Types of Witches Part 1
How and when to cleanse your tarot deck
It's very important, especially if you sell readings, to keep your deck nice and clean. Working with energy means that a part of it can always remain in the deck and come back later to affect your readings. Your deck deserves love and care 💖
🧚♀️ When 🧚♀️
After readings. I recommend this one for bigger readings or those that drained you out of energy. If you sell readings or do them for strangers, I would say after every reading.
If cards from the previous reading show up in the current one (more than one). This basically means there is energy left from the other reading and it can interfere with the outcome of the current spread.
When you buy a new deck. Anyone who touched it can leave their energetic imprint on it and even if that is not the case, cleansing the deck helps you start with a fresh energy.
If you are in a bad mood/state. I personally think every reader who practices tarot at least once in a while has a connection with the cards and your energy alone can impact the reading.
The readings are unclear/confusing. This can be the result of many mixed-up energies.
When you haven't used your deck in a while. Old energy that has to go!!
Someone else touches the deck. While this is good if you are reading for the person that did it, you can't let anyone else touch it. As mentioned above, energetic imprint.
🧚♀️ Ways/Methods 🧚♀️
Knock on the deck three times. I do this before every single reading as it's quite simple.
Shuffle while imagining the energy leaving the deck.
Put a crystal on top of it and leave it for a while. Crystals I recommend : black tourmaline, rose quartz, amethyst, clear quartz, smoky quartz.
Leave it in the moonlight throughout the night. I've seen a lot of people doing it on full moons which makes sense.
Pass it through candle/incence/sage smoke.
Put in the middle of a circle of salt and leave it there for a while.
You can also leave it in the sunlight as well.
Meditate with the intention of cleansing while having physical contact with the deck.
I've also seen people organizing their decks by suits. I personally don't do this but everyone has different ways of doing things so try whatever feels good to you!

Thank you for your replies! I'll keep the precautions in mind. Although I must say it's very intriguing how he doesn't know about his origins. And what does he think of the Christians and humans in general? What does an eternal being do for eternity? What does he look forward to? Thank you for answering again :)
He said after realizing he existed, he just sort of... existed for a long while. There was nothing except him and other higher beings but he was separate from them so he was lonely. He was lonely to the point that he made things and people.
"Life for me had no meaning until then. I did not bring meaning into their lives, it was the other way around. They brought meaning to mine", was what he said when I asked him
For the most part, he likes humans. Since for a long time he was alone, he's comforted by their existence. It doesn't mean he likes or supports their every action or everything that happens to them but for the most part, he tries to never intervene or interfere as much as possible. He can get disappointed but not to the point that he tries forcing a different outcome, he's done that twice and it has never ended well so he just doesn't anymore. Interference can only be done on a minor scale now, he says
He both likes and dislikes Christians but he doesn't want you to misunderstand what he means here. He likes that there are people who believe in him but he doesn't like when they twist or overuse his words. He likes that some Christians are very good people living by his words but he is also worried that if his word wasn't out there that they wouldn't be those types of people. On a core level, he likes Christians but he doesn't like it when people twist his words or follow his words like they're law. Basically tl;dr he's not a dictator (someone who dictates your entire life) and doesn't like it when Christians treat him as such & he doesn't like it when people use or twist some of his words, laws, or values to their own benefit. I paraphrased heavily but he thought Jesus was a cultural reset but we're going back in circles apparently 😀
He said that for him, for a very very long time, life had no meaning. He realized that if he was going to live forever then what was the point in wallowing in meaning nothing. He decided one day that if he was not born with meaning, if he was not made with a core meaning, he would make one himself. He looks forward to simply existing. Everything he does or sees is equally meaningful to him and he doesn't need one big major meaning to his very long life. He said he can't speak for other eternal beings but watching his children makes him happy. He sometimes interacts with them and his other creations.
"One would think I would've lost hope in my children or in my creations after the many many years I've seen them repeat and repeat again and again the things I have told them not to do and yet I never stop trying, neither do they. I find that in every year that a major event has taken a chunk of hope from me, there had been an equal amount of 'smaller' events that had restored it. I live and I choose to live with hope"
I hope you have a better understanding of the funky but equally wise man up in the heavens who has a really loud voice (He is surprisingly both nihilist and optimistic). And yeah, its definitely super interesting that he doesn't know about his origins. He was so confused to be asked a question that he just doesn't know the answer to
this is so interesting! thank you for answering!!
