Meet me at the diner - Gabriel x m!reader

Content: MLM, sfw, smoking, mentions of mental health issues!!

It had been a long day of bullshit at work, ending in heading to one of the many diners littering the streets of your city. Each step felt like the world pushing you further into your own thoughts, until the shine of old florescent lighting of the diner filled your eyes.

Before entering you decided to stop and admire the city streets in front of you, how mundane yet beautiful th- "'Hey man, you got a smoke?" The man now in front of you had snapped you out of your thoughts, although his approach was so unexpectant, you barely recollected his question.

"Oh! Uhm.. yeah you can have one" mumbling whilst reaching in to your pocket and retrieving your beat-up pack of cigarettes, deciding to have one yourself. Just as you were about to offer the man a lighter, the loud flick of flint lit up the mans face like the sun, reviling his face to you fully. He had shoulder-length dark hair covered by a dark read beanie, and wide blue eyes that encapsulated your own. His lips formed into a shy grin, as he looked at you. "I'm Gabe.. What's uh your name..?" He said anxiously fidgeting with his lighter as he spoke, "Its Y/N, nice to meet you Gabe"

"You been in here before? I... uh used to come here with my dad a lot when I was a kid." he said in a slight stutter gesturing to the diner you both stood next to, before taking a long appreciative drag of his cigarette.

"There seems to be a lot of places like this round here, but I've never been inside" You noticed him lightly smirk, yet somehow keep his awkward attitude. "You wanna come inside with me..?" Gabe spoke softly, mentally begging you'd except his offer.

The loud jangle of a bell mounted above the door barely audible compared to the atmosphere of the bustling diner, yet it was soon ignored due to Gabe eagerly leading you towards one of the empty booths, whilst ordering you both a portion of hash and eggs. Once you had both sat down Gabriel began to act...off? He was either staring at you or at the ceiling fan whirring above you until you were both served your food. "Ketchup?" Gabriel broke the silence, holding the open bottle towards you, if there was even any left after the murder scene on his plate. "Uhm, no thanks I'm not a fan."

"Well opposites attract.. Don't they?"

-Ollie is an old soul, and this definitely shows when dating him. Late nights with Ollie would entail wine drunk ramblings about whatever jazz vinyl was playing from his record player, ending with you both stumbling to bed waking everyone else in the house.

-You & Ollie would 100% share clothes, especially because Ollie loves seeing you wearing his shirts and jumpers all the time. He finds it as a symbol of your love for him, aswell as showing everyone you were together.

-Ollie is definitely a picnic man, he'd love to take you out on the boat and sail until you both came across a spot you liked. Although this wouldn't always be the best plan since Nikolai's precious boat was known to stall, which has resulted in the both of you being stranded on the shore a few times in the past.

Jack Thurlowe

-Dating jack can be tough at times due to how he conveys his emotions.

-Jack gets alot of writers block, especially when he's struggling emotionally so he'll tend to come to you for help with his next article, even if you have no knowledge of current events he'd always seek your input.

-You always fall asleep first, no matter how tired Jack is he will force himself awake to watch over you. Once you're asleep he takes his time to reflect on his life, current or past, whilst smoking out of a nearby window.

-when Jack comes home from a long day at work all he wants to do is curl up with you in the living room watching your favourite old movies until you both fall asleep.

Gabriel ml <3

-I like to imagine Gabriel came across you at the diner, and after one conversation you were his new obsession.

-He'd be so gentle towards you all the time, but you always have to be aware of how quickly Gabes mental state can shift.

-Yet Gabriels most effective grounding method is definitely just holding you in his arms whilst you try to calm him, softly whispering praises into his ear.

-If you owned an apartment with a garden or some kind of outdoor space, he would appreciate your efforts to make it suit Gabriels smoking habits no matter if you did it aswell. He'd love if you smoked with him, seeing it as the perfect way to calm his nerves; with nicotine and his darling at his side.

-My fav lil weirdo 𝓔𝓭𝔀𝓪𝓻𝓭 𝓝𝔂𝓰𝓶𝓪, I'd happily write for the recent rendition of him by Dano but I prefer the previous version!!

-𝓪𝓼 𝔂𝓸𝓾 𝓪𝓻𝓮! Pretty much my fav film of all time and Id love to write more about the story and its characters....
