the first time he met you, he thought your smile was unnerving, yet calming. your eyes were dull in contrast to his own periwinkle ones, yet that didn't bother him.
if you two got together, you and he exchange teasing remarks to each other, some even more insulting than the others, but you both know they are lighthearted. and even then, kaeya, being ever the observant man, always sees you smiling, but he knew that it was a facade, like his.
you tease him relentlessly, as well as others. (you and kaeya tease diluc a lot.) he also senses your almost constant state of anger, but he decides to not say anything about it.
you have an inferiority complex, so if you open up to kaeya about your past and why you smile all the time, and of course, in return, he opens up to you. he will praise you so much, and when it comes to battle, he will stand there with a proud smile and sparkles in his eyes, literally. you spar with him quite often and both of you give each other advice. (both of you suffer from family losses, so both of you understand each other well, and both of you give exceptional advice.)
you release your extreme rage on abyss mages, due to your past. while fighting, you were sadistic and unrelenting. kaeya has to step in sometimes.
if you have a breathing technique similar to shinobu's, he will obviously ask you to not spar with him using that, yet he wants to know more about it. you use your techniques during missions, and it helps a lot.
overall, a pretty interesting dynamic, and both of you work well together. a solid relationship! although it might resort to you both getting kicked out of diluc's tavern.

Allow me to hit you with.. what might be considered to be a hot-take but.. is actually supported by canon evidence and parallels..
Now why in the world would I think that? Everyone is always talking about the parallels between nezuko and michikatsu and yoriichi and tanjiro.. I mean tanjiro IS yoriichis successor after all, isn't he? Until a few months ago I never had a mind to question this narrative..
That was until I came across an official illustration book that made me halt in my tracks..
I just had to take a minute to appreciate the artwork featuring kokushibo (for obvious reasons) that is when I realised something..
Let's take a look at yoriichis, kokushibos and tanjiros respective demon slayer marks..
Because surely that can't be..
Oh it is. It very much is. Tanjiros demon slayer mark is NOT like yoriichis. It's like kokushibos. I was willing to let it go before - chalking it up to tanjiros mark perhaps not being fully-fledged out on the illustration (since it does have different visual stages)
But then.. when I was reviewing kokushibos official fanbook page.. I noticed: THIS
'His neck and face have marks resembling flames like tanjiro has'
TANJIRO. Michikatsus demon slayer mark looks like TANJIROS, tanjiros demon slayer mark is a canonical parallel to KOKUSHIBO not. Yoriichi.
And THAT got me thinking about other similarities and parallels that kokushibo and tanjiro could possibly have:
1) Tanjiro is the older sibling. -> Just like michikatsu, tanjiro is the eldest, the one who was to carry forth the legacy of his family JUST LIKE MICHIKATSU. Tanjiros legacy being hinukami kagura, michikatsus legacy being bringing honour to his clan/family
2) hard-working. Neither of them had the supernatural cheat code that yoriichi had (born with the demon slayer mark, breathing was literally already sun breathing, constant access to the see through world, core strength to back up his abilities even as a kid -> the analysis we have kid michikatsu to thank for btw )
Sun breathing DID NOT come natural to tanjiro, he had to work hard and he struggled with adapting it for a long time (during the entertainment district arc he literally has to use a mixture of water and sun breathing because he couldn't handle sun breathing on its own yet) meanwhile michikatsu literally practiced so hard until his hands literally bled. They're both undeniably hard workers who got to the point that they are now through discipline and rigour.
3) both are slapped on the cheek due to their kindness that is considered as weak
Michikatsu: michikatsu was slapped because he was caught playing with yoriichi although their father had explicitly forbidden him from interacting with yoriichi. At that point in time michikatsu also believed his brother to have been deaf so.. the fact that he had still sought yoriichi out despite his father's orders? It is extremely kind of him. He gets punished for his kindness
Tanjiro: tanjiro gets slapped because he fails at killing the demon and the demon ends up dying due to the sun. Urukodaki slaps tanjiro because in his eyes, tanjiros kindness is weak and that he is not fit to become a demon slayer.
