You will need:
Four small bowls
Frankincense oil or tears
Myrrh oil or tears
Vervain oil or plant matter
Yarrow oil or plant matter
Salt
In four small bowls, in four corners of the house, place one tablespoon frankincense, one tablespoon myrrh, one tablespoon vervain, one tablespoon yarrow, and surround each bowl with a circle of salt.
Sitting in the center of the house, you then surround yourself with a circle of salt, and seek your own power. This is your home. It is your territory. You are the power of this place and it is your temple. It has meaning because it is yours. It is a home because you make it one.
Seek feelings of security, stability, and confidence within yourself, remembering your home as a place of safety and rest.
When those feelings are strong within you, cast a claiming and warding.
The claiming and warding I prefer is quite simple, “This house is mine. I have claimed it with frankincense, that there may be riches within it. I have claimed it with myrrh, that evil cannot enter here. I have claimed it with vervain, that it may be a sacred space, a temple for my earthly flesh. I claim it with yarrow, that only good health may enter here. This house is mine.”
But you use whatever warding affirmation you prefer.
Gather each ingredient from the four bowls and place them in a container of your choice. Place this somewhere in the home – the mantle of the fireplace, inside your chest of drawers, on your altar, etc. Gather the salt from the circles and scatter it around the outside of the house, reinforcing your warding, for example, saying: “This house is mine. This house is mine. This house is mine.”
Cautionary Note: If you are using pure essential oils rather than infused oils, please be careful touching them, as they can cause chemical burns.
2020 was the awakening of a new side of me.
2021 was me shoving down all individuality, shrinking for the comfort of others and then fleeing and beginning my recovery journey.
2022 I spent almost entirely alone. I gained new boundaries, I began allowing my true self to shine through and got new friends as a result. I learned So Much about the galaxy within this vessel, I was hard on myself and patient.
My suspicion is that 2022 was the year of seeing the first budding plants after I’ve laid the seeds down. 2023 is going to be the full harvest, the abundance that baffles in its enormity. And I’m ready. I’ll never be ready and I’ll never be as ready as I am.

simmer pots 🍎🍯

I merged a few recipes of these together. Swapped and changed some ingredients.
Orange
Lemon
Apple
Rosemary
Lavender
Star anise
Rose buds
Rose petals
Hibiscus
Bay leaves
Cinnamon
Moon water
Florida water
Kananga water
Used more of some ingredients than others, depending on the smell you want..
So I used more of the flowery smells.
Not too much of the florida and kananga as they are strong anyway.
I have bottled the water, once it cooled, and hoping it will work with my diffuser- it should do.

Made a teeny stash of black salt (witch's salt) specifically for mental health protection. Mostly used this method outlined by @eclectic-faith , tweaked for my purposes:
- Sea Salt - purification
- Charcoal - banishing
- Basil - peace, drives away evil
- Ginger - boosts the power of the other ingredients
- Incense Ash - specifically jasmine and amber incense ashes, for purification, comfort, happiness & healing
And all ingredients correspond to protection. Look out for my next post where this gets a practical application (along with the ingredients in the background!).

This spell is for multi-purposes but I wanted to make a spell to help nourish ourselves and help manifest determination! Although it is a smoothie recipe, everything has magical properties, and spells can be used for your body. It is important we balance our mind, body, and soul, otherwise we lack a sense of direction. Mercury retrograde will be ending soon, it has caused us to feel a lack of energy, and cloud our thoughts that life is just stagnant. This is not true! Instead of thinking of that you're having setbacks or let your anxieties take over, this is the time to meditate to get in touch with your higher self. Really communicate with your higher self to understand what it is that you need, what it is that you need to heal, how can you feel you're on the right path, and take the time to get to know the real you. The you that feels complete and fulfilled in all aspects. What will make you feel complete? Is it a dream, a goal, something that you desire, or want to achieve? Then affirm yourself, say it out loud! "I am successful!" "I will get through this!" "I have everything I need". Speak your manifestations into existence and trust in the universe to recieve it 🌌
I will be doing a version of this idea
Start by doing a grounding and protection ritual if it’s part of your practice.
Disclaimer: If you are going through grief and trauma I recommend seeking out professional help, this spread is just for guidance and is not meant to be used instead of professional help. Contact your health care provider to get the help you need. You don’t have to lay all of the cards if you don’t want/need answers to all of them.
Tarot Spread:
1. Card that represents my inner self. 2. Card that represents the deceased. 3. Card that represents our relation. 4. How is this trauma affecting me? 5. How can I find closure? 6. How will my life be when I have found closure? 7. Message from the deceased.

What is it?
War Water is a particularly powerful bit of magic stemming from American witchcraft traditions in the South. Contrary to popular belief, war water is not rooted in Hoodoo but in European-influenced folk magic practices. Due to this, debates about which is the most “authentic” recipe for war water are unproductive. Folk magic practices in the early parts of white American history were not well documented and the specifics of these practices were likely kept within close-knit family circles. The result is that spells such as this one have always had quite a bit of variation. This lack of homogenization leaves us with many traditional recipes for spells such as war water and most of them do contain the grain of authenticity that many modern witches crave in their practice.
Tools and Ingredients
2 large glass jars, preferably with glass lids and rubber gaskets.
Distilled white vinegar
Salt, roughly 1/2 of a cup
A railroad spike or iron nails
A carbon steel hunting knife, stripped of its furniture (handles, etc)
Water
Process
Charge each item individually with intent.
Place the iron in one jar. Fill it with water and set it to the side. If the iron already shows signs of rusting that can speed up the process.
Heat the vinegar to just about boiling. Add salt and dissolve.
Stir it clockwise with the knife.
It helps to let this breathe for at least the first 24-48 hours, and then to give them a day or two of air every now and then after. When rust starts to form and tinge the water, give the jars careful swirls just to keep the rust suspended in the water and new oxide layers forming constantly.
Eventually, your railroad spike water will turn muddy looking and the knife-vinegar solution will turn almost black and you will see little flakes of metal swimming around in there if you look closely.
After a year or so you will have some pretty good product and then you can combine the two liquids, refill the jars, and start another batch.
Now, to finish it off, you can add any number of ingredients to augment its power. Black and red pepper, mustard or poppy seeds, devil's snuff, or gunpowder are some examples. The best thing, however, is your own urine.
Tips, Tricks, and Uses
You want to make sure to have a glass lid on this one or to change lids often because this stuff WILL eat through a regular Mason jar lid in no time War Water is often used to place a curse. War Water is a traditional and allegedly potent weapon during psychic warfare and witch wars. It can be used to reverse a curse and send it back to where it came from. War Water is not intended for consumption, rusted nails should be handled with care. These are simple standard recipes, they can be personalized and adapted as necessary to give the water more kick. Should mold or bacteria ever form, discard everything, including the jar, and start again from scratch.
