Does anybody else wonder what Guigsy is up to? The man spoke a total of maybe 3 sentences in the whole public history of Oasis only to vanish like some ghost from the face of the earth.

My own theory (yes, this blog is about speculation) is that he had chronic anxiety that he was self-medicating with weed. Past a certain point he may have had to stop taking weed, either because Noel wanted the band to be sober for recordings when he stopped taking drugs himself, or because Guigs may have developed health issues with age. Noel himself had stopped smoking weed during their coked-out heydays because of low blood pressure. Bonehead was practically an alcoholic during his last years of Oasis. Guigs actually left for a short while because he suffered from 'nervous exhaustion'.

In Getting High, there's a quote of Alan White of how shocked he was when he first met the band members to learn that they were his age because they looked so terrible and worn out. Keep in mind he joined before the recording of Morning Glory so their health had been visually declining extremely early on.

Noel admitted to his panic attacks and suffering a psychosis in which he actually thought he was going to die in the late 90s.

I wonder if Liam has had any drug/alcohol-related health issues. I personally don't think he's stopped taking coke completely. He's said that he doesn't do weed or drop acid anymore. I think if he'd stopped taking drugs completely he'd just say that without mentioning the specific drug he isn't taking. I'm surprised how none of them developed addiction tbh. I know that addiction issues have a lot to do with genes and personality, but also cocaine is said to be very addictive.
