Once saw a post where a person was sending an ask to someone that was just about how much they hate hiyori and shes a dumb bitch and they know that its not their fault but they hate her bc they love zoro and i was like "Damn bro i actually really like her character" I clicked on their page... zionist. Like proud zionist. The unreasonable hatred immediately made sense
I said slowburn but im realizing that slowburn is much slower than i thought maybe this is medium burn. Average burn.
Luffy x male reader. Angst(?) Slowburn still. 1703 words Part one
Desc: You confessed to Luffy and he tries to find out what it means to him.
You’ve started sleeping in the men’s quarter’s again. It was hard to get some sleep at first, but life at sea is tiring, especially with the occasional marine attack and random weather conditions. Your body will shut itself down eventually. Unfortunately, someone else isn’t having much luck tonight.
“Hnnnnnnnn..”
Rustle
“Hrrrmmmmmmm”
Rustle rustle
“Hnnnnngaahh!” Luffy sits up quickly, his arms in the air. “Can’t sleep.” A shoe is thrown at his head by Sanji. “Ow!”
“Then go outside instead of bringing us into it!” The chef barks while the rubber man rubs his head. He pouts while getting up, making his way out onto the deck.
“waaatchhhh… night watchh.. heheheh. As if I even need to. Who would even dare approach the ship of the GREAT Captain Us-”
“Usopp.” The sniper feels a hand on his shoulder.
“EEAAAAAAHHH!” He screams and bursts into tears, ready to plead for his life before realizing it’s just his friend. “Oh. Luffy.” He has a hand on his chest, quickly pretending nothing happened. “Why are you up?”
“Wh- What happened!? Did you scream!?” A large muscular human reindeer runs over. “Luffy?” Fwoosh, back to small.
“I scared a bird, that’s all. I already took care of it.” The captain tries to open his mouth but is quickly shushed by Usopp. “You couldn’t sleep, right? Why?”
“(Y/n) sleeps back in his bed now but he still doesn't talk like before.” Changing the subject works, why wouldn’t it.
“Like before?” The two crewmates ask.
“Yeah like, he doesn’t.. look at me, the same. Like it’s… different. Not as warm.” He wracks his brain to explain, making weird hand signals because he can’t translate his thoughts into words he knows properly.
“Loving? Caring? Like you’re the only thing that matters in this unforgiving world?” Usopp finishes and Luffy nods, similar enough. He hums while nodding, eyes closed with a hand on his chin.
“Seems like he fell out of love with you.” The sniper states after a bit of fake pondering for dramatic effect.
“Out of love?” Chopper and Luffy ask before Usopp nods.
“I mean, you rejected him, right? Even outed his feelings in front of all of us, sounds like he just moved on. Let the feelings fade out into the wind.” He explains while the doctor nods. Luffy’s brain goes empty-er as he lets how he feels translate into thoughts,
“I didn’t reject him” and out through his mouth. The two previously chatting teens stop.
“You didn’t?” They ask and Luffy shakes his head.
“I just called him weird, then he didn’t say anything else.”
…
Is that not a rejection?
“Is that not a rejection?” That’s what I said. Usopp furrows his brows, trying to see through his friend’s eyes. “Did you also stay silent?”
“I didn’t know what else to say.” The sniper hums, he would definitely start ugly sobbing if someone he was in love with did that to him.
“You could’ve said, ‘Thank you for your feelings, I do not feel the same way.’ If he continues then scold him.” Chopper says with a hoof on his chest. Very kind. “Or kick him off a mountain.” Two different parents taught him two different things.
“That could kill someone..” Usopp points out, slightly concerned. Chopper nods.
“If they survive they ask for your help and then you have a new customer/patient.” What did Dr. Kureha teach him? The long nosed man stares at Chopper in concern and shock before Luffy speaks.
“I don’t wanna do that.”
“Well yeah he’s still our friend, kicking him off a mountain is a bit mu-”
“I mean, I don’t wanna lie.” He clarifies and Usopp stares at his friend, lips jutted out still from being interrupted.
