People really be out here speaking multiple languages and get talked down to by people who only speak english. That's some audacity.

Veeru sahasrabuddhi wasn't wrong when he said, " life is race " . Well that's the mind set we have inherited since generations. Be it academics, relationship, personality etc etc. First we've compete to get a position in society (for our parents ) later get married to someone to keep the social thing going . Where as I wonder what exactly society does to us when we fall , or do mistakes. Certainly according to society we are not supposed to enjoy our life . We can't study because we enjoy it , we can't stay single because we would love to live carefree . Technical term hai iske liye " samajik bandhan" . When people can't compete in their generation they prepare their next generation to compete . I wonder when would this end . Let them enjoy what they are doing. Guide but don't pressurise to perform for some pseudo excellence .
"omg look at the moon" girl nO IT'S GANESH CHATURTHI
now i haven't watched adipurush. but ive seen the teaser. ive seen the trailer. ive listened to the specific issues people have had with the movie.
and ive listened to the makers' poor excuses. one of which is, that this was made to cater to the younger generation.
and boy is that a disgusting excuse. how horribly condescending of them.
what are you trying to imply? the younger generation isn't gonna watch the Ramayana if there isn't truckloads of vfx in it and if the dialogues aren't grotesquely simplified? is that why you've made a low-quality high-budget movie? are you having some kind of pity on "this generation"? what an appalling excuse for your incompetence!
There's a reason why Ramanand Sagar's Ramayana of 1987 and Yugo Sako's Ramayana of 1992 are still so popular. The amount of research and hard work that would've gone into reducing such a nuanced and massive and revered epic into a series of 78 episodes or a movie with a run time of 2 hours, is unimaginable. Their popularity is because they understood the essence of the text and exercised their creative liberty within its essence.
How many of y'all have watched the homegrown animated movie "Hanuman" that came out in 2005? (not bal hanuman or whatever else, im talking about the OG) I was only 2 when it came out and I was obsessed with it. I was obsessed with Hanuman. He was essentially my favourite super hero. I would roam around with my dad's towel tucked into my chaddi, like a tail and i had a gadaa! a brown, plastic gadaa that my parents bought me and it was my favourite thing in the world!
and i knew that movie line by line. i said the lines as they parallelly played on the screen. how???? because the objective of the movie was simple - to tell the story of hanuman. the objective wasn't to babytalk the story of hanuman because kids are, well, kids. the movie is there on youtube btw, if you ever wanna (re)watch it.
i'll rant about ravan's potrayal in adipurush in another post. *sighs*
if i say im bankrupt will my anxiety leave me aloan?
It's April and we've collectively as a nation, turned into a whore for chilled water.
