Imagine just how popular the members of the Fellowship would be in Gondor and Rohan after the War of the Ring. They’re the heroes who saved the world, and the common folks look up at them in awe.
A few years after the end of the war, Legolas is visiting Minas Tirith when he hears a woman call his name. He turns around, surprised, only to see this stranger calling after a toddler running away from her. “Legolas, come back to mama!” she calls, over and over. There’s a baby on her hip who start crying, and she gently shushes her little Pippin. Legolas walks away, feeling wistful and wondering.
In Rohan, Éomer hears one of his men proudly announce the birth of his first child, a little boy named Merry; he smiles and congratulates the young father, making a mental note to write to Merry Brandybuck.
Gimli becomes a very popular name for little girls in Gondor, and this sends Aragorn and Legolas into hysterical fits of laughter. Gimli is unbearably proud of this fact.
Samwise and Frodo, too, become popular children names, no matter the gender, and especially amongst lower class folks. When Sam hears of the news, he turns red and sputtering.
Two decades or so after the war, Faramir almost has a heart attack when one of the new recruits of the guard of Ithilien almost sheepishly introduces himself as Boromir.
This has been a PSA.
Season 3 episode 1: Phee beats the crap out of Cid for 30 minutes
Just saw gifs of Hayden training for rots and he looks so young in it.
Sooooo do you think that at one point during the clone wars Obi-Wan looked at Anakin doing something silly or the light hitting his face in a particular way and suddenly he saw the 9-year-old boy he took as a padawan, like "…oh Force that’s a child. I know he’s legally an adult and we knighted him, but this is the face of a boy. Look at those cheeks. He should be taking a nap right now. Why is this literal baby on a battlefield. I’m going to make him some soup right now"
Actual friendly reminders:
Gwyn was the first person to bring up the Valkyries. Without her knowledge, the Valkyries wouldn’t have re-emerged.
It was thanks to her friendship bracelets (blessed by the Mother) that Nesta, Emerie and her found each other in the Blood Rite and won.
It was thanks to her research on the ribbon that they were able to become Valkyries officially. In fact, Gwyn was the first to cut it thus becoming the first Valkyrie of the new generation.
Gwyn’s impact in ACOSF is bigger than people give her credit for. She’s not an irrelevant character at all.
we don't give percy enough credit tbh honestly if i was 12 and my mom died and my best friend was a goat and my father was a sea god and i was expected to go around the country looking for my uncle's thunderbolt with a girl that i was pretty sure hated my guts while literally everyone in my life was hiding things from me and never giving me any information so i had to peice everything together and still being called dumb i would go on a homicidal killing spree. i think percy managed to beat up ares because of the unhealthy amount of rage and agitation that was building up inside of him. honestly i don't blame him at ALL pop off king
I am awaiting the Tech and Phee reunion which will I hope happen in front of Crosshair and when she grabs Tech and kisses him Cross is going to be like
Idk why Padmé was so upset about Anakin beating the crap out of Clovis like??? He just walked in on his wife getting sexually assaulted??? What did you think he was going to do??? And he blames himself for losing his temper and stuff, but dude there couldn’t be a better justification for blowing up. Even if he didn’t love Padmé and wasn’t married to her, a Jedi couldn’t just witness something like that and keep their cool! The injustice! Padmé clearly and deliberately told Clovis “No!” And he still tried to touch her in ways that were obviously unwelcome so thank you Anakin for being a good hubby and defending Padmé <<<3333
When you think too deeply about silly haha ghost mystery drama show and remember it’s literally a story about children that died. Kids, some of which weren’t even old enough to have a driver’s license, who didn’t even get to graduate yet, that died traumatically or were brutally murdered and now have to spend the rest of eternity haunting the halls of the school they never got to leave, watching generations of other kids get to grow up when they’ll never get to. They were only high schoolers, man 😭
It haunts me to this day
