I was listening to the English dub of My Hero, and I heard Deku out right say something on the line there is no good reason to tell someone to kts/you shouldn't every tell someone to kts.

(Got bad memory, but he said kill themself and he was upset that someone said that)

What I do remember after hearing that, tho, is that I had to take a minute. For two reasons. One: I am used to shows censor that topic, so hearing a character out right said that wasn't what I expected. Two: I know that a lot of antis like this show and this character in particular. It's ironic, definitely since they perch that what you watch and your favorite character reflects you.

Deku would be proship.

A passion passage by yours truly

1. Their similar personalities and quirks

Present Mic and Manga Fukidashi are super similar personality-wise. They're both loud and exciteable hip type guys, who could totally bounce off each other perfectly !

Their quirks are also very similar, both revolving around yelling. Manga's main issue is that excessive use of his quirk causes a sore throat, and Mic with his years of experience could help him overcome that drawback (or atleast handle it better). If nothing else, it could make a cute sick-fic !

2. Forbidden love trope

Mic is Manga's teacher, a Pro Hero, and twice his age. That sort of dynamic lends itself to the forbidden love trope. Sneaking away to empty classrooms, meeting at each other's dorm for "tutoring", or days out for "patrols", these two could get really sneaky !

Manga is 15-16, and Mic is 30-31. If that's your thing, that's already a point, but it can also lead to silly scenarios focusing on their age difference. Whether that be Manga being naive due to his young age or perhaps even Mic being out of touch with the goings on of the younger hero.

They're also both heroes, who are supposed to be lawful, so there's angst potential regarding the guilt either of them could feel !

3. Hero worship

As seen in Manga's casual wear sketch by Horikoshi (seen below), Manga is already a Mic fan, giving him a reason to pursue Mic romantically!

There's also potential in how Mic would feel being pursued so enthusiastically by a fan (or a student for that matter) ! Would he be uncomfortable with the situation ? Perhaps he would be totally chill with it ? Pleased, maybe ? And what about Manga, would he be insistent, not giving up when told "no" ? Or maybe he'd give up, but by then the seed's already been planted in Mic's mind. It's up to you !!

4. The height difference

Present Mic is 6'1", and Manga, owing to his speech bubble head, is anywhere from 4'7" to 5'3". A short king x tall blonde and handsome ? Yes, please ! This size difference can lead to plenty of scenarios. Including things like Mic having to double over to give Manga a kiss, or Manga having to scale counters to give him one back ! (Also, Manga being swallowed in Mic's hero outfit jacket. Think about it.)

And the final reason you should totally ship MangaMic ?

I completely forgot about this MightMic/PresentMight comic I made becuase it’s a total fever dream but anyway it was inspired by an image that appeared on my Pinterest timeline of Mic seducing Toshi like this but then it refreshed and I never saw it again

Having ur favorite character be a side character is kinda crazy cuz like yeah everyone else is cool i guess but I'd put them all six feet under in a heartbeat for like 2 extra minutes of screentime for my fave
