For me the one of the essential 'Aziraphalness' I really like is how he - despite being an anxious mess when dealing with hiss bosses and co-workers - is enjoying all the little enjoyments in life like food, books, music, theatre... And more, he even shouldn't enjoy them because he's an angel but he does, he loves cakes and sushi, he visits Albert Hall and musicals, he collects books and regency silver snuffboxes and he takes such joy in doing that! His face that light's up during Hamlet or remembering the crepes ❤. Furthermore, Aziraphale is and optimist, he belives in good in people (though healthily, his years on Earth taught him to be also sceptic and sarcastic) especially in Crowley, a demon that no other his coworker would. Aziraphale even if he is anxious and worried he soldiers on, he does deal with his coworkers and when needed stands up to them. He is polite. When he finds something he really likes he sticks with it - like his coat or his same haircut no matter what other people thinks, he is comfortable with himself :).
Those are my impressions of Aziraphale :), I think a lot of us would benefit to be more like Aziraphale in a way that we would enjoy more the small things in life or be more comfortable with ourselves :). Of course, this is just my impression :). You can find different qualities within him that speak more to you ❤.

Whilst I can't help with understanding ferns I can offer you a picture of magnified fern spores that look like little bugs
it is with horror and delight i can inform you that these are not the spores themselves but rather several round clusters (called sori, or one sorus) of sporangium (which are the things that individually look like little bugs) which look like that because they each hold the spores in a little packet sealed like a cursed wet uncrustable whos water-filled edges gradually dry on exposure to air, causing them to shrink until the tension rips the packet open and pulls them back into a tense straight line, at which point said edge cells have lost so much water that air comes flooding in and the uncrustable slams back together and the spores go flying like a catapult
heres a video with soothing music in the background to help counteract the fact that in action they actually do look like uncomfortably writhing bugs.
and yeah. they just kind of get away with that every day

“magic isnt real” — plants just grow out of the ground. for free. everywhere.
And yet we love her anyway 🥰

My little tribute to Techno. It's taken me months to make. Picked up a little art board sometime last year and just started sketching away, planning each little detail for days at a time. Each little symbol hidden in the vines is a nod to his friends or notable events, like the golden bell in his hand representing the sellout timer. Or the potatoes for the war with squid kid. I think he'd be proud of it. I don't know if it'll ever be finished, there's so many other things that could be added to it. I'll probably be working on it up until I decide where to send it off to. But I hope it does him justice. I hope it honors his memory. Kings used to get elaborate manuscripts created to record their lives, so why shouldn't he? Again, not sure when or if it'll ever be finished. But it's here, I guess.