“Lie?” The small reindeer asks instead and the captain nods.
“I do have feelings for him. I just.” Luffy motions at his chest, “Just…” This is why he couldn’t sleep. “I don’t know what love like that is. Being in love. He’s in love with me and I love him but I don’t know what my love is if he feels like that.” Luffy feels platonic love easily, he feels joy and happy and angry all very easily. Even something like excitement from a woman’s chest he can feel via living through Usopp, but romantic love he doesn’t know a lick about feeling. Passion and smooching, hugging and holding hands, staring into each other's eyes. You could do that all with a friend, mostly, so what’s the actual difference? It’s not like lust is the difference either since people do stuff without loving each other all the time.
“Romantic love…” Hiriluk loved Drum Island and Dr. Kureha loved having fun. “Romantic love is having big antlers and sturdy fur.” Chopper reverts to what he learned when he was a wee baby. Luffy rubs his own head, no antlers. In response to his captain’s confusion, Usopp speaks confidently.
“It’s okay. They call me Captain of Love Usopp for a reason!” He strikes a pose and Chopper claps. “Love is like the warm sun on a snowy day, a ray of light peeking through storm clouds, an oasis in a desert. It’s the light at the end of a tunnel.” A lot of metaphors, but not a lot of actual explanation. It’s not doing much good, though Chopper at least seems into it. The rubber man isn’t as interested though, realizing this isn’t answering much of his questions. He looks down.
“I don’t want (Y/n) to be out of love with me if he’s like this because he doesn’t love me romantically anymore.” Luffy mumbles to himself, deciding to go to the restroom. Maybe that’ll help.
“Amorrr is- Luffy? Where’d he go?” Usopp looks around, realizing he’s gone. He looks down at Chopper, who’s expecting more. The sniper clears his throat and continues. “Love is like!” You get the point. Chopper doesn’t know about romantic love much, even as a reindeer. They don’t usually love romantically to mate, while both Hiriluk and Dr. Kureha were interested in their medical endeavors and danger. As for Usopp, he’d been on the same island all of his life always focusing on other things to ever truly register romantic love. His sick mother, her death, then trying to become a brave warrior of the sea. No parents to teach him either. His assumption was it would be figured out once on the ocean, being surrounded by lovers and admirers all the time. Neither of them can help Luffy, at least not in the way he needs.
So what does Luffy need? He doesn’t know, and neither do they. So he goes to the restroom.
“Love…” Luffy says while sitting on the toilet, not going or anything, just for thinking. “Loovvee. Loav.” Repeating it isn’t helping, “Louuvee, loaf.” though it is cheering him up. “Shi shi shi!” He laughs a bit, then stands up. This didn’t give any answers, but he won’t stress about it. Things will work out eventually. Luffy splashes water and soap on his hands, dries them off, then leaves the restroom. He goes back to the men’s quarters. Before going back to his own bed he stops by yours. “...” He crouches down and stares at you. “..luv.” A small mumble before flopping onto his mattress. His heart and mind feels clearer.
Meanwhile, your eyes open, what was that about?
_____________________
‘Why’d he just stare at me? Or maybe he wasn’t? My eyes weren’t open but I definitely felt his body heat and breath.’ You think to yourself as you poke at your food with a scowl, finally taking a bite out of it.
“Luffy’s gonna steal it if you don’t eat in time.” Nami tells you, pointing to your plate with her fork. On cue, the captain tries to reach for her food, hand smacked away before he could grab anything. No time for thinking during breakfast, but you’re on dish duty today. That should give you a chance to think.
“Hey.” A voice says behind you and you almost drop the plate you’re rinsing off. It’s Sanji. “So… about you and Luffy.” He starts, looking awkward. “You’re really in love with that id- with him?” He’d like to insult Luffy but feels it’s not the time.
“Way to bring it up again.” You grumble, placing the last dish to dry.
“Did he reject you?”
