Today Crowley and Aziraphale tried painting. They both woke up early to catch the sunrise, despite Crowley’s grumbling. Aziraphale’s painting was significantly nicer than Crowley’s, and yet it was not the one that ended up hanging in the hall.
This made me giggle and stim happily, ineffable husbands has been a thing for even before time. How much more of a perfect duo can we get, they both simp for each other so so much since the beginning. I can’t handle it Neil pls
GOOD OMENS (2019-)
2x01 - The Arrival
On an other note, for everyone being very hurt after s2, I’ll say something I usually say to myself when something like this happens;
Those are fictional characters, they don’t exist, which means that if you want you can ignore the last 10 minutes of s2 and replace it with a happy ending! Writers do this just like that 1/ sequel 2/ good plot 3/ getting emotions out of the viewers, dont be too sad, im sure season 3 will end well (RIGHT NEIL? Because if it doesn’t fucking end well I will be personally coming for you), their stories aren’t done just yet.
anyway I will be in a corner crying all the tears a human is physically able to make. I did not appreciate this cliffhanger, sorry.
Hey fellow good omens s2 watcher, how we doing?
Because I am not feeling fucking good
@neil-gaiman what the fuck
catch me monching on @chernozemm's cottage wives like an everlasting gobstopper
This one is a bit lazy
Day 4? Oh wow - weapon (list by @ Vanillacreame153, (alternating between two list don’t mind me))
Martin Blackwood, cool guy :)
aziraphale + text posts bonus:
I imagine that, while in heaven, aziraphale would “enter” the body of someone (like with madame Tracy in s1) in close proximity to Crowley just to get a glimpse of him and Crowley would immediately know (like he knew in season 1) and scream at aziraphale-as-someone-else to piss off and go back to his ‘archangel duties’ and aziraphale would go back to heaven, touch his lips lightly with tears forming in his eyes
The way Good Omens and OFMD have completely spoiled me rotten. Now, it's not that I actively choose not to watch shows with no representation nowadays. It's simply that my brain shuts down and I become bored like a school kid during geometry class. I physically can't watch shows or movies without at LEAST one non binary character. And don't get me started on the bland, emotionless, FORCED romance that so many heterosexual couples on screen have. If they don't trust and respect each other unconditionally, then I don't want it anywhere near my sight. Again, this is not a conscious effort on my part. My body, my mind, gets physically repulsed and disinclined to continue watching. Is there anyone else that feels like this, or do I just need to get out more?
I haven't looked into it, what's it about HD 186 302 that you like a lot?
We only have one example of how life formed. If we had even one other example, even if it was within our own solar system, it would vastly improve our understanding of how abiotic materials make the jump to biotic. But since we don’t have any other examples, all we have to go on is what we know about ourselves.
It comes down to the organic molecules which are the necessary building blocks for life as we know it. We’ve found them in protoplanetary disks— solar systems that haven’t finished forming.
An entire solar system forms together, all at about the same time, shortly after the star is born. For the most part, everything in a solar system will be made of roughly the same Stuff.
What this means is: the most likely place to find Earth-like life outside of our planet is within our own solar system.
It also means that second most likely place to find Earth-like life is in the solar system of our long-lost twin.
Recent studies have suggested that all stars are born in pairs. The vast majority of stars are actually binary systems, two stars orbiting around each other. Our solar system is an outlier. This doesn’t usually happen.
So…. where is our twin? Obviously, something happened and the stars got flung in wildly different directions. But a group of astronomers found 17,000 potential candidates, which they narrowed down to 55, and then to 4 stars that matched ours. And finally, HD 186302 was declared the most likely match. Unfortunately, we haven’t been able to detect any transits to see if it has planets yet…
….but the James Webb Telescope will be able to.
We’re still learning new things all the time, so it’s possible HD 186302 isn’t our solar sibling after all. Regardless, we have a solar twin out there somewhere, like another batch of cookies made from the same batter as ours.
The James Webb Telescope has me unreasonably excited for what amazing new discoveries we may potentially find.
