I saw someone mention peepaw multiverse the other day and then this idea wormed itself into my head when I was at work - I thought it was hilarious but now that I’ve drawn it I feel so bad lmao I’M SO SORRY JHSADFG (also I’m not up to date with these three brilliant fics! I put all of my reading on hold when I started nqk, sob)

not currently relevant rant but i wanna clear out my drafts

the Lamba Squad hate is UNJUSTIFIED and quite frankly fills me with a rage I am unable to express very eloquently.

Emma needs opposition to her ideals for the story to continue and I have seen many essays from people smarter than me on how this could’ve been accomplished despite the rushed ending, but I still love this story and wouldn’t change anything that we got.

Some people dislike that Barbra and Cislo specifically were almost “dumbed down” to make Norman feel smarter but I don’t think that’s the case at all

in fact i love how childish and immature they are because it shows the difference in how Norman and the others handled trauma.

Norman saw his inner child as weak, not able to do what needed to be done, and an obstacle to overcome to become Minerva, the person he needed to become to change the world.

however Barbra and Cislo are unapologetically child-like compared to other characters and they are entirely justified in BEING CHILDREN.

It’s almost like they are so childishly happy and silly and bashful in spite of everything that’s been done to them because they still see being a child that survived as something to be proud of. Norman wants to seem like an adult because all his life adults have had power over him (see isabella, peter, ect.) even Minerva who had the power to help them was an adult. No matter how you look at it Norman saw being the child he was as a bad thing which is exactly why I love that Emma and Ray use that acceptance to get through to him.

i love that the theme is it’s okay to be a kid which is why Barbra and Cislo are almost static characters but they still fulfill their role so well in the story.

Big Mama is quite a high profile person so when four sons show up from seemingly nowhere people are bound to talk.

The spider traits clearly mark the brothers as her children but they also have a distinctly turtle-like appearance. So people think back with the approximated ages of these kids in mind and now there are two opposing camps; thoes who say Lou Jitsu was secretly a kappa who used a  cloaking broach to make it big in both the human world and hidden city alike, and thoes who are convinced there was an affairs and that being the reason Lou Jitsu and Big Mama broke up with the battle nexus champion leaving without a trace.

Ofcourse then CJ appears and when someone overhears him call Big Mama "grand-mama" the rumour mill and theories are once again in full swing.

Lol yes! this is great! A yokai rumor mill sounds hilarious lol! and there would be plenty for them to talk about with some theories more rediculous than others. Like maybe someone sees them around Draxum and starts a perposterous rumor that Big Mama and Lou had paid Draxum to clone some kids for them, but he messed it up and accidentally made them turtles hybrids instead and that's why Mama's pissed at him.

But even if she said that, this body they used to share was still belonging to “the other”. Those scars, those changes… it weren’t hers. Even if she tried to live a new life, she would end up only being the shadow of that old self, not just for herself but to others too.

HELPING HIM ACROSS THE POND AND HOLDING HIS CANE WHILE HE GETS DOWN THE LADDER???!!! They are so wholesome!!!

This moment is also very funny to me since Ray is never directly told Yuugo’s name I imagine during the two week walk back to the bunker Lucas accidentally slips and tells Ray (and apologizes cuz he assumed he wanted to be told like Emma) and Ray is just like

no

give me more blackmail against him

which i assume this scene came from Ray snitching

I know Ray and Yuugo parallels are more obvious but I would have loved for Lucas’s relationships with Emma and Ray to be expanded on as well since I don’t see it as much!

Rewatching the Dark Tournament saga, and feeling so much appreciation for Genkai and her arc. I just got to the part where she gives Yusuke her orb. In the discussion they have before it, she tells him she never thought of herself or her power as heroic and never needed that excuse to grow or become more powerful. It just was and it was hers and that was enough.

And add to that her whole juxtaposition with Toguro. She doesn't regret aging, she has embraced it - she has embraced her life's natural progression. And how hard it must have been for her to see the man she loved go down such a different path. Plus she deserves way more credit for not stomping everyone into the dirt for how they kept calling her ugly / whore / hag etc but I digress

Maybe it's just from getting older, but my appreciation and love for her just grows each time!

Begging y'all to not say 'It's a miracle' when someone stands up from a wheelchair or spends 30 minutes without their mobility aid—  I'm so fucking tired of being accused of faking pain, I've already been refused disability accomodations and can't bring my cane out during my work shifts because "you can walk around just fine without it" or "I saw you doing ___ yesterday!"

There's a spectrum of people who need mobility aids.  

Brought this up before in a non-ranty way, but just damn sometimes it gets a lot.  Just so damn much.    It's frustrating knowing that I end up worsening my own physical condition because others don't think I "really need the support."

Life is a journey, don’t be afraid to see where it takes you.

Sure! Oh, how about the exact reason Splinter thinks Mikey's talking to their ancestor!

I said it was a silly misunderstanding lol. (i think the conversation between Splints and Mikey gets sad after that though, at least for splinter. B/c at some point Mikey admits they're his age and turtles so Splinter assumes he's hanging out with the spirits of his brothers, who either aged as spirits or made themselves look that age so they could play with Mikey. That's part of the reason he never tries to stop Mikey from hanging out with them, b/c he doesn't think he should separate brothers like that, even if two of them are 'dead'.)

Also, bonus fun fact. Mikey's able to meet with them so regularly b/c splinter takes him and Raph out to the scrap yard every couple weeks. He lets them roam and explore b/c he figures they can't get into much trouble there since it's mostly abandoned and everything's already broken. So Mikey slips out of the scrap yard and to a nearby alleyway to hang out with the twins. and as long as he comes back when he hears splinter call for him, he's fine.