“Yeah, obviously. Don’t know what I expected to happen.” You don’t really feel like talking about it but he’s asking so you answer.
“Are you sure?” The chef asks and you look back at him, irritated.
“Hell you mean ‘are you sure?’ I’m pretty sure, dude.” Your eyes glare at him. “He called me weird and acts like I’m a specimen now.” Your sass makes Sanji frown back.
“I’m trying to help you, dumbass. Luffy’s not like other people. What you think might be a rejection can be something else entirely. He could say someone has a strong smell and consider it a compliment.” He lights a cigarette, annoyed at the attitude. “You could’ve read him wrong.” It’s a bittersweet thought that you just misunderstood.
“Even if I did misunderstand, so what? It’ll still mean a rejection, just in his own way.” You’re too stressed to talk about this. You were already trying to move on.
“He asked me about love yesterday.” Your eyes widen. “Usopp and Chopper said the same thing happened the day before.” Sanji says after taking a breath of his cigarette, blowing the smoke out the window. “That’s what I mean, but if you’re going to be a dick about it-” He leans into your face “-I don’t have to tell you anything.” He says mockingly.
‘Asshole.’ Though you were mean first, technically. Still, you really want to know the details. You clench your jaw, then speak. “I’m sorry for being an ass, tell me.”
“Huh? What’d you say? Tell you what?” He puts a cupped hand to his ear.
“Tell me more about what Luffy asked you.” He continues to stare at you until you sigh. “Please.” That gets a satisfied smirk out of him.
“Should’ve just said so.” You hold in your anger so he can continue. “What Luffy asked me…”
Cliffhanger wooaaaAAOoah. But still, theres another chappa. I already had a good portion of this one finished but the next one will prob take longer. Also my bad if this one was more comedic than you would like, all of my stuff ends up having a moment like that, plus moments with Usopp always tend to be unserious. I thought about not posting this immediately after it was done to space stuff out but.. nah. Not my style ig. Comment if you want, idk. Havent done slow burn in a long and by a while i mean years and also only like 2 or 3 times.
Okay thats it im tired of it im just not gonna scroll through tumblr anymore because manga readers just have no fucking decorum. No spoiler tag, no warnings, not even a fucking manga tag. I cant even block certain things because then an artist will just draw something and then not tag it manga. I fucking hate manga readers so much i hope you guys meet oda and he spoils the ending to you. Im so upset. I just want to be able to interact with fandom without something being spoiled. I never had this problem before coming on this stupid app. As if my life couldnt get any more stressful
I keep wanting to grow my hair out more like my brother but i cant make it past decently long before it gets tangled bad and i have to cut it
Hiii!!! Omg I loved Kindness Isn't Spineless!! Would you be willing to do a part 3?? Where reader and the crew are visiting an island and run into readers ex? Since they ex was toxic/abusive, reader obviously feels afraid. How would Luffy and the crew react? Luffy comforting reader? I hope you’re well <33
Hey so I went totally overboard hope that's alright. I ended up making this way too long and I have a book report to do so I'll make this the 3rd part and the next one will be the last part cuz I don't wanna dwell on this too long. Hope that's good.
Luffy x Gn!Reader. Lots of fluff, the strawhats are here too. Happiness all around. TW: small allusion to abusive ex relationship, reader gets anxious. 2,820~ words.
Part 1, Part 2, Part 4
“Luffy wait!” You call out to the rubber man as he drags you by the hand happily off of the ship, excited to see a new island. It’s tuckering you out, especially when you’re drowsy from the heat. You try to stop him by standing still, but his arm just stretches as he runs ahead of you. It’s only when it drags you back to him that he realizes what happened, managing to catch you before you slammed into him.
“Woah! Hey you’re being so slow!” He says, putting you down onto your feet.
“I’m trying to be energetic but the nap I took outside ended up just making me sleepier.” You respond, sighing.
“Want me to carry you?” He grins and holds his arms out. You consider that option before shaking your head.
