Stein exhaled smoke, looking at the dark sky. The clouds were slowly gathering over the academy, so it would probably rain soon. He wondered if there might be a tornado today.

Behind him he heard the sound of the entrance doors slamming. From the sound of the heels, he could guess that it was...

"Got another one by any chance?" Spirit asked, standing next to him.

Stein, without taking his eyes off the horizon, took out a pack of cigarettes from his pocket and silently handed it to Spirit.

Spirit silently took out one, lit it and put the pack into his jacket. Stein mentally grinned at this, but outwardly continued to stand without any word. It was most likely Spirit cigarettes in the first place.

They stood silently for about a minute as the clouds continued to slowly approach them. The air began to feel damper and only the wind creaked in their ears.

"Something big's coming, huh?" Spirit said with a smile, but without fun.

Stein gave in to temptation and looked back at him. His long hair was starting to get a little frizzy due to the humidity in the air, the bags under his eyes were more noticeable than usual under this gray lighting, and his gaze itself seemed to have already seen too much of... the world, perhaps. For a moment he ceased to be filled with his usual enthusiasm. He trusted Stein, and because of this, Stein wanted to squeeze him in his arms until Spirit stopped breathing.

He takes a drag.

“It has been coming for a long time now, pal,” Stein parodies Spirit’s manner of speaking.

Spirit doesn't answer or comment on this(but he noticed, god, he always notices).

continuing the idea i asked cannibal-nightmares about, i think spirit brings some life in stein's apartment too, but not like marie. instead of just like bringing his things and leaving them there(because stein would probably just throw them away) he kinda just. brings the mood. probably leaving doors open or moving things around or leaving dirt on the floor. although he definetly forgot one or two things, but i like to think that stein just kept them to himself so spirit thought that he lost this things on a street or something.

but anyway spirit would force(beg) stein to do some stupid things. like buy a normal soap so the guy could wash his hands properly. or something as unnecessary(because spirit why do you even need soap i have medical alcohol instead). and this is how steins home started to look more "normal" although surprisingly he doesn't really care about it

manga mc vs dorama mc

watched season 3 of dorama last night and after it read manga for the first time. the funniest and relaxing manga i've read since "tanaka-kun is always listless" and it's a shame that there's almost no fanarts. wanted to post my own even though i'd probably be ashamed of it in a year or so

I rly like how u draw Jimmy with squinting/narrowed eyes most of the time, idk if it's intentional but it really makes me feel like he's always analyzing everything and planning evil things lolol love ur work!! Keep it up!

inspired by @puppys-teeth post about prequel to soul eater, i've came up with some ideas

(warning: i am not a native speaker and too lazy to put this text into google translator so there will be mistakes)

the fact that stein tried to work with excalibur is just. so real. i can literally see it in canon as a flashback or something. when stein tried to work with that guy as some kind of experiment or just to became more powerful. and spirit being as sensitive as always would be really pissed with it and feeling forgotten and "what!? are you throwing me up like some broken pencil!? oh no you don't!!" and the rest of episode it's just him trying to make stein get annoyed with excalibur. and just when he gets along with the fact that "oh well. now i need a new meister." excalibur just casually says some shit and stein kicks him out. and he comes back to spirit like wsup what were you doing all day(he knows exactly what spirit was doing all day). and spirit being as forgiveable as always are like "oh y'know. normal stuff" and they're just going to the dinner together like nothing had happened.

also, spirit covering stein? gosh i love it. as if he thinks that if he's the older one it means he has to protect stein even if he's annoyed with that guy sometimes. sometimes really annoyed. and y'know what? if he hadn't justify stein one time, he deserved it. or couple times. but most of the times he was a good friend, i swear!

i imagine stein just asking him "why?" one time, and spirit's just changing the subject because he don't want to admit that he actually cares about this crazy little guy

and imagine spirit giving stein the last piece of cake as a cool older brother figure(he thinks) and after not receiving any "thank you" or "oh you shouldn't have" he gets angry and since then he never let stein have the last piece of anything

i still have so much thoughts about this little dudes you have no idea
