Watched all 8 episodes of Our Flag Means Death yesterday. I really loved it. I'm such a sucker for historical shows. And you know, GAY PIRATES!!!!
Funny enough, I started watching because it trended on Tumblr.
And I totally ship Ed and Stede.
Can we please appreciate Odysseus being a silent stalker in the shadows, taking out suitors with his bow, not deigning to speak to them as he takes them out one by one
until some of them go "we have to strike him in the darkness too! we know the halls of this palace! the odds can be tilted!"
and Odysseus, built this palace with his very hands, has to step out of the shadows like "are you this fucking stupid"
Happy Birthday to the best demon king, Hua Cheng!
I love the Ghost City and I wanted to pay a tribute to it. All these demons and ghosts are safe with Hua Hua to take care of them :D
Honestly I loved Thor: Love and Thunder! I think Ragnorok is still my favorite but I still really enjoyed this one. I will say tho that I am so glad I stayed for all the extra credit scenes. Made me sob a little less at the end. 😂
"To the one who says I'm the one of his American dreams, and no matter what i would have done it wouldn't have mattered anyway, ain't no way I'm going to screw up now that I know what's at stake, here, at the park where we use to sit on children's swings, wearing, imaginary rings...but it's gonna be alright, I did my time"

Excerpts from the podcast Making Gay History, S04E07: Reed Erickson.
“He was really accepted in society, both for his relationships with women and his transition, which is really interesting when you think about the 1960s. There were very few people who could so openly and publicly transition, let alone maintain multiple marriages.”
“The influence of the Erickson Educational Foundation cannot be stressed enough. We today would not have trans health care, period, without the funding and the information provided by the Erickson Educational Foundation.”
“It was the first organisation in the world that actually provided support and information to trans people, both through its newsletters and publications as well as an in-person office where people could call or drop in to receive information.”
“Essentially, the framework that trans rights organisations use today in terms of collecting resources by area and distributing them to trans people in need, is based off the work of the Erickson Educational Foundation. So without that, the modern trans movement as we know it would not exist.”

In the second, he is posing shirtless, with his top surgery scars visible and obvious facial hair. In the third, he is posing with his wife Ailene and their daughter, in the late 1960s. END ID.]
Trans history involves a fabric of people across generations and cultures. Many trans stories have been erased, particularly trans male contributions, in favour of the myth that Stonewall rioting was the single galvanising event responsible for all progress.
Remember:
Stonewall was vitally important, but LGBT+ activism existed before then, too. To think otherwise is to erase the hard work done by the full spectrum of LGBT+ people.
Erasing trans male history further isolates modern-day trans men, and perpetuates the myth that we have never been involved with our own communities. Erasing cis gay and lesbian history perpetuates the myth that our communities have never overlapped, or acted as allies to one another. If you’re passionate about Stonewall, for example, I suggest you educate yourself about Stormé DeLarverie, AKA “the gay community’s Rosa Parks”. She instigated the uprising.
I AM SO HAPPY AND PROUD OF HIM!!!!
omg!!!
Started reading Buddie fics and I think I am obsessed.
Started watching 911 on FOX and I'm hooked. Currently on S02Ep09 "Hen Begins" and watching Hen's first interactions with the previous Captain have me 🤬.
I've been rewatching The Umbrella Academy and honestly their whole soundtrack is just beautiful. I keep adding songs to my playlists.
One of them – the good ones – dropped down and Ed made a small sound as his whole fucking leg was lifted from both thigh and solid ground and his fingers grabbed instinctively at Stede’s hair. And fucking hell, Stede didn’t help, smoothing his hand from ankle to thigh, folding Ed’s leg up to prop against his own upraised one. All it would take was an unexpected swell to take his balance from him and their fucking thighs would be sliding together, nothing but silk between them.
And Stede just smiled up at him as if this was what he did every day. “To get around the knee,” he explained, brushing the long floppy shirt to fall between Ed’s legs out of the way.