“No, I need to walk around to get rid of the drowsiness anyway.” After declining Luffy nods and almost immediately runs off again, stopping when you squeeze his hand. “Luffy…” You say, your voice stern, and he pouts.
“Sorry…” He doesn’t like being scolded, but listens. It’s not so bad walking like this either, holding hands as he swings them happily. He saved up some allowance so he’s excited to see the kind of food they have here, his eyes shining at the thought. It makes him want to run again but he settles when he sees you looking around.
“It’s pretty here. I know maybe not that different from other islands we’ve been to but they have decorations up. Is there a festival?” You pull Luffy to one of the stalls, buying him an apple to munch on while you ask the stall owner a few questions. As it turns out, there is indeed a festival. It’s why there were other big ships at the dock, people are visiting from other islands to celebrate. “Luffy did you hear that?” You turn to your boyfriend, who nods his head with his cheeks full of apple. He chews a few times before swallowing and licking juice from his lips.
“Festival, right? That’s why they have all the stuff up?” Wow he was actually listening. You give him a kiss on the cheek, earning a “Shi shi shi.” of a happy Luffy. The stall owner mentions that there'll be fireworks too, and even games to play.
“A lot of stall owners are going to be selling food too, which is my personal favorite.” The owner says and Luffy’s eyes light up, looking at you in excitement.
“We’re staying for the festival, Luffy. I doubt the others would want to miss it either. From what the owner said there’s some historic significance to it, we should tell Robin that when we see her.” Luffy seems uninterested until you add “She’ll be happy.” and then he seems more interested.
“Let’s go find her!” He yells, quickly grabbing another apple before he drags you away. He backtracks for a quick second to pay and then you both are actually off, Luffy picking you up and running around looking for your crewmates to give the news. You find Zoro and Nami, Nami seems interested.
“Ooo a festival, yeah we’ll stay.” The prospect of wearing cute clothes and walking around in pretty scenery is appealing to her, especially when she thinks of all the rich bastards that’ll probably come. “Huhuhu.. I’m not giving you more allowance for the festival though, spend it wisely. Unless you want to take out a loan, of course~” She says with a sly smile.
“Crazy woman.” Zoro mumbles and she tugs his ear. “Ow!” They bicker a bit but Zoro also agrees. The festival itself is okay, but the real thing that interests him is the festive alcohol.
“I’m a crazy woman for wanting money but focusing on only alcohol in a beautiful festival is sane?” Nami asks with a scoff and Zoro scowls.
“Okay let's find the others!” Luffy says quickly, picking you back up and running off after waving bye to Nami and Zoro. You find Chopper and Usopp next.
“Festival? Yeah I heard about it, my great great great grandfather actually held the first festival of this island. I even have an ancient relic of the past-” Usopp starts and you cover his mouth before he starts rambling, you’ll take that as a yes.
“What about you Chopper?” You ask the small reindeer and he nods.
“Sounds super fun!” He says excitedly, hopping a little. “They’ll have cotton candy too, right?” You nod and he hops more. “Then let’s stay! I’ll go buy all the things I need before they close up shop for the festival!” With that, the little reindeer runs off with Usopp.
You find Brook and Jinbe next, people glancing at the sight of a huge fishman and a skeleton just sitting drinking tea. “Yohoho, a festival? I agree, what about you Jinbe-san?” Brook turns to Jinbe.
“I agree as well, festivals are always a nice thing to celebrate; especially with friends.” He says with a smile.
“Very wise, Jinbe-san.” Brook says, taking a sip of his tea. “Thinking of spending time with friends at a festival... it brings a tear to my eye, not that I have one! Yohohoho!” Him and Jinbe laugh at his joke, you two leaving after saying bye.
“We already got majority vote, can we go eat now?” Luffy asks as you two actually walk around normally this time.
“True, but this is fun, isn’t it? Telling news to the crew. Plus, didn’t you hear what Nami said? We gotta spend our money wisely. Saving it for the festival food sounds way better.” You tell Luffy and he pouts a little, then grins.
