College Single Ward Home Teaching

When I was a freshman in college and in the singles’ ward (not BYU), I was assigned to home teach an attractive co-ed. We hit it off quickly and developed more of a casual friendship. One night, she ended up at the house my roommates and I were renting. None of my roommates were home and the two of us ended up on the couch. With playfulness, I put my hand on her knee and slowly moved it up her jeans toward her upper inner thigh. She looked right at me and said, “If you’re not serious, you’re going to have to stop yourself because I’m not going to stop you.” I felt a bit of guilt and stopped. In hindsight, I wish I would have really ministered to her needs.
