Crowley Gets A Call For Roadside Assistance. Someone Has Broken Down. Have They, Really?

Crowley gets a call for roadside assistance. Someone has broken down. Have they, really?

A short and silly fic, inspired by the inestimable poet Harauld Hughes (i.e. Richard Ayoade).

Revolution by tea. Or one hot chocolate at a time.

Aziraphale was such a little bastard (/affectionate) for giving Jim hot cocoa to drink when he knew his old boss's opinion on sullying the temple of his body with "gross matter."

He did the same thing with Muriel, offered them tea knowing what they probably thought of it and then amiably watched them to see what they would do with it.

He's gone rogue, people. He's corrupting Heaven one politely offered hot beverage at a time.

Title: The Thorougly Engrossing Novel. Panel one: Our hero (a pinkish egg-shaped blob with stick arms and legs) briskly walks along reading his book but - OH NO! - he is just about to walk of a cliff! Panel Two: He has gone over the cliff!! As he falls towards heaven-knows-what, his attention is still fully engaged by his book. Panels Three and Four: he has landed in the ocean and is carried out to sea. He is still reading the book as he vanishes from sight. Panels Five and Six: Some time later, our hero is washed up in a sandy cove. The tide gently nudges him up the beach as lies on his back reading. A concerned passer-by asks "Are you ok?" and he replies "Yes, just finishing my book". Panel seven: The book finished, he strides manfully off the beach and up a hill towards a bookshop. Panel eight: Our hero, having visited the shop, now briskly walks along reading his NEW book but - OH NO! - he is just about to walk of a cliff!

A very complicated flow chart that always results in the suggestion that you buy a book unless you steadfastly refuse in which case it gets in a huff.

Too hard to pick a favourite. I dive into his books when I want to visit my friends there depending on my mood.

I savour every reread. There is always a layer more to discover. More kindness and understanding wrapped in wonderfully weird fantasy stories. Another joke to chortle at.

Looking forward to enjoying many more years of reading Terry Pratchett.
