The concept of soul mates is a very interesting idea to think about. Recently I had the thought about a fantasy soul mate system. If in a world, instead of one innate partner already chosen from birth, a soul mate exists for you dependent on your ever evolving soul. As a teenager your soul mate might be your best friend as you have the most compatible souls.
However, as your soul has large changes or evolutions, your soul mate would also change. Sometimes you might not have a soul mate because you are not ready to have another or no one fits you as well as you fit you in that moment.
And I think that's beatiful.
What's that poem about the cockroach and the moth where the cockroach is like "I wish I've ever wanted anything the way that moth wanted to burn itself up in that lantern" because we had to read that in high school and it still fucks me up to this day

So instead, poison them.
Hating is taking poison and waiting for someone else to die... that will only hurt me... not the person I hate.
we really devolved as a society when we stopped using fully painted pictures on romance novels and started using cheap photoshop insteadÂ

Scalding hot take apparently: if a demographic says “I don’t feel safe in the cisgendered heterosexual society, I need space in the LGBT community” and you say “I’m sorry, you’re not oppressed enough, get out” you’re a fucking asshole.
Keep seeing that post where OP starts like 'Thinking about...grieving the undead' and then adds on about like. Real life situations where people have not died but have left your life and you would have reason to grieve them.
All respect, that's an important concept, but that is not what I am thinking about when I read 'grieving the undead'.
