Ao3 is actually massively culturally important and very very good at being what it is. I’m so serious when I say that ao3 needs to be protected as the anti censorship, by fans for fans, nonprofit, volunteer run, expertly designed archival site that it is. Just wanted to pop in and say I have been noticing a lot of younger people say you are the one who has changed their minds on censorship and "problematic" content in fiction and I want to thank you for it.
It's becoming a huge issue in fandom spaces that people are morally judging others for fiction and it is scary to see, especially because a lot of the younger people are queer and are parroting the same rhetoric conservatives do about queer fiction. Having someone like you speaking out against it and standing by your convictions is an amazing help in stopping these communities from becoming depressing witch hunts for those who are deemed "freaks". And us freaks appreciate it a lot 💖

I was already kind of screwed over monetarily with my hours getting cut back to about half of what they were but it got worse. Tuesday (09/19/23) I got into an car accident while on my way to work.
While I walked away mostly unscathed I received a minor fracture on my right hand and my scooter (my primary transportation to work) is totally busted.
I only really need about $250 to make it cozily through this bill cycle without facing any late fees.
The fracture is unfortunately on my dominant hand so I can't comfortably offer commission or sketch requests until the splint is off unless you're fine with waiting.
