Handy guide to writing asexual characters:

1. Have them have friends! The lonely asexual story is getting really old.

2. Introverted asexuals are cool, but why not have extroverted asexuals?

3. Asexual and Aromantic are not the same thing. Try giving your character a sexless romance.

4. Or have them have sex, that’s cool too! Remember. Asexuality is the lack of sexual attraction, and does not mean the character is opposed to sex.

5. Asexuality varies. If you want your character to be a victim of sexual assault that’s fine, but don’t make this true about every asexual character. Some people don’t want sex and it has nothing to do with past sexual experiences.

6. No more sociopathic asexuals, okay?

7. Don’t paint your asexual character to be the essence of innocence. You can have your asexual swear. They can be rude, like to dance dirty, have crude humour, literally! Anything! Any! Other! Character! Can! Be!

8. Your ace character can be sex repulsed, but do not have that be the defining characteristic of your character. Give them personality.

9. Do not write an ace character just to have your protagonist *suffer* because they love them, but won’t satisfy them sexually. That’s gross.

10. If your whole point of having an asexual character is to have them meet “the one” and “cure” them of Asexuality, DO NOT WRITE AN ASEXUAL CHARACTER.

Eagle Aurora over Norway 

What’s that in the sky? An aurora. A large coronal mass ejection occurred on our Sun five days before this 2012 image was taken, throwing a cloud of fast moving electrons, protons, and ions toward the Earth. Although most of this cloud passed above the Earth, some of it impacted our Earth’s magnetosphere and resulted in spectacular auroras being seen at high northern latitudes. Featured here is a particularly photogenic auroral corona captured above Grotfjord, Norway. To some, this shimmering green glow of recombining atmospheric oxygen might appear as a large eagle, but feel free to share what it looks like to you. Although now past Solar Maximum, our Sun continues to show occasional activity creating impressive auroras on Earth visible only last week.

Well on my way into writing Chapter 4 of Save Yourself, I’ll Hold Them Back. It’s been a long time coming, but I’m now getting back into my swing.

I had some trouble with my mental health after moving, but I’m now getting into a routine, and I’m finally starting to write again, so hopefully some new stuff will be coming soon.

The Monsters They Made Us series.

Good news everyone. I’ve finally set up my DVD player, so I can start working on the third part of the series - called Save Yourself, I’ll Hold Them Back. If all goes to plan, I should hopefully have it finished in the next few weeks, have it typed up, and then have it up by about July. I know I promised this month in The Ghost of You, but things have been a bit hectic.

There will be 12 chapters... At least, that’s what I’ve planned. I have it written down in my notebook, with what will happen in each chapter, and the names of said chapters. I’ll update with progress if you want - like when chapters are finished, when I’ve typed/edited them, if you want. Some of the chapters are made up (most of C1, C7, and C10, while all of C2 and C8 are completely made up).

Part 4 of the series - currently named A Love Like War, but that may change - will take a little longer to come out. It really depends on how Endgame plays out, and where my characters go. I have a plan for the end of Part 4, but like I said, just depends on Endgame.

Just thought I’d give you guys and girls an update on the series, and just let other people know that I will be continuing with My Love For You, just got a bit of writers block for it.
