EW’s Best Photo Outtakes of the Year
Scream Queens
Ruven Afanador photographed Emma Roberts (and Jamie Lee Curtis) in New Orleans shortly before last fall’s Scream Queens premiere, and he says the energy in the room was palpable. “They were very excited that they were going to be on the EW cover and they wanted to help create the best possible photo, so that was exciting as well,” Afanador says.

Artist Alexis Arnold began a breathtaking art project, in which she crystallised books, as a symbol of what one wants, but cannot have. In these projects, the book's covers are coated in tiny crystal fragments, yet the texts inside are perfectly preserved.

This keychain wasn’t part of the official collection and it was never sold in stores, it was a press gift. So Emma probably got hers back in 2011 when she attended the Versace for H&M launch.
