My eldest son Zain's first year at school was a joy for his school, friends and teachers. His life was like the life of any child who dreams of everything beautiful.

My second son, Yahya, was in his first year of kindergarten,and he would wake up early, happy to go to his friends and play.

Or do they now wake up to the sounds of planes and explosions and feel ashamed when they stand in line to get food or water? A terrible difference between our lives in the past and the present. A year between our stable life and the life of war, no education, no games, no life, no security, and no source of income. How long, world, where is humanity, where are the rights of my children? I know that everything going on right now is scary, but if any changes in the United States could effect you, please please please keep going. There are so many people in support of you, you are loved and cherished and nobody in power saying otherwise will change that. Your voice matters more than you think it does. Please keep living.

Kind of a sassy post, but I am fed up of hearing people I know have been unforgiving, judgmental, and neglectful of ND people irl going off about caring because it’s a day they can Look Good - the internet is full of this every awareness day (dude I knew who I found out abused women literally would always make a “women I admire” post on International Women’s Day 💀🤡)

In light of it being autism awareness day, please keep an eye out for people virtue signaling - they are Tiresome and use us and speak over us, all while falling short whenever the “support” isn’t public. Note how they treat people through the year, and ESPECIALLY low support needs autistics, as it’s harder to turn them into Pet Projects like they do with people who have high support needs autism. They are coming out with their Sweet Support today and it’s giving “omg we used to be so close, depression is so serious” after it was too late and they were uncaring and dismissive irl or at best, corporate pride month (they gain social points not money).

Support autistic people by treating us like people please.