“Okay! And yeah, this is fun!” He says, quickly hugging you. You hug him back, then go back on your festival informant mission. Franky stayed on the Sunny, he didn’t need to buy anything and instead took the chance to look over the Sunny while protecting it. There are a lot of other ships around after all, there’s no telling if one of them is hostile and tries something. “FRANKKYYYY!!!” Luffy yells from the dock up to the ship. A few moments and the cyborg replies.
“Yeah!?” He yells back and Luffy wraps one arm around you, stretching the other to grab onto the Sunny. It launches you both up and onto the ship, in front of Franky.
“There’s gonna be a festival! Fireworks and meat!” Luffy says, excited, and Franky grins.
“Festival? So that’s why there’s so many ships around.” The cyborg notes. “You both want to stay for that, right? Sounds Super!”
“You’re not gonna celebrate?” You ask with a frown and he shakes his head.
“Someone has to look after the Sunny, marines and other pirates might try something.” He explains and both you and Luffy frown. “Cheer up! I’ll be able to see the fireworks from here!” He says, but you and Luffy still seem a little bummed. Franky is mature despite his personality, he has a point. You don’t want him to be alone though, besides the Sunny. Luffy kisses you on the cheek.
“Well, it’s his choice. C’mon we still have Sanji and Robin!” The captain says, spreading his happy energy to you. It makes you feel better; plus, you doubt with some of the crews’ personalities that he’ll be alone for long. You two hop off of the ship and spot Sanji holding groceries, he must be bringing them back to stock the ship.
“Oh, Sanji!” You call out but Luffy beats you to it, grabbing onto Sanji’s shoulders and launching to him.
“Sanji!!” He yells and the cook jolts.
“Luffy you idiot I’m holding things!” He says, but it’s too late and Luffy slams into him. Thankfully, experience and leg strength helps him stay upright. Luffy pulls back enough to look at him.
“Sanji, there’s gonna be a festival!” The captain announces and Sanji’s eyes widen.
“A festival?” He asks and the words echo in his head. ‘Festival… festival..’ His thoughts go to the women crowding the streets in festive clothing, giggling and having fun. Nami and Robin in their prettiest clothes, eating food and playing games. Sanji playing the games for them, winning prizes and offering it to them like the goddesses they are. He can already hear their voices thanking him, praising him, bestowing their beautiful presence upon him.
“Sanji! Sanji! Hello??” You pat his cheek and he snaps out of it.
“Yes I’ll stay for the ladi- the festival.” He quickly answers, blood trickling from his nose to Luffy’s laughter. The rubber man lets go of Sanji, landing on the ground and turning to you.
“We just need Robin now!” He says, having fun on this mission you’ve made.
“Robin-chan should be near the outskirts of the island, saying there were ruins here she’s interested in." Sanji's face darkens. "I wanted to go with her, but I needed to buy groceries.” He seems genuinely bummed. “I can’t keep a lady waiting for me.”
“Cool! Let’s go!” Luffy's too used to Sanji’s woes to take them seriously. You give the cook a pat on the back before you two leave. When you’re at the outskirts of the island you realize you don’t know which part of the island she went to.
“Maybe we should’ve asked around if anyone knows where the ruins are.” You mumble to yourself, bearing the curse of hindsight.
“We just gotta look around, right? Robin always shows up!” Luffy says, swinging your held hands.
“True, Robin tends to appea- AAHH!” You jump with a yelp when you feel a hand on your shoulder, turning around quickly to see a chuckling Robin.
“Sorry, couldn’t resist.” She says with a smile as you put a hand to your chest, your heart thumping. Luffy seems unaffected, just excited to complete the mission.
“Robin! They’re having a festival! There’s gonna be meat and history too but meat and fireworks and meat!” Luffy rambles and Robin nods.
“I heard, I was going to tell you all when we met up but it looks like you two beat me to it.” She says.
“Great! Everyone knows now so we can go eat!” Your captain exclaims, forgetting about your earlier statement of saving for the festival.
