we really went from "women and girls can do anything" to im just a girl i only do girl math im a passenger princess i dont drive i dont eat i just do haha girl dinner im so sillyyyy i wear makeup bc i want to i also try and define all women into categories that are marketable omg what if we were just girls and we were so useless and helpless
It's absolutely cruel to women in general to have gender neutral bathrooms replacing women's rooms, but it's downright unfathomably evil to do this to little and teen girls, especially in schools.
Imagine being 9 and getting your first period, bleeding all over the toilet, thinking you're dying, and having your male peers in the room with you instead of just other girls who can get you cleaned up and comfort you, telling you what a period is and that you're safe.
Imagine being 12 and having endometriosis, curled up on the toilet in agony on your lunch break at school, and hearing the boys in the next stall over making sex jokes (or worse - laughing at your sobbing).
Imagine being 10 and having no way to hide the fact that you changed your pad from the boys in your grade who will then go on to tease you and say you're bitchy and hormonal if you fight back.
Imagine being 14 and trying to find a moment of reprieve from the boys sexually harassing you, only to have them follow you into the bathroom and record audio of you urinating.
Imagine being 6, just entering first grade, and having an older boy kick open the cubicle you were struggling to lock.
Imagine being 17 and having your male peers crawl under your cubicle, phone in hand, camera app on.
Imagine being 15 and having nowhere to be with just your female friends to cry about heartbreak or harassment, or even just to be with girls alone to laugh and joke in peace.
Lack of sex segregated accommodations in wartime prisons are considered a human rights violation by the Geneva conventions for a reason. This is psychological torture towards our girls. It's evil. Truly fucking evil.
I can feel concern for any woman that I want. "She doesn't need your pity." She doesn't have it. She has my concern. "She's rich, she's doing just fine." Great, she still has my concern. "She's sexually liberated, you're being weird." Dope. As she should be. She still has my concern. "You sound like a Karen." I've seen what you define as a Karen, so that doesn't mean anything. She still has my concern. "She wouldn't give a damn if you were the one going through it."
My feminism is not conditional. She has my concern.
Dear misandrists,
In case you haven't heard it today, you're all hostile, aggressive, psychotic and a threat to men everywhere.
As a black woman the more radleaning I go the more I realise how much leftist men and libfems hide their misogyny by putting "cis white" in front of woman.
since i'm putting in effort to revamp this blog and use it more, i might as well make an about me:
hi, my name is dot (short for dorothy). i'm adult years old and i live in the great city of wouldn't you like to know-ville.
i'm crypto. in fact, if i'm reblogging posts from you, it's very likely i follow you on my main.
you might know me on other websites as vampface or vampfacing.
DNI/DNF: anyone not willing to engage in good faith. everyone else welcome, i don't mind cryptos following me and i don't mind "hatefollows" from TRAS.
beliefs: abolish the sex industry. LGB without the T. the beauty industry calls women ugly to sell us shit. 4B, we will not free ourselves by coupling with our oppressors. men can't become women and vice versa. BDSM fetishes are normalized domestic violence. non violent fetishes are used to sexually exploit all aspects of female existence. believe all women, yes, even that one you don't like. i stand with JKR. yes, all men. Feminism should be intersectional. Not your uterus, not your opinion (Pro-abortion and pro-choice).
i used to cry so much as a little girl cause the tights and dresses were uncomfortable and having my hair brushed and braided and put clips in it hurt and when i cried i was punished physically & emotionally; i learned that discomfort and pain is inevitable (and then being shocked to realize that this isn't the case for boys and men; how comfortable they are in their t-shirts and shorts and their bare face and short hair, with no pressure to change any of it). then having others act as if growing up as a girl is enjoying all those things that hurt you and having people take your emotions seriously. just like being a teenage girl is supposedly slumber parties and playing with makeup and gossiping about boys when in reality it was being sexually harassed and assaulted and being ashamed of your body and of being female at 12 yrs old and being terrified of men for as long as you can remember and being denied from seeing your girlfriend because your relationship is Sinful and being 14 and knowing you're seen as nothing but a sexual object meant to be used and abused by men; to be touched and groped and kissed and hurt and threatened and asked "how much" by a random man on the street; asked to cover your legs so you wont tempt adult men. and growing up to be a woman and being told none of that actually happened, or if it did, it means you're the privileged one for experiencing girlhood and femininity; not having the right to talk about how much it all hurt you, how much it hurts other girls and women all around the world, how males simply do not know what it's like; to be told to stay silent or you're the violent oppressor, because you talking about your experiences as a female human and showing dismay about the things that hurt us are the same as genocide. being mansplained these experiences by people who never experienced it. everything is the same except now i'm supposed to play along with pretending my oppression is actually a privilege.
Current queerness activism is off its rocker and needs an entire overhaul. I couldn't figure it out from the beginning.
"Let them pee!" was pretty good, actually, I did fall for that one, an emotional appeal that people could relate to, but they just couldn't keep the lid on the AGPs hateposting their erections in the ladies rooms and getting their sex crimes splashed all over the internet, all the while insisting that it clearly had never happened and never would, and was paranoid pearl-clutching.
And No Debate? People said that like it was a normal thing to say in political debate, and not a huge red flag.
And using a word as loaded as genocide to describe stroke-of-the-pen lawmaking? Really ill-conceived.
Transphobiaaaaaaaaa! worked for awhile, until there was only one thing left that wasn't transphobic, which was lesbians having sex with men, and now does it mean anything? Other than 'you're not doing what you're told'?
Not just those language problems, either, the academics took the idea public that words about women don't really, on any meaningful level, define anything, and there's nothing about a woman that makes her a woman, and pointed at clownfish and shrugged smugly, like a reproductive capacity of a fish meant that women had been mistaken all along in believing we were women.
And then there was the shitshow of 'bonus hole' and 'non-men attracted to non-men'. That was an own goal. Now WPATH is chucking cis-supremacy around like that means a single thing.
The whole affair has been an utter shambles from start to finish. Just staggering from one PR disaster to another, constantly doubling down, and consistently revealing motives that look pretty indefensible, like begging for blockers and hormones for children, or they will harm themselves, while adult trans identities are valid just by saying so, and that women should participate in sports, contact and otherwise, with men, and be locked up in prison with them.
Queer Theory doesn't care about women, or know anything about women, just like Michael Foucault. It doesn't even respect women enough to answer our questions about seizing our rights.
Back to the drawing board, QT. Maybe get a talking gecko.
It is a deeply anti-female movement, it hates that women talk back, protect their kids, and analyze its ideas. So please keep doing all of that.
Baffling. Madness.
a small reminder to questioning people that it’s okay to read opinions you don’t agree with. there’s nothing immoral about reading and considering what other people have to say. taking in information and learning is not in itself a transgression and your beliefs won’t be shaken by reading things unless you do, in fact, think that they are accurate, which is okay and you should be free to explore that further without anyone breathing down your neck.
anyone who attempts to make you believe that you can’t read things said by certain people is trying to control you, because they know that alternative opinions could cause some people to stray from being under the influence of their own group, and they don’t care about these individuals’ well-being at all, only their own status and how many people will uncritically listen to everything they say.
it’s always okay to question. there’s nothing you aren’t allowed to think about.
there was a trans march in mexico city days ago where this man, after lifting his skirt and flashing his underwear, yelled "hope your daughter gets raped, b*tch!" at a female cop.
TRAs and their obsession with sending rape threats to anyone that dares to disagree with them... nothing new.