As a rule of thumb, deities will never do the following:
Dictate who you can/can't be friends with
Dictate which deities you're allowed/not allowed to venerate
Dictate who you can/can't be romantically involved with
Dictate your course in life
Threaten to leave if you can't/don't fulfill their requests
Ask you to stop taking your medications
Require you to observe a daily practice
Require you to spend tons of money on their behalf
Rush you into an oath, marriage, or some other binding contract
Prohibit you from doing certain activities
Withhold their affections if you do something they don't like
Shame you
Court minors (not in this day and age. Deities answer to the sensibilities of our time and society.)
If you see a deity act in any of these ways, you might be dealing with an impostor spirit or a mental sock-puppet, rather than the actual deity.
Impostors are petty spirits who disguise themselves as deities to mooch off undeserved worship.
Mental sock puppets are personal thoughts and insecurities projected onto an imaginary being.
And in instances where a deity is doing something you don't think is appropriate, you're always free to set boundaries. Gods don't get to act with impunity simply because they're gods.
Has your energy been low lately? Try this simple spell.
Cleanse your space and yourself then light a white candle.
Say this chant out loud:
Blow out your candle and repeat anytime you feel a loss of power, motivation or feel weak.
I don't see a bunch of writing about angel work in general, and what I do find is often heavily Christianized! I wanted to talk about what angel work can look like from a Jewish perspective.
(Gentiles may interact and enjoy, but understand that this is for educational purposes and not an invitation to appropriate! 🤍)
Judaism views angels in ways other traditions may not share! Some examples:
Angels aren't former humans. They are their own distinct beings just like demons, cows, land spirits and butterflies. People who pass away, even children, are not considered "angels returning home." These angels have specific forms and looks depending on the type, some more humanoid than others.
Angels don't have free will. This does not mean they are held hostage or can't have their own personalities, but their will is an extension of HaShem's Will, serving a specific role in making that Will manifest. Kind of like employees in a corporation doing their tasks!
They don't have names. Or at least, they don't have names we're supposed to know or ask for. They may be incomprehensible to humans, or maintaining a level of anonymity as to not distract from HaShem. Either way, asking for a name is often discouraged in traditional texts.
They AREN'T all here to help you. While it all serves a Divine Will and is therefore Good in the grand scheme of things, many angels serve completely neutral functions from a human perspective. Some could even be considered harmful to humans, the most prominent example being HaSatan. (Even still, HaSatan isn't seen as a true villain. He's just doing his job.)
Some of them are ONLY here to help you! Historical Rabbis were big on the concept of guardian angels. The Talmud says "Every blade of grass has its Angel that bends over it and whispers, 'Grow, grow.'" (Midrash Rabba, Bereshit 10:6.) Every living creature, including you, has a guardian angel to help you along your path. Some translations say the angels hit the grass, and that's not the only story of angels smacking things, so that guidance isn't always gentle, but it's always in the right direction.
Spirit guides. Like mentioned above, guardian angels can help encourage you to "Grow! Grow!" and keep you on a path in line with spiritual health and lovingkindness.
Communing with HaShem. Gd is extremely esoteric. Angels help us send and recieve messages in an easier-to-conceptualize way! Meditation and prayer can also play into this. Beyond every-day applications, angels can also appear unexpectedly with important messages.
Communicating with other spirits. As angels are often messengers, I also think it's helpful to call upon their aid when working with other spirits!
Working with angels of various functions. Modern day Rabbis often marry angelic theology with scientific phenomena, with angels overseeing the process. By that extent, we could ask those angels for help/guidance when relevant!
Protection. Psalm 91, often recited for protection, depicts HaShem commanding angels on your behalf to guard you in all ways. One bedtime prayer names the four archangels to surround us.
Shalom Aleichem is traditionally sung on Friday nights before Shabbat dinner. It invites angels of peace to basically come and hang out with us during shabbat, then to leave in peace once shabbat is over. Many arrangements also make a good lullaby.
Metatron (מֶטָטְרוֹן) is a specifically-Jewish angel who gets appropriated a lot in spiritual circles. He does not appear in the Tanakh, but is mentioned in the Talmud and largely fleshed out in kabbalistic literature! (Islamic literature does mention him by different name, ميططرون, Mitatrun/Mitatrush. Solidarity.)Lots of people recognize Lilith as closed, but the same attention hasn't been given to Metatron. He's a very complex and ambiguous figure worth a whole post of his own so I won't get into it here!
This post is by no means comprehensive! This is just a very "quick" overview of a very rich field of study.

Soulmates
xx This information is based on my personal experiences exploring the nature of the soul. xx
As vibrational energy, We send our unique frequencies into the universe; Souls find and follow frequencies similar to their own throughout lifetimes, all across the verse. These souls which travel the verse together are called Soulmates.