“Luffy…” You sigh and Robin chuckles again, able to make out the context.
“Well, eating a bit beforehand shouldn’t hurt, right?” She suggests and Luffy quickly nods.
“Don’t instigate him!” You stare at her, betrayed. She gently shakes her head.
“They’ll most likely make the festival food more expensive, it’s better for him to not hold his hunger." The archeologist points out. “Luffy won’t fill up, but it should help.” She has a point.
“True…” There’s also valid concern that he might eat everything before the festival, but there could be some shops that are selling non-festive food that won't sell during the festival. You might even be able to get some for cheap depending on what it is. “Thanks Robin.”
“Have fun~” She says before you two walk off. You and Luffy go to multiple places that sell food, buying anything that won’t sell during the festivities. It helps Luffy a bit, and he pats his stomach with a content sigh.
“You aren’t gonna eat more?” He asks you and you shake your head.
“I ate enough, I’ll save the rest for the stalls.” You say and he shrugs.
“Well, okay!” He kisses you, tastes like the ham sandwich he just ate.
………………………..
Festival time! It’s bright and colorful, celebrating the moon’s creation apparently. It used to be a more elegant celebration, but time passed and people wanted to celebrate in the best way they knew how. Fun! Games and food stalls galore. You and the rest of the crew walk around, admiring everything. Luffy, thanks to Robin’s genius, gets to eat skewers with “moon sauce” whatever that is. It tastes good, you know that much. When you’re walking around you hear some whispers.
“Did you hear Mante is gonna be here?” Your heart drops as you hear the two people speaking.
“Mante? The hottie dancer?” The other person asks. “The one who works with that charity for the homeless?” Fuck, that’s definitely him.
“Yeah, apparently he’s dancing here for the festival. He’s using 70% of the profits he gets for his charity!”
“No way! Apparently dancing here is a ton of pressure! Giving most of the berri away, that’s crazy.”
“His good looks match his heart, I guess.” With that, the two people leave. Your heart pounds in your chest, this is bad, this is really bad. You knew he was getting popular but you didn’t know he would appear here.
“(Y/n)?” Luffy, munching on a moon themed pie, says your name. You’re out of it, only coming to when he presses his forehead to yours. You jolt.
“Luffy, you scared me.” You respond, getting startled for the second time today.
“You were spacing out all weird, what happened? Do you know this Mante guy?” He asks and you sigh.
“Y-Yeah, I used to know him…” Your voice is bitter and Luffy tilts his head in confusion.
“Does he suck at dancing or something?” The captain assumes from your reaction.
“No, no, he’s good. He wouldn’t be this popular if he actually sucked.” Your sigh only makes him more confused.
“What is it then?” He asks but you’re hesitant to answer, not wanting to ruin the fun by saying he’s your ex. Before he can push more, the sound of music starts. It calms you for a second before your eyes trail to a platform, on it are various dancers; and in the middle is the person of your nightmares. He’s handsome, maybe even more handsome than before in his beautiful dancer clothing. Luffy swallows the pie in his mouth, furrowing his brows as he follows your gaze to the dancer. He doesn’t know what’s going on but he knows you look scared. He quickly finishes the rest of the pie and grabs your hand. “Fireworks are way better anyway, let’s go somewhere else.”
“Where are you guys going?” Chopper, holding cotton candy, asks. He notices your pale complexion and gets worried. “Are you okay? Did you eat too much?” You shake your head and he frowns, holding up his cotton candy to you. “Want something sweet?” You shake your head again and he looks really worried.
“It’s okay Chopper, I’m just a little nervous. Maybe I just need to go somewhere quiet for a bit.” You tell the little reindeer and he nods, still staring at you. He pulls out some chewable tablets.
“Just in case it is your stomach, chew two of these and you should feel a little better.” The doctor says and you take the tablet, pocketing them.
“T-Thanks.” You mumble.
“What’s going on? Did you get constipated?” A voice behind you says, Zoro. He’s with Usopp and Nami, holding whatever they buy or win.