Both instances take place at the start of both of their journeys.
4) due to their status as older siblings both kokushibo and tanjiro have a deep sense of responsibility. Not just for their younger siblings (tanjiros care for nezuko is very well-known and kokushibo canonically calls yoriichi one of his 'obligations') but also in general.
5) both are connected to muichiros character development and growth. It is tanjiros eyes that remind muichiro of his father's eyes and tanjiro who returns the light to muichiros eyes as well as his memories.
About tanjiros eyes looking like the eyes of muichiros father? Where do you think muichiros father got those eyes from, hmm? Not yoriichi that's for sure. Yoriichi never had kids. Muichiros fathers eyes look like michikatsus eyes (when michikatsu was just a small child)
It is also kokushibo that connects muichiros recovered memories to muichiros legacy by revealing their relation.
6) tanjiros eyes are subtly expressive and alive... just like michikatsus. Yoriichis eyes are known for their oftentimes empty characteristic and tanjiro wears his heart on his face, especially in his eyes... just how michikatsus/kokushibos feelings can be discerned through his eyes
7) they both keep their respective 'social' circles in line
Tanjiro is often the voice of reason in his chaotic friend group
Just as kokushibo is often the voice of reason/the one keeping things running smoothly and ensuring that the upper moons uphold and respect the hierarchy
8) they are both characterised by how highly adaptive they are in battle and how flexible they are when it comes to changing strategies. Now, yoriichi is obviously very good at this as well but he does this on an intuitive, instinctual level whilst tanjiro and kokushibo consciously execute this.
I could probably come up with even more parallels but I think I have brought my point across, no?
Meh im always too late for any hype TwT
No need to download! It's a web-based game that should work on mobile too.
The art and overall story are made by yours truly while the OST is created by our beloved @naraven. There are currently 2 CGs and 2 OSTs available, and depending on the reception I might continue beyond the common route since I already have most sprites done <3
This is something I had been pondering about making for a while since my blog has reached it's 2nd year mark so I made this under 3 days. I love you all. Thank you for sticking around. Here's the link to the game. I hope you enjoy it <3.
For context, please read this fic first!

Description:
Greetings, I am Diluc Ragnvindr.Ā Welcome to Southern Gaciea. Unlike the North, East, and the West, the South is a tourist spot for outsiders. It's a closed off country, so outlanders will need to submit their documents to the department of domestic affairs.Ā Perhaps you do not remember, but you've encountered many interesting individuals upon your arrival such asā¦Ā Ā Captain Dainsleif,Ā the famous Western knight turned retainer for both Prince Lumine and her missing brother, Prince Aether;Ā Ā Lord Kamisato, the Eastern noble who controls Gaciean trade with just a flick of a wrist;Ā Ā Chief Albedo, the Head of Domestic Affairs and Chief Alchemist from unknown origins;Ā Ā Justice Ajax, the unreasonable Northern politician whom I often argue with;Ā ā¦And, of course,Ā Duke Ragnvindr, the Southern Head of Military Affairs. That would be me.Ā Ā It's a shame you no longer remember much of our time together, (Y/n). I assure you, I can make you feel at home in this universe. Butā you're not planning to leave South Gaciea soon, are you? ā„
Dev note: pssst, you might get some extra dialogue if you put these as your name (more will be added soon cuz that aint all my moots >:((( i need to code more efficiently smh.)

Human: I do.
Alien Host: You know that the theme of this show is bringing on people such as yourself and proving that I can in fact predict the future.
Human: I have watched your show and Iāve seen how you use your scam to convince people that you can predict the future.
Audience: Ooooooooooooooooooooooooo!!!
Alien Host: If it has been proven right so many times how can you still claim it is a scam?
Human: Because you have never had a human on your show until now to disprove it.
Alien Host: Bold words but weāll give you a shot.
Alien Host: What have you got in store for me to disprove my abilities?
Human: *reaches into pocket and pulls something out*
Human: Iām going to flip this coin and you will tell me which side it lands on.
Alien Host: Thatās it?
