“I learned that just beneath the surface there’s another world, and still different worlds as you dig deeper. I knew it as a kid, but I couldn’t find the proof. It was just a feeling. There is goodness in blue skies and flowers, but another force - a wild pain and decay - also accompanies everything.”

I miss when movies were good (muppets movies)
I'm so fucking sick of young women having to reveal the terrible abuse that happened to them for all the world to see, to finally believe them. And then to turn around and see the only response is "oh no my favorite (whatever) is ruined!! I can't believe another man I idolized without knowing at all turned out to be a predator!! Woe is meeee!!!! How can I read/watch/listen to anything ever again!!!"
Girl shut the fuck up. Why is this about you and your feelings??? Why is it ALWAYS about you???? And then, why is it NEVER about you learning a fucking lesson, to stop idolizing men you DON'T KNOW??? The men you think you know- from their tweets, interviews, writings, what have you- ARE PERSONAS curated by these men and their PR teams to mass appeal to their targeted audience. Quit falling for the same shit over and over again, and acting surprised when it inevitably happens.
Also, if the first thought you think when yet another famous man turns out to be a fucking monster is "oh no, how will I be able to indulge in whatever he made in the past now?!?" you are a self centered piece of shit. Women are walking around branded as their victims for the rest of their lives, usually at the detriment to their career, and sometimes even their personal peace. They had to detail their trauma to some random journalist and had to provide "receipts" so y'all would even consider believing them. Many of them won't ever reveal these awful men that plague every aspect of society, let alone fame, because now women are getting sued left and right SUCCESSFULLY for daring to alert the public of these fucking parasites.
All these people and organizations are focusing solely on Gaiman, renouncing their past interactions with him and refusing to work with him in the future. I haven't seen one "these women were so brave to come out about their abuse", "we sincerely hope the victims are receiving adequate care to improve their healing journeys", or "we will be donating all further proceeds of (Gaiman property) to women's shelters." Still it's about THEM and THEIR reputations.
It's never about the victims. Ever.

Took this from Instagram because this is urgent US folks.
You need to call and email your reps no matter if you live in a red or blue state. This cannot be allowed to pass.

Why You Should Be Worried About America’s Declining Human Rights Ranking
When you think of human rights abuses, you might picture authoritarian regimes, not the United States. But according to a new report from CIVICUS (source), the U.S. is now officially categorized as a "narrowed" democracy—a status shared with countries where free speech, protests, and civil liberties are increasingly under attack. The U.S. joins the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Pakistan, Chile, Slovakia, and 37 other countries with "narrowed" civic freedoms. That’s the kind of company America is now keeping.
What Does This Mean for You?
Your Right to Protest Is Under Threat – Laws restricting peaceful demonstrations have been ramping up, making it easier for authorities to criminalize protests they don’t like.
Censorship and Press Freedom Are in Decline – Journalists covering protests or political corruption are facing more harassment, and state-level laws are making it harder to report the truth.
Targeting of Activists and Marginalized Groups – The crackdown on civil rights groups, LGBTQ+ organizations, and racial justice movements is accelerating.
Legal Attacks on Voting Rights – Gerrymandering, voter suppression, and efforts to limit ballot access are all symptoms of a democracy that’s backsliding fast.
What’s at Stake?
If the U.S. keeps trending in this direction, basic freedoms—like the ability to voice your opinion, challenge authority, or even vote—could become privileges instead of rights. Young people, activists, and minority communities will be the first to feel the impact, but make no mistake: this affects everyone who believes in a fair and free society.
The Bigger Picture
This is not just about one bad policy or one election cycle—it’s about a systematic shift toward authoritarianism. Through executive orders, Trump has sought to consolidate power in the executive branch, making it easier for him and his allies to monitor and control departments and agencies to ensure they are only carrying out Trump’s agenda. The more people accept restrictions on speech, protests, and voting, the easier it becomes for those in power to tighten their grip. This is how democracies die: not with a single dramatic event, but through a slow erosion of rights, one law at a time.
What Can You Do?
Stay Informed – Know what’s happening at the state and federal levels.
Speak Up – The more people push back, the harder it is for leaders to silence dissent.
Vote Like Democracy Depends on It – Because, frankly, it does.
The U.S. has long claimed to be a beacon of democracy. But that light is fading—and unless we fight for our rights, it could go out completely.