“Ohh is that it? Are you constipated?” Luffy turns to you and you shake your head again. The assumption is a little funny, but it isn’t really helping your nerves.
“Stop assuming gross stuff.” Nami says, annoyed. She walks over to you. “You’re just feeling anxious right? Robin is thinking about going back to the ship if you wanna go with her.” The offer is really tempting, the problem is that you also really don’t want to ruin things for Luffy. Of course, he can choose to have fun without you and leave you to Robin and Franky. He trusts them to keep you safe like this, but there’s also a chance he might be too worried to leave you alone. You can’t properly predict which one it’ll be with him, plus you do want to have fun with him around here. The thought of losing that because of him makes you angry.
“I’ll go somewhere with less people for a bit, then I'll come back for the fireworks.” You settle with and she nods.
“Well, okay.” Nami says, turning around to see Zoro trying to wander off. She quickly grabs him and pushes him to Usopp. “Make sure he doesn’t run off.” She tells him. Usopp doesn’t really want to, but Nami is scarier than Zoro. “I’ll see you, then. Don’t hesitate to go back to the ship if you need to.” She says and Chopper nods.
“I won’t.” You respond and Luffy looks at you, tightening his hold on your hand.
“I’m coming with you.” He says and you look at him.
“You don’t have to, I’ll be ba-”
“Nuh uh, I wanna go with you. I wanna rest too.” He doesn’t want to leave you alone, walking around without you wouldn’t be as fun anyway. You sigh in relief.
“Mkay, let’s go then.” To be honest you don’t wanna be completely alone either. You’re scared being alone might just make the thoughts come back. With that, you both leave after saying seeya to Nami, Zoro, Usopp, and Chopper. 'I just want to have fun without thinking of him.'
just found out i can still edit stuff with html on my phone i just have to go to the website version of it this is epic
you need to stop hating and ruining other ships. You’re probably one of these shanks fan who don’t like shuggy and make it everyone’s problem
Oh my god. Okay. Im gonna say this one more time. I don't dislike shuggy. I keep saying this. Its the dynamic thats its popularized and, more frusteratingly, normalized when its toxic. Ots way too glorified. Thats it. If people treated it like a toxic relationship which what the popular dynamic is, then i would still dislike it but be completely fine with it, whatever, you do you. Its how its like.. normal. Like "Haha look this guys boyfriend treats him like shit and makes him feel worthless but don't worry because its just him being a tsundere ignore the emotional dependency this is just a cute thing. Also if we ever do something story focused non comedy the 'tsundere' is the one thats longed after and apologized to" That is my problem. Its not sthe ship im not even this adamant for the dynamic its the normalization and even glorification of the toxcicity and acting like it isn't toxic.
Guys do some of the posts on my masterlist show "no posts found" when you click on them or is that just me?
edit: Don't just like, answer me! 😭
Imagine trying to slap a fly and getting fiberglass sized pines on you ouch
Hello!! i was the one who requested the ace watersports fic and THANK YOU SO MUCH BRONGLJKENVJRKG IT'S SO GOOD❤️❤️❤️
You're welcome omg i was kinda worried that i messed something up but i did it gggg THANKS FOR THE ASKKK ❤️❤️❤️❤️
Hi! Can I request a Sanji fluff fic? Where he's on night duty on a cold night and Y/n brings him a blanket and hot tea (or coffee?) made just for him. They sit and cuddle And everything is just so cute.. (Sorry, I just miss my cat very much and I miss the warmth. (The cat is alive!)) 😭😭😭😭😰😔😔😔😔
Glad your cat is alive dude, saw the missing your cat and was like “Oh shoot dam that sucks.” Still sucks but less if the cat is alive.
Sanji x GN!Reader. Just pure fluff. 826 words
Sanji peppers kisses on your face as you laugh. “I got it, I got it, you’re on night duty. I’ll be okay.” You push him back a bit as he looks at you with sad eyes.