Alien Host: Thatās your grand plan to disprove my skills?
Human: Half of it.
Human: You find out the other half after I flip the coin.
Alien Host: Ominous; I always liked that about you humans.
Alien Host: Very well, flip that coin and I predict it will be heads!
Human: *Flips coin*
Alien Host: *Watches coin spin upwards*
Human: *Pulls out gun from jacket and pulls the trigger*
*Gunshot goes across the table and hits the alien host in the arm*
*Audience begins screaming as human sets the gun down on the table*
Human: You can all relax, that was the second part of my plan.
Alien Host: WHY DID YOU SHOOT ME!?!?!!?
Human: *Calmly* Why did you not see the bullet coming?
Alien Host: You said you were using the coin toss!!
Human: I said it was the first part and that youād find out the other half during the flip.
Human: If you can see into the future why did you not dodge the bullet or attempt to stop me from pulling a gun and shooting you?
Alien Host: Who could predict such madness!?!?!?
Human: Exactly.
Human: You can āpredictā the future as you call it because you are a master of probability, not a fortune teller.
Human: Thatās why you were so confident you could accurately predict how the coin would land and claim you saw it in the future.
Human: But no one could predict a random act of violence without any forewarning signs given.
Alien Host: You did all of this just to prove me wrong!?!
Human: I mean, isnāt that the point of the show?

Again, I came out with a Genshin x Kimetsu no Yaiba crossover, only to be just with the Demons and the Fatui and take place in this big company.
They were two separate companies that ended up being united, with Tsaritsa and Muzan being both the CEOs of this place.
Reader is able to get a job in the company only to become Rosalyne (Signora)ās assistant.
I find myself thinking about Kokushibo and his family a lot. His wife and children, I mean.
Him abandoning them was wrong, but at the same time, I can't entirely blame him. It was clearly an arranged marriage and one that he wasn't happy in. Even though he described it as "peaceful", he also followed that up with "boring." For someone like Kokushibo, who's entire passion is swordsmanship and improving himself, I can see how that would ultimately lead to a feeling of discontent and listlessness.
However; my sympathy also extends naturally to his wife and children. Just like him, they were forced into a situation they also had little choice in. Kokushibo's wife was arranged to him, just as he was to her. The children didn't ask to be born. In the panel depicting Kokushibo leaving, it's easy to tell that they did love him. His wife looks devastated while his eldest tries to run after him, reaching out to grab his leg or his hand to keep him from leaving.
I see many discussions surrounding Kokushibo and his feelings towards his family, but ultimately I feel the situation is more complicated than one or the other. I don't think he hated them, nor do I think he truly loved them. He felt shackled, perhaps even resentful of his circumstances, but he did ultimately express regret at having abandoned them.
Kokushibo likely had more complicated feelings, perhaps more than he understood or was willing to admit. Having two children with a woman, one who was visibly devastated by his departure, and having his eldest child try to stop him from leaving seems to me like a pretty good indicator that, while he was with them, Kokushibo was a fairly good husband and father.
They loved him. I think Kokushibo had at least some fondness for them, too. Not enough to stay, not enough to consider his wife his "true love", but enough to treat them kindly while he was with them and to feel regret for his actions upon his death.
I do find myself wondering how his wife and children coped after his death. Financially they were probably fine, but emotionally is another thing. His wife probably had to live with the knowledge that the man she loved, or at least tried to love, didn't return the feelings. At least, not enough to prevent the final outcome.
His eldest would grow up with bittersweet memories and confused feelings. He would remember the excitement he'd felt when he was small and his father came back from his most recent mission, or the memories of Kokushibo holding him or promising to teach him how to wield a sword, all of that muddied by the pain and resentment of being left behind, of hearing his mother crying in despair.
His youngest would forever have a void in his heart. Never having had memories of his father, but longing to have known him and subsequently feeling guilty for longing for the man who abandoned them. Did they ever ask their mother or elder brother, or were they too scared to prod at old wounds?
Did they ever fully pick up the pieces? Did Kokushibo ever think of them, as a Slayer or as a Demon? I suppose we'll never know.
