Can you do a web about the crossing of foreign languages, like two people of different translations meeting and communicating despite the barrier? Just generally linguistics I suppose.

Since the deluge of SKAM remakes have started, I have had to keep track of a number of different sites/english translations/playlists/character names, so I’m condensing all the information I have into one post for ease of use as a resource.
If you’re totally new here, all of them are based off of the original Norwegian version. Skam = shame in Norwegian. There were 4 seasons. The show is centered around 5 girls at the beginning of high school. Each season focused on a different character and was presented from their perspective. Season 1: Eva. Season 2: Noora. Season 3: Isak. Season 4: Sana. One website was used to provide updates from the main character’s perspective with clips/social media posts/texts/chats.
If you want to watch the original translated into English go here (they also have full episodes of the remakes translated to english when available). This is the original Skam website.
As of the writing of this post, there are only confirmations of up to season 2 for any of the remakes. The main characters involved in those seasons are: Eva, Noora, Vilde, Chris and Sana: the girl squad. Jonas & Isak: Eva’s boyfriend & his friend. Ingrid, Sara: essentially rivals/ex-friends of Eva. William, Chris: “senior” boys.
Remakes are slated for France, Germany, Italy, Spain, the Netherlands & America. France, Germany & Italy have all started. Spain, the Netherlands and the America have not. We know production/casting on AmSkam (aka Skam Austin, Skam America) has started, but no other information has come out aside from the fact the original Norwegian team, including creator Julie Andem is behind it.
The currently releasing remakes are listed below in the order of their premiere. Please assume that official sites are geoblocked for the specific country.
Current as of 10 April 2018. I’ll try to keep this updated as more information is available.
It’s a bit lengthy so under the cut. (Please don’t steal this… it took awhile to make)
This YouTube channel uploads all the clips from all the remakes and generally they get English subtitles.
Started 6 February 2018. Season 1 ended, 4 April 2018. Season 2 started, 9 April 2018. Currently on season 2 focused on Manon. It is, minus a few french cultural adjustments, exactly like the original series with plot and script. Unlike the original, unfortunately, Skam France doesn’t have a centralized website with clips/social media/texts.

This stuff? Oh. Okay. I see. You think this has nothing to do with you. You go to your closet and you select, I don’t know, that lumpy blue sweater, for instance because you’re trying to tell the world that you take yourself too seriously to care about what you put on your back. But what you don’t know is that that sweater is not just blue, it’s not turquoise. It’s not lapis. It’s actually cerulean. And you’re also blithely unaware of the fact that in 2002, Oscar de la Renta did a collection of cerulean gowns. And then I think it was Yves Saint Laurent, wasn’t it who showed cerulean military jackets? I think we need a jacket here. And then cerulean quickly showed up in the collections of eight different designers. And then it, uh, filtered down through the department stores and then trickled on down into some tragic Casual Corner where you, no doubt, fished it out of some clearance bin. However, that blue represents millions of dollars and countless jobs and it’s sort of comical how you think that you’ve made a choice that exempts you from the fashion industry when, in fact, you’re wearing the sweater that was selected for you by the people in this room from a pile of stuff.