Soulmates cross our path to teach us valuable karmic lessons. They are considered soulmates because we have known them before in another time and place.
This means we meet them over and over again in many different incarnations throughout different eras and locations. When we end a relationship, or someone dear to us passes over, we will see them again at some time in another place because they are a soulmate.
Sometimes we make a new friend who we have not shared past life experience with. We can make brand new soulmate connections with souls we are unfamiliar with, this adds new zest to our soul journey.
We may encounter multiple types of soulmates in a single lifetime. Alternatively, you might not have or meet any one of them.
There are several types of soulmates
Twin Flame - Inae Ama
When a soul has only one Karmic lesson left to learn; that of unconditional love, the soul will split into two upon death-
Alternatively, a soul who has mastered their karmic lessons and is ready for ascension can choose to split their soul and incarnate as such.
Each of these flames will incarnate and go on to live their own lives. Throughout lifetimes the Twins will be drawn together; incarnating as every possible form of relationship, teaching one another unconditional love and helping each other to relearn the Karmic lessons they once knew.
Inae Ama also raise the vibrations of all souls they meet.
*Not every soul has or will have a Twin Flame.
Platonic Soulmate - Animea
The animea will manifest as your best friend and partner in crime! There’s a sense of effortlessness when you two meet. There’s no hesitation and you feel a sense of ease when you’re around. Animea exist in your path to make life more enjoyable.
Soul Family - Tribe
Members of a tribe all come from the same branch of consciousness and have similar life paths. The key aspect of a soul family is that our souls were created in the same dimension/planet and usually always incarnate together.
*Your blood family may be a part of your soul family but not always.
Karmic Soulmates
A Karmic soulmate is one who appears to balance karmic energies from former lifetimes; Typically they show up because there’s a mutual unlearned lesson or unsettled business. This karmic imbalance needs to be resolved before each of you can progress spiritually, and only the Karmic can help balance the karma. They serve a very important purpose: presenting challenges and conflicts in order to help you grow.
Karma is efficient and often triggered fast between two familiar souls who reunite in this present lifetime.
Karmic soulmates can have any kind of relationship from colleague, friend, to lover. Those who successfully balance the karma with their soulmate may drift apart, for the sole reason for the union has completed.
Guiding soulmates
Guides usually emerge after a defeating period in your life. They can appear in any form for a number of reasons, offering you comfort and helping to get you back on your path.
They may show up in your life to remind you of something you’ve forgotten about your own soul as they subconsciously bring back information from a past life in order to deepen your spirituality.
This type of soulmate is one who imparts a lesson through a difficult situation. When we need to learn a certain lesson (be it to have more courage, patience or love etc) our guide presents us with the opportunity to learn and grow.
Don’t forget that we too are the guiding souls of others.
*Guiding Soulmates are different from Spirit Guides.
New Soul
We can have significant encounters with souls who we have not traveled through time with over the millennia. They can be wholly unfamiliar souls with whom we have no prior spiritual contract, yet we meet them and become intrigued. This usually occurs when the new soul has karmic lessons which you will help them learn.
New soul connections may particularly happen if you have already completed all of your previous karma, yet are still on the physical plane.
An intense interest or mutual love can lead to awakening a whole new karmic energy withing the new soul. Many souls petitioned will agree to a rendezvous if you have useful lessons you can impart to that soul.
Companion Soulmate
Your companion soulmate is often described as The One! They’re said to be your perfect match in this lifetime. Usually they are a being with whom you share a soul contract; the being that your higher-self decided to unite with. The companion soulmate will offer you much joy, happiness and emotional depth. You will help each other along your path(s) with an open heart.
*The romantic soulmate can be a new soul or past life connection.
Every relationship, soulmate or not, still has it’s problems but you’ll be able to work through these things in harmony.
*Soul contracts are agreements we make with other souls before we are reborn on the physical plane. Souls we have contracts with will be those to bring deep changes into our lives through unique connection. These contracts are made with a special purpose: to teach us karmic lessons we’ve chosen to learn before reincarnation.
i hope you guys realise how blessed we are to be aware of our own power. i don’t care “how much” or “how little” you’ve consciously manifested so far, you know something most of the world doesn’t. truly i hope you’re all fully aware that this is isn’t just limited to us being teenagers manifesting beauty and love interests in our bedrooms scrolling through tumblr, this is going to carry you through your entire life. this goes beyond the screen. you’re literally already living somebody’s dream. how fucking lucky are we?
