I love how the framing device of Salamandastron is the storyteller pulling a toddler into his lap and saying "let me spin you a yarn" and then the story immediately starts with the villain murdering a husband and wife and leaving their orphaned babies to die in the cold. Like okay Dumble calm down he's two.

Hon Rosie: Listen, Tarquin is great and all but does he have a life plan? Thyme: Rosie, Tarquin doesn’t even have a day plan. I once found a note he wrote to himself that simply said ‘put on pants’ followed by a question mark.

Purely self indulgent character design for Marlfoxes (from Brian Jacques' Redwall novels)..... They're described as 'mottled' and I've never seen anyone show that!

all I can think about today is how bad I wanna see a sequel to Taggerung where he's older and him and Nimbalo work out their traumas together and unwittingly fall in love and also along the way there's an insane amount of violence because it's a Redwall story
