I was literally fine with the bad ending like it's fine I watched Naruto and I'm a grown woman I'm not about to pout over a regular shonen ending.

But Izuku rejecting Katsuki's offer to work together as heroes is where I draw the line. Specially because the way it was written is so?? Kirishima saying "haha Bakugou you just got rejected" and Katsuki's long silence after Kirishima tells Izuku Katsuki is inviting him and Izuku rejects him a SECOND TIME.

Like it's clear Katsuki is hurt and it is written in such a "my love interest just said no", there is no way Horikoshi didn't mean to write it like that, why???

And the way Katsuki just looks SO DEVASTATED, the uncomfortable silence, I'm just so...

Was the point to make him suffer at the end? He started a project so Izuku could fulfill his dream because it was also his dream to be his hero partner, he is tanking at a baffling #15 spot in hero ranking because he was waiting for Izuku, all for him to say "no thanks"
