“he was cold, he was calculating, he never told me he loved me, he never even told me he liked me.”
And in this moment, everything about tony clicks into place. Because he is not cold, he is on fire. He wears his heart on his sleeve along with his intentions, he lets people in on his secrets before he lets himself in on them.
He tells people he loves them but it’s not in words, it’s not in something so empty, it’s in creating a world that they can live in. Its building them a suit of armour. He likes people, he loves them, he wants them safe and so he makes their home safe, as much as he's able to.
He is so desperate to be anything but his father that he becomes flamboyantly open, about everything. About his address. about his identity. About his affection, about his pride, about his uncertainty, about his self, about his fear. always about his fear. he wears it on his sleeve and in his chest and in his eyes and in his hands.
His father was cold and calculating. Tony is a burning fire and irrational and unpredictable to the point of being unrecruitable to the avengers initiative.
His father was cold, and calculating, and popular, and unaffectionate. Tony is not his father.
Felt like saying it here as well

I may be late to this, but I feel like it says a lot about how analog horror is covered at least on Youtube when Angel Hare, which is one of the most hopeful and wholesome analog "horror" series' I've seen, has videos talking about it that look like this:
Like, yeah it has dark elements, but it's not this horrifying dark show that corrupts children. Jonah wasn't manipulated into becoming a serial killer by Gabby, that's a fandom AU not what actually happens.
I may just be overreacting over something minor, but it annoys me that a genuinely fresh and kind take on the "dark children's show" trope where a guardian angel protects a child from their abusive father and comforts them through a TV show is treated almost exactly the same as Generic Spooky Face Jumpscare Tapes #57. It's all about the dark elements that accompany the story, and not the story itself.
Angel Hare actually tells a coherent and complete story about children's entertainment and escapism, which just so happens to have dark elements to it while still being a comforting series. At least acknowledge the story being told, not just the disturbing elements of it for the love of Angel Gabby.
Funniest thing about the "chai tea" meaning "tea tea" to me is that I'm Czech and the Czech word for tea is "čaj" which is pronounced "chai" and you know what we actually - no joke - call chai tea?
"chai čaj"
We literally call it chai chai we DO call it tea tea we literally pronounce it chai chai it's a thing
I saw you replied to my post, and you didn't reblog it
Spider-man why didn't you reblog his post
Love how the Netherbrain straight up just “listen I respected Bhaal’s kid, Durge, but not YOU 🙄” to Gortash. Funniest thing ever.
one of my fav things about spiderverse that i havent really seen anyone talking about is rio and jeff. like they were SO good in this movie, all their funny glaces at each other and miles during the conference, jeff bracing himself to jump and then taking the stairs instead the same way miles does in itsv, rio being terrible at speeches, her talk with miles on the balcony and “don’t take him from me!!!” and their conversation with gwen at the end… like miles takes after his parents so much and they love him so unconditionally and they were just so wonderful in this film!!
