Jesus woke his disciples. The time had come. Judas led a mob to Jesus, singling him out with a kiss. The mob took Jesus to the father in law of the high priest, where they held an illegal trial. They knew they had nothing on Jesus. Finally, they convicted him of the slightest crime they could find: that he claimed to be the son of God. Once they’d tried him, they beat him. They hated Jesus for challenging their authority on so many occasions.
