this is making me appreciate, and miss, how Checo understood very clearly the importance of not allowing POC drivers to be pit against each other. because white fans and F1 media froths at the mouth wanting them to fight one another and push each other out of the sport. They tried so hard to pit Yuki and Zhou against one another when they first got on the grid. That's one of the reasons why Checo was such a vocal supporter for drivers like Yuki and Franco, why he was such good friends with Lewis all these years and why he praises Zhou for the love and support he gets from his home country. It takes so much for a minority driver to get to this sport, why would they ruin it by picking fights with the few other minorities on the grid beside you when you could uplift one another. It supports the drivers and encourages their fans to also get along and support one another if the drivers clearly care about one another as people and friends. It displays the pointlessness of arguing and hurling vitriol every time two drivers have a track incident. And it leaves no room for the F1 media to try to push their agendas.
how can you be so bad you lose with refs and var…
- no pen for a clear tchouameni handball
- fermin goal annulled for handball (but we can’t get a pen?)
Flavio Briatore told a driver to crash on purpose. Read that again
Flavio Briatore told a driver to crash on purpose
There is no such thing as a "safe way" to crash. Every time they crash a drivers health is put at risk.
Flavio Briatore played with a human life for a trophy, and he is back in charge of a team.
Something is rotten in that paddock.
And because today is may 5th, I’m going to say this once and that’s it . . . IF YOU VOTED FOR THE RACIST FELON STAY YOUR ASS HOME AND EAT YOUR COLESLAW AND HOT DOGS I DON’T WANT TO SEE YOUR ASS IN A MEXICAN RESTAURANT EATING TACOS WHEN YOU’RE IN FAVOR OF THE MASS DEPORTATION!!
And if you even care, cinco de mayo is not Mexico’s Independence Day. Mexican’s don’t even celebrate cinco de mayo, it’s a regular day for us.
inside you there are two wolves: one wants oscar wdc, the other years for mclaren to burn to the ground
alex albon is so funny bc one hand he's like i HATE the media i HATE doing interviews etc etc. then he's in an interview telling everyone how george gave him a throat infection after they shared a bed (???) and saying some vague shit which leaves everything to the imagination. and then he'll go on a podcast or another pr thing and the public will sing his praises because he's so funny and nice (as they should !!). he'll say he doesn’t want to have a youtube channel and then go on instagram and make a post about his dog's balls. he's a full time WAG. he's fully brainrotted with a screen time of 17 hours. he has like 20 pets. he's the only one doing famous right i love him.
Anyway if nothing else matters then I hope people remember that Pope Francis used his last public address to call for a ceasefire in Gaza and call Israel a terrorist state:
"I continue to receive very serious and painful news from Gaza. Unarmed civilians are subjected to bombings and shootings. It is terrorism."
i miss kmag so fucking much. that guy would show up, swear in the press conference, call someone a fucking idiot, be gay for nico, cause collision in p16, gift us a red flag then collect a penalty point, be cute with his daughter and leave
Just an extremely Normal thing to say
Reminder they want to increase the budget for ICE from 3.5 to 45 billion dollars.
Reminder the majority of that will be for building new detention centers.
Reminder ICE are *currently* detaining tourists who can pay for a plane ticket home and people with visa issues that were already resolved, because they have to make quota so Trump can brag about the numbers going up.
Reminder most of these people were already in the immigration system - that's why they were easy to detain.
Reminder this is all at taxpayer expense.
Reminder these are people.
LAST PLACE FUCK THIS SHIT
'They should fire Liam'
'They should promote Yuki'
'Bring back Ricciardo'
'They shouldn't have fired Checo'
'They're gonna get Colapinto'
Actually the only contracts that they should revise are horner's and helmut marko's. And by revise I mean. rip apart. set on fire. throw the ashes on completely different points of the world so they can never ever be put back together or even try to resemble a redbull contract
Alex being this loud on the radio this season whether positive or angry I think is a good thing. I’m glad he’s aggressively advocating for himself and being unrestrainedly expressive. He’s trying to get his team to listen to him and treat him like the senior lead driver of the team (as he should!!) instead of ignoring him
People are clutching their pearls over his radios but it’s because they’ve never taken him seriously and always treated him like this child who is supposed to be happy and positive all the time. They’re either switching up now that he’s not acting “palatable” and standing up for himself. its the infantilizing of asian/SEA men
max saying never give up after the win... im on my knees..
you see, Kmag would've never allowed a race this boring
This is truly a Checo weekend he is haunting the narrative so bad.
Yuki talking about Checo being like a dad to him, now Max quoting Checo after his win with a voice crack i can't i can't
isack points, yuki p12 (and not p20), lewis made up one place, i didn't kill myself
Yuki being so open about how Checo has always been an incredible supporter, mentor, even a type of dad for him… I think that’s so beautiful and I’m glad people are talking about it because Checo deserves his flowers for how much he cares about young drivers on the grid (especially Drivers of Color)
The first example nobody talks enough about is how much Checo was one of the few drivers who was vocally supportive and openly kind to Max Verstappen when he first came onto the grid, even stating that he felt sympathetic to him because Checo also used to be very young racing against much older drivers. He saw a child that was already being heavily criticized and said he deserved a chance and even later said Max would change history with his talent, years before they would ever become teammates.
