This fandom is insane.
...Except for Silco:
Gold looks great on my skin. It's nice when paired with black. I'm Indian. I hv seen a lot of gold jewellery and it only looks good if the white is sparing (like diamonds) and rose gold is so pretty. Gold is good for darker settings as a nice contrast.
hot take: gold is ugly actually
Pls take care of yourself 🥺. You lighten up the day of a lot of people.
I have trained my brain to take any form of criticism or insult without it affecting me at all
The mommy force is strong in this one. Jokes aside, beautiful art by the way, really encapsulates Syndra and the theme is a really good fit. Amazing use of colors.

I love this take and Shane and Ryan. Will miss them.
— Can I say? Can’t be doing that. — You know, obviously, but it is a thing of the times. — … You can’t be doing that. — I mean you see what I’m saying though, right?Â
Hard agreement
If you haven’t read the book yet, do not proceed. This post may be subject to criticism, but these are just my views.
ISN’T SHE BEAUTIFUL I LOVE HERÂ
Ariadne Bridgestock, or rather, Kamala Joshi, is one of the only Indian characters written about in TSC. We get to know that Kamala was adopted by the Inquisitor, Maurice Bridgestock, and his wife, when she was only seven as she’d been orphaned and the other family in the Mumbai(Bombay) Institute wouldn’t take her in due to bad blood between their families.Â
She had the potential to be a powerful Shadowhunter, with beauty as well as a kindhearted, gentle nature. Her adoptive parents loved her enough to nurture her talents and show her off, but they changed her name. They changed her name and refused to acknowledge her Indian heritage. In that case, they would never dream of accepting Kamala as a lesbian woman.
This was at a time when India was a colony of the British. Britishers had taken over the country from 1757, and had no love for the Indians. Indians were tortured and revolted for years, until finally India gained independence in 1947. Imagine being a young girl in British India, adopted by British shadowhunters with a powerful position in the Clave, but having your entire childhood wiped out just because of your nationality. Imagine being a closeted lesbian in the 19th-20th centuries, and adding the fear of being rejected by society to all the above. Kamala does not deserve a partner who does not understand why she cannot reveal her sexuality to her parents. Kamala does not deserve to have her childhood hidden, does not deserve to be afraid of society anymore.Â
Being a bisexual Indian myself, I have always admired her. If in Chain of Thorns, we do not see her speaking Hindi (for she must have learnt it in her childhood), wearing a saree or a salwar and telling her friends (I like to imagine her with Alastair, Eugenia and Grace in a friends group) about the things she remembers from India, I will take it personally. We see the Carstairs siblings embrace their Persian heritage proudly (even after Alastair suffered years of racism and bullying for it) and converse in Farsi – we MUST see Kamala embrace her Indian heritage as well. Cassandra must give Kamala the appreciation and respect which she deserves. Thank you for listening to my rant.
People are coming from Twitter or Tik Tok because they don't like that atmosphere. Or others (like me) don't like the ways of interaction there or find too much toxicity on those apps with no sense of humor to balance it and join Tumblr straightaway instead. I don't like making vids or posting pictures. I like being a bit weird and talking about my interests without being taken seriously and having fun in general and people appreciating that instead of trying to find about my real life.
I think the worst possible outcome of tumblr getting popular again would be twitter types registering complaints about being told to get devoured by swarms of ravenous bees over their lame opinions, and staff feeling an obligation to ban threats of violence or whatever.
About SOBH, when Clary was trekking to Alicante with Luke, Luke said Idris was a country and Alicante was the only city and was surrounded by agrarian lands. The Cohort can sustain themselves of those. Also people lived there. It's not like all the food was imported into Idris because that would cause a lot of financial problems. Simon got lots of snacks for his date with Isabelle from vendors in Alicante. They're literally selling food in Alicante (there's no guarantee that all the vendors are anti-Cohort and it's sensible to assume that they know where the food is coming from and they can supply it along with adding variety due to lessened competition)
The backgrounds are immaculate.
