next time someone invalidates your identity by saying “it’s just hormones,” ask them if they ever found themselves attracted to the opposite gender when they were going through puberty.

if they say “no,” then ask them “so how could it be ‘just hormones?’”

if they say “yes,” ask them if they still find themselves attracted to the opposite gender.

if they say “yes” in response to that, then say “you’re done with puberty, aren’t you? so how could it be 'just hormones?’”
