On february 29, 2020 the US signed a deal with the Taliban making an agreement for “bringing peace”. US allies agreed to have all American troops withdrawn by September 11, 2021. With around 3,000 troops remaining, Afghan cities are surrendered to the Taliban.

Cities including Kandahar, Herat, and now Mazar- e- Sharif. America’s 20 year plan to rebuild Afghanistan’s military had failed and now Afghanistan is falling into Taliban’s control. During those 20 years, many civilians have died and June marked the most deaths in Afghanistan during 2020.

Now, why would the Taliban taking over afghanistan be a problem? Because they are terrorists !! The Taliban were in control during the 1990s and late 2000s. Their policies completely took over women’s rights by making them fully cover in burqas, not allowing them to go to school, not being able to shop by themselves, always having to be accompanied by a male relative. Leaving Afghanistan to them will not only put Afghans lives in danger, but even others. Who knows what they will do, what they will plan. On top of all this is covid cases and increasing but that’s the least of Afghan citizens worries.

If the Taliban take over Kabul, a civil war might break out. So many lives will be lost, buildings destroyed, it’s only a matter of time. Please spread awareness and pray 🙏
