The Megop plushies are technically there to symbolize them being like "puppets" or "voodoo dolls" to the corruption of their society in a way.

They do have a story though, they were made when Megs and Optimus were still Orion Pax and Megatronus (d-16). It was to say "You'll always have me with you wherever you go" or something like that. Of course, they never expected to be pulled apart, especially cause of a war, lol.

And I think they're just nice to have ;)

tbh I think MegOp shippers are missing out when we headcanon that Optimus does not snore while he sleeps/charges.

I legit think it would be absolutely earth shatteringly hysterical if he did. He is a fucking truck. With a MASSIVE engine. You can't convince me that his snoring doesn't make the walls shake. he's also probably super self conscious about it.

Megatron however? Can't even imagine recharge without the gentle rumble of 1000 stampeding horses reverberating in his endoskull. He purrs and he sleeps through the noise while fully aware that because of it, nobody else can or will <3
