The fearful man, the businessman & the free man
“Worship is of three kinds: some people worship God out of fear, and that is the worship of slaves; other people worship God seeking reward, and that is the worship of hirelings; and some people worship God out of love, and that is the worship of those who are free, and that is the most excellent worship.”
_Imam Jaffar al-Sadiq (AS)
Today was a good day. Done my knee in but it was vibes
Ah yes, its that time of year
I am merely a student in this life.
Nothing more, nothing less.
Just a student.
Imam Hassan (as) was once asked about courage, to which he replied, “It is to know when to stand up to one’s opponents, and when to be patient in the face of criticism and slander”
— Bihar al-Anwar, v. 78, p. 104, no. 2
Reserve all your prayers, supplications, solicitations for Him and Him alone. For to bestow, give, and confer lies only in His Power. Allow God to exceed your expectations and be extravagant in what you ask of Him. Ask audaciously for your heart's greatest desires, and know that how you perceive God's generosity will shape the outcome to your prayers. Indeed, only He Who is Most Generous is worthy of worship.
— Imām ʿAlī ibn Abī Ṭālib (ع)
Not for the faint hearted
The voice that comes from the lungs and the abdomen cannot express itself fully without the bones of the head, the lips, the teeth, the tongue, the palate. So we see that this body is an instrument of sound. When the tree swings in the wind, each leaf gives a sound. The breeze alone cannot produce the full sound. The leaves of the tree rustle and become the instrument for the air. This shows us that the whole framework of this world is the instrument of sound.
Hazrat Inayat Khan, The Mysticism of Sound and Music
I don't know what it is but there's something about this piece of music that makes me feel different
I feel like something died inside me, but in a beautiful way
Tragedy
Beautiful death
Melancholy