“Are you sure you’ll be oka-”
“Yes, I’ll be okay. I’ll stay warm, okay? You act like these walls are thin, Franky’s an amazing shipwright he wouldn’t just let us freeze. It’s not that cold here, is it?” You motion around the room and Sanji sighs.
“Okay, you’re right.” He hugs you one last time. “I’ll come back immediately once my night shift is done, my love.” With that, he tears himself away from you and leaves the room. You go back to the bed and get inside, it’s comfortable, but not as comfortable as when Sanji is with you. He’ll be here soon though, so it’s okay. That’s what you tell yourself, anyway, but when you try to sleep you start to worry. It was already pretty cold in the day, how cold is it now? The bed is really comfy though… You imagine Sanji, alone, in the cold and freezing sadly, the thought makes you get up. You’ll just check how he’s doing quickly, so you won’t bother him. Getting up, you leave the room. Immediately it’s colder than inside, but not too bad still. It’s when you leave the ship that you realize how cold it is. You’re careful though, spotting Sanji. He seems fine at first, but you notice him shiver a bit, lighting a cigarette to give some warmth.
‘This won’t do, I’m not going to leave him like that.’ With a determination to help your boyfriend, you go back to your room and grab blankets; then head into the kitchen. Coffee.. it would help with keeping him awake, but he’s already smoking. Having just coffee and cigarettes, that’d be pretty sad, so instead you decide to brew him a nice tea. Brook’s taught you how to brew it before, tea isn’t too hard anyway, so you do well. You even remember how Sanji likes it, then you brew a cup for yourself. Now you have two cups of tea and a thick blanket… how are you going to carry this. You carefully wrap the blanket around yourself and tie it, then hold the teacups on a plate. Off you go!
‘Was he really just planning on sucking it up and keeping watch despite the cold?’ You think to yourself as you watch Sanji, then begin to slowly sneak to him. It doesn’t work out though, the moment he senses you he turns.
“Love?” He’s a bit confused for a moment before hurrying over to you. “Why are you out here? It’s cold..!” You both can’t be too loud, crewmates are sleeping.
“Exactly, it’s cold, you didn’t even think to bring something to warm you up? I could've given you a blanket.” He shakes his head at your words.
“Taking a blanket from you? I wouldn’t, you..” He trails off as he notices the tea, staring at it. “Is that.. for me?” You nod and his face flushes. “You made two.” He takes the teacup carefully like it’s an heirloom being passed down to him. “It must’ve been cold then.”
“It wasn’t, I made it because I’m staying out here with you.” You state and he stares at you, eyes slightly wide.
“You don’t have to stay out here with me, I’m going back to the room soon-”
“I’m not doing this for me, baby, I know you’re cold. I’m not letting my boyfriend just suck it up.” You take a sip of your own tea, then sit on the deck. Sanji is frozen for a moment but then quickly goes to you, before he can try and let you have the blanket you wrap it around the both of you. “We can keep eachother warm, so stay close, okay?” He looks at you, adoration and love in his eyes as he cuddles close to you.
“...Okay.” Sanji says quietly, taking a sip of the tea you made for him. It settles in his body, warming it up, but more than anything the fact that you came out here for him makes everything feel warm. His hands that were previously freezing feel cozy now, along with his heart when he was out here alone without you. He would never ask you to do this for him, but you did it. This memory locks its way into his mind as you both stay close to each other, cuddling until the sea around you has never felt more pleasant.
“Ugh, lovebirds.” Zoro says, disgusted as you two sit cuddling. You look to him and put a finger to your lips to shush him, the swordsman noticing a sleeping Sanji comfortably resting on you. He looks peaceful, innocent, it makes Zoro huff in a bit of annoyance. ‘Whatever, this is better than him picking a fight, I guess.’
There it is folks, hope you enjoyed it! It was a bit short but I don’t like to force things to be long if they don’t naturally end up that way. Inspiration based, and my inspiration told me to make this short and sweet. Really sorry if this isn't fluffy or cute enough.