Checo was the one who intentionally supported Yuki from the beginning of his career to advise and encourage him. He resonated with him because he also knew what it was to be a noneuropean POC who moved away from home at a young age trying to navigate the sport knowing very little english. Noel León says he’s in regular contact with Checo who advises him on every track and encourages him to stay in europe and persevere. Checo was the one who scouted Isack Hadjar and intentionally pointed him out to Helmut Marko to be picked for the Redbull Junior Program. Franco Colapinto talked about the immediate warmth and support he received from Checo and what an honor it was to race against him and how he inspired so many latam growing up.
Checo cares so deeply I love him so much
Reporter: Does Lawson’s struggle put Perez’s poor performance into perspective?
Max, who spent all of last season defending Checo and fighting a car he hated only to lose Checo and somehow get an even worse car: im going to kill you. with my bare hands.
Mario Andretti saying a Pato O’Ward and Checo Pérez driver lineup for Cadillac 2026 is a possibility—
rip funny gen z short king pair you will not be forgotten in this household…
fuck red bull
I think now is a really good time to see who was paying attention to the racism that was always happening within Red Bull Racing, and why its vitally important now more than ever to keep paying attention to how People of Color within RBR are treated compared to white drivers. What a lot of people fail to realize is that how Checo was treated directly impacts how Yuki was/is treated, and the specific way that Checo was pushed out of RB makes me very scared for Yuki and Isack in the coming seasons.
With Honda's RB contract ending after the next season and Horner saying it's time to give up Yuki after 2025, they might feel free to make his last year a living hell and wrongly blame as many problems as they can on Yuki like they did with Checo. And with Isack, if he doesn't live up to their expectations instantaneously they might chew him up and kick him to the curb like they did with Alex.
Pay attention, think critically about the agendas that european press and redbull will be pushing, loudly advocate for the protection and fair treatment that drivers of color deserve!
we're watching in real-time red bull fucking over liam's career just as we watched them fuck over daniil's, pierre's, alex's, checo's, and daniel's careers and there are still people out there who believe yuki being sent to the gallows of the red bull second seat is a good idea?
how many people will have their career destroyed before we realise the fault is with red bull, not with the countless talented drivers who were chewed up and spat out like sticks of gum?
what will it take for you all to realise that the common denominator is red bull and that they will do to your driver what they have done to all the others?
ALSO I don’t want to see people saying that Max liking posts criticizing Red Bull’s decision is him bashing Yuki, it’s a straight criticism of RB’s piss-poor management. Max has always been supportive of Yuki, he is always there for young drivers. He will also strongly defend his teammate when he sees things are unfair like he did with Checo last year!
Literally just days ago we got a confirmed report that Checo said he hoped that Yuki wouldn’t get promoted to RB because of how awful things are internally with the team and the car. Put the pieces together!! Focus on the problems with the team because redbull would love for you to be distracted by which drivers like who’s post.
first Horner said Yuki would never be at redbull he’d always be a bridesmaid, clearly RB does not like Yuki especially given Marko’s racist remarks towards him.
But now that the press doesn’t wanna scapegoat a white driver anymore and everyone’s focused on the car and shortcomings of RB, they panic and switch em out so people will have a minority to bash on if and when Yuki can’t succeed in the car. At his own home race. This is so completely sick and evil in ways I cannot express.

I don't understand how many times we have to repeat it for people to understand that wags are NOTHING TO F1, no insult to them but they quite literally have nothing to do with the sports. If you like them go stalk their instagram but do not call them "ferrari girls" or "williams girls" or whatever cause they're not. Those teams have their own talented female drivers who are actually participating in the sport.
And not even the female drivers, there are a lot of women who work behind the scenes like media personnel or mechanics or engineers. The bottom line is that there are a LOT OF WOMEN in motorsport, enough that you don't need some pretty instagram "influencer" to be the female faces of sport. Thank you for coming to my ted talk.
it’s gonna be so scary when red bull finally runs out of replacements and helmut marko’s dementia riddled one eyed corpse has to drive that second car
I'd rather not have Yuki go anywhere near that disgusting team BUT
Checo and Yuki's dynamic between each other and their place within the team as a whole was designed in a lab to target and torture me specifically on a mental, physical and spiritual level. A Mexican driver and a Japanese driver, who genuinely cared about each other and understood each other's struggles BECAUSE of their background and the way they were treated by their teams and the sport itself. I feel genuine heartache for both of them because they meant something so deeply personal to me and their evil teams took it away.
even when everyone continually refuses to understand them as people because they keep wanting to project their stereotypes onto them, Checo supported Yuki and checked in on him on bad race weekends because he understands. And Yuki so clearly appreciated that care and the fact that Checo always vocally celebrated his talent and advocated for his success.
They were such an example of two people who not only understood the same struggles they endure in this field but also the deep importance of their culture and what it means to represent your people, how having other POC to support and care about you in a white-dominated field can mean the world in such a special way. then the systemic racism of the sport pushed out Checo and didn't give Yuki what he deserved.
