haymitch saying “I don’t drink” hahaha so funny I have a gun in my mouth
everyone should talk about how derange Lenore Dove is
girl is 16 and she already been arrested twice. and when she got questioned she wrote a SEVEN PAGE DOCUMENT about if would die give all of her things to her geese for her alibi.
She literally talked about breaking into the Donners home to get back pin her uncle made for Masyilee. Haymitch and Burdock had to stop her for actually doing it!!
My girl is so chaotic and i love her for it
I feel one thing Bridgerton does best are the costumes. Not only by making their take on the regency period but incorporating with the storylines. And since Polin is next in the show I should start with Penelope.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Color Meaning: It is a well known fact that Penelope's “tasteless and tackless” mama dresses all her daughters in bright citrus colors, believing that bright color will draw attention for suitors. Which is ironic in a way since the Featherington sisters, especially Penelope, are the wallflowers of the show. But in truth it helps Penelope with gathering gossip for the Lady Whistledown because yellow can be the color of deceit. Yellow is often associated with happiness and positivity so you wouldn’t think a person wearing yellow would have a secret. (It can also be a color of intellect and creativity which goes into Lady Whistledown again.)
Cowardness is also another interpretation of the color yellow, which in turn can be how Penelope doesn’t share her feelings to Colin. But if you notice during two seasons as Portia is less focused on Penelope (in season 1 during the Marina drama and season 2 during the cousin Jack drama), Penelope wears different colors a little bit more. Especially in season 2. And the color that she wears the most is pink. Which pink is obviously associated with love. Something that Penelope longs for. We also see for the first time in full green dress in season 2. Which is foreshadowing to Polin because yellow and the Bridgerton blue makes green.
Design Details: I also found it interesting that the two things Penelope wears the most on her dresses are butterflies and flowers. Butterflies are symbols of transformation which we now know in season 3 Penelope is going to have. I hope we see a lot more butterflies in season 3 since no longer Penelope is going to be the wallflower. I am not an expert on flowers or their meaning but I believe the flowers she wears the most are roses and daisies. Rose symbolizes love and passion and daisies represent happiness and a new beginning.

More flowing dress: If you notice in season 1 & 2 Daphne and Kate's dresses are very flowy and silky where Penlope’s dress is not. Some of her dresses look very stiff and bulky and give off a younger impression (especially since Hyacinth and even Eloise dresses look like they're made with the same matureal). Now in the upcoming season where Penelope is embracing her sexuality we should get more of those flowy dresses.
More Cooler Colors: Like I said before we really only have seen Penelope in those citrus colors which are very warm colors. Which I don’t think are the best on Nicola. Some of the dresses wash her out instead of complimenting her; which is the costume designer's intention. From some of the leaked photos of season 3 we see Penelope in more cooler colors, which look incredible on Nicola. Since the greens and blues are in the color palettes it should complement Nicola astoundingly.
Simpler Design: Just like the color some of Penelope's best outfits are ones that are so loud. When some of the gowns are heavily detailed your eyes are drawn to the design and it almost looks too extravagant on Nicola. Some of Penelope's best dresses are more simpler.

Anyway I hope this interests you! I really want to do Kate and Daphne/Bridgerton style vs other families of the ton. If you have any suggestion or question for me let me know.
Haymitch simultaneously being terrified of Snow while also fucking with him to his face is such a brilliant dynamic
it’s honestly so funny the yellowjackets complain about how crazy and weird lottie is but every time she does something crazy and weird they all immediately join in
Snow’s pathetic for a lot of reasons, but it really does shine through when he’s trying to convince Haymitch of the evils of the Covey girls and how they “make plans that don’t include you”, like?? bitch?? YOU were the one that planned to leave Lucy Gray in the middle of nowhere to go to officers’ school?? He really spent the last 40 years rewriting the narrative in his head
or how many reaping they had redo because the kids ran and they shot them? or what games the edited because of something rebellious? or change the narrative to look better for the captial? or erase tribute just because the can?
because of sotr we can’t take any information as fact because it could be edited. maybe Enobaria killing someone with her death wasn’t as viscous as we think. maybe annie didn’t actually go THAT mad during her games. maybe the morphings didnt just hide in their games and the captiol just hide it because they can.
I've got to wonder, how many attempted rebellions were there, did other tributes try and break the games, try to upthrow the capitol, were all their efforts erased
and btw nobody else has s4
Lenore Dove is so misunderstood and mischaracterized by the fandom it makes me sad to see.
She is not this manic, dream pixie girl. Her character very much shaped, flawed and real. Haymitch is able to oversee and ignore her “flaws” because he’s a 16 year old teenage boy who is madly in love with her, but it is not hard for us readers, to look between those lines and see how fleshed her character really is.
She is seen to act before thinking, making rash decisions which aren’t the best for her wellbeing. She is way too emotional, feels too many feelings and has too many thoughts and she doesn’t know how to articulate them into words because she’s an introvert and she fears her words being lost in translation.
She only reveals her unfiltered, (sometimes) dark thoughts to her loved ones, and often enough she does it by using metaphors so she can still backtrack incase she gets misunderstood because she still feels like her thoughts could be a burden to the people around her.
She is not a “Lucy Gray Rip-Off”.
Lucy Gray was a born performer. She loved to be on stage, she loved performing for her people and knew how to get the crowd on her side, how to keep them entertained.
Lenore Dove doesn’t sing in front of people. It makes her uncomfortable. She’s not a “Born Performer” nor does she know how to control a crowd, at least not in the way Lucy Gray did.
She’s a rebel. She’ll only use her voice when she realizes she absolutely HAS to. She’ll use it when she’s mad, and sad, and in despair.
She’ll go against the rules at any given time, especially when it comes to protecting her loved ones. She doesn’t realize nor care about any consequences at the time, she only acts because she’s in pain and wants to avenge her people.
She’s a sixteen year old girl who dreamt big in a world where dreaming was a luxury and not something many people can afford.
In spite of her dark, burdened thoughts, she had still kept her innocence and was able to dream of a world without the reaping, she had hopes that one day that dream could become a reality, no matter how crazy it sounded to others.
She also had dreams of growing up, having a loving family and living peacefully with her loved ones and her boy who she loved more than anyone and she was willing to die for him.
