you know it's bad when you try talking about how i gave harry a mental breakdown and made him die out of spiraling and you're friends can't tell if you're talking about him or your mental state
So one of the writers of GO is Neil Gaiman. Who, of course, did an excellent job and deserves all the credit he gets. But you know who cowrote Good Omens?
Terry Pratchett.
And you know what else Terry Pratchett wrote?
This is your sign to read discworld- a comedy fantasy series of 41 separate but interconnected books about everything from a wizard who can’t do magic to the invention if steam trains. If this interests you, read on!
Why you should read Discworld:
It has lots of the best bits of Good Omens. Like the footnotes? Discworld has plenty of those. Like the puns? It’s got those, too. Like the vivid, unique, compelling characters with plenty of room for fanfic? Yep, we have so many of those.
It has loads of content. 41 books! But don’t let that dissuade you, because there are separate storylines and standalone books that you can read without touching the others. You could read them all, too, if you’d like !
The books deal with big matters while staying lighthearted. Case in point: there’s a book about Death dressing up as Santa which deals with what it means to be human.
There’s something for everyone. Some of the books really feel like fantasy (coven of witches stops twisted cinderella story, guards save city from raging dragon), some feel like wacky adventures (invention of the movie industry goes Horribly Wrong, cat runs pied piper scam) and some barely feel like fantasy at all (girl dresses up as a boy to go to war, turns out she’s not the only one; ex-conman must revive postal service) but all of them have wonderful plots.
The prose is vivid and the dialogue is great, plus of course there’s the humour!
If this appeals to you, here’s a flowchart that might help you figure out where to start.
Happy reading!

My Opinion (Endgame Spoiler):
What if Captain Marvel had used the Infinity Stones? She does have the power of one of the infinity stones in her... I mean, with here abilities she wouldn’t die like Tony Stark. She also wouldn’t be as badly injured. She still might live and Tony still would live.
My hometown flooded Monday night.
Vermont has flooded.
My family and home are fine because the 7.8 inches of rain that fell in a day didn’t cause our house to slide of the ridge it sits on, but less than a thousand feet away roads have been washed out and homes are being condemned. Yesterday, our congressional delegation, the governor, and a FEMA representative, toured the town - focusing on the non-profit cat cafe turned hazardous waste site thanks to a basement full of red diesel fuel and the neighborhood that includes a ten story, low income, senior and disabled apartment building where the blacktop of the road lifted and peeled away in huge sheets. There is still only one route out of town to the interstate due to landslides and flooding. In every direction I can point to there are towns going through similar things. Our capitol, Montpelier, flooded causing most of the state government to shut down and move essential operations to a nearby airport. Many farms were in the path of flood waters and lost most of their crops. Vermont has the second largest population of unhoused people per capita, second to California, with many of them camping in the woods along our rivers. They have lost everything.
In short, we need help.
I gathered some resources if you need an updated news source or are able to donate.
It’s raining again.
I’ve also collected some photos of the flooding and it’s aftermath
It’s started raining again. We may get another two inches.
Please donate if you are able and share this post to help our brave little state.
would anybody like some eiffel expressions

Wowee, can't believe I've made it this far ^^; well, we're all here for the post. Today I wanted to share this. It's my first ever drawing of guybrush way back in 2021. During the quarantine I guess learning about games turned into loving games. The monkey island games were the first video games that I actually wanted to play for myself. I've learned a lot about the games from countless video essays and have fallen more and more in love as I kept playing.
I'm proud to know a really amazing game and see amazing things from it!! Im proud and happy I can give a little appreciation to a really cool series.

Hell yeah the US just gave like 8 billion dollars in funding to intercity passenger rail. Including some HIGH SPEED RAIL?!?!?!??
can't overstate how massive this is, i used to work in rail and US trains were so pitifully underfunded that my employer wouldn't even bid on those projects because it wasn't worth the time. This is actually putting us on the level of other countries that invest in transportation as a public service??? And 8 billion? Like this could actually really make some massive change.
